It wouldn't have taken 2 seconds for a child to break themselves. Even watching and standing right next to them we don't always have time to offer a quick reaction
When I was younger I hurt my leg and it hurt to walk on it.... so my Mom to me to the hospital!! The hospital told us that it was ok and that I could put my shoe on and go home..... I told my Mom I can't it hurts!! So she made an appointment at the orthopedic center and come to find out I had a chip fracture that the hospital totally missed I had to get it casted I'll never forget that thank goodness my Mom listened to me!!!

Because it’s easy for a child to break their leg, even if you are watching them. When you have a broke leg, it can go back in place easily, and you can walk right on it and you never even know.
@cudlebunny21 this is semi true. A kids bones are still flexible until they hit puberty. It takes a lot of force to break it however kids think they are invisible. It wouldn't have taken 2 seconds for a child to break themselves. Even watching and standing right next to them we don't always have time to offer a quick reaction

When I was younger I hurt my leg and it hurt to walk on it.... so my Mom to me to the hospital!! The hospital told us that it was ok and that I could put my shoe on and go home..... I told my Mom I can't it hurts!! So she made an appointment at the orthopedic center and come to find out I had a chip fracture that the hospital totally missed I had to get it casted I'll never forget that thank goodness my Mom listened to me!!!

Seriously the grandmother has a big mouth, u can c she dislikes the father & that’s fine but your daughter loves this man so support them. I can honestly say that us grandparents do have blinkers where our grandchildren r concerned & we forget that yes we yelled at our children & we got stressed out with our children but with our grandchildren we can just love them, spoil them without having to be the stressed out tired parents. I got reminded when my son yelled at one of his kids & I said stop yelling at them & he looked me dead in the eye & said oh u never yelled at us, he was 100% right & yes I did apologise & when he does discipline them I keep my mouth shut. I had my time raising my children & it was now his turn & he is a brilliant father just like his Dad was.

the grandmother instantly got my attention. her yelling and stuttering, projecting, and the minute she brings up the age difference she gets pissy. if cps cleared him, and they did a full panel of investigation on him, and he willingly let them search his house for dangers and dangerous hazards, there is no possible way. that grandmother is responsible, hands down. i feel like someone isn’t saying something. the dad was completely open and honest, willing to explain everything, stand out of the chair on his own with no complaints, no temper tantrum, no nothing.
if i went on steve’s show, and i told them everything about my family dynamic, he would have berated my ENTIRE family. i get disciplined by hitting and smacking all the time when i know i did something wrong and continue to do it even after i get told no. kids will NOT listen to you if you tell them no.

I’d just lie to say as a fully adult woman I recently fractured my fibula just by walking and having my ankle twist, so I can see how the same could happen to an unbalanced baby, that aside no man or woman or anyone should lay hands on a one year old or any child for that matter, having to spank your kids is failing at parenting, we know it’s wrong to hit dogs, cats, other adults, and our spouses, but people don’t realize that same sentiment should apply to your own kids. In fact, corporal punishment of any kind has been outlawed in 60 countries/provinces, just not America yet, if other countries can recognize it’s wrong we should recognize that as well.

I’ll never understand why people think hitting a child especially a baby is going to “Teach” them by hitting them! It will teach them to hit someone when they’re mad and to be afraid of the person hitting them even when they’re not hitting!! It makes sense with how at that age kids walk funny. My kids are 4 and 4 (about to 5) they will walk on their tippy toes. One day, my oldest did it, and I told her to stop. She rolled her ankle and complained it hurt. Took her to the doctor, gave it a minor strain. She learned tho, I shouldn't be doing that
