Another person said Dan tested whether or not he was attracted to boys, girls, women, etc and that he passed for not being sexually attracted to little boys. That’s why he says he was cleared.

@Tshalamonii I felt like that for a long time but in my case it was my cousin. Why would my mom ever think she needed to protect me from a cousin? In this case, it was the dad. How could the mom have known he would touch their kid?

@@Taylor112996 Nobody anticipates molestation, but there are signs that you can heed, maybe not to who is exactly doing it but that it’s being done. And if she’s under the influence, she wouldn’t be able to pay attention fully like a sober parent would be able to.
For those wondering how Tony was proven, I can explain below as I saw the full episode today. It's apparently not shown in this video here. Tony was indeed untestable as shown, but there was a custom-made test which Dan performed on Tony. Admittedly I cannot remember every specific detail, but I will give a general run down.
The first part was to show what Tony could be attracted to. According to Dan, Tony showed no attraction whatsoever to underage males, and most of his attraction was towards females aged 17 and older, which according to Dan is normal for this situation. He was also given other questions in regards to this accusation here. Unfortunately I cannot remember what Dan said in regards to exactly what the questions were, but for this test, he said you need a +7 or higher to pass, and a -7 or lower to fail. Dan said that Tony showed no deception in the tests and that his result was a +19.
That's how it came to this conclusion.

They didn't have to make him look bad. Doing drugs before the show makes him look bad. His son saying "Daddy did ___ to me" makes him look bad. The mom didn't want this to be true. It's devastating that they don't have answers for the boy.

Don't think I agree with how this was handled. The mother is in a treatment facility trying to recover from drug use, the grandma is clearly a user, and the father is just out and about using it. The child's best bet would be grandma. But the dad used knowing that he was coming to the show, he's not proven innocent, so I'm confused as hell on Steve's reaction. Cause he still could've done it. But mother feels ashamed about her choices and is trying to get sober in rehab, so I feel bad for her and the child.

Good job, Steve. Good job. Another occasion where you handled things really bad. While the drugs have made this family a bad one.. it's not a direct cause for a child's molestation. That can happen to any type of family.. even the best ones. You should know.. there are moments when people lose sight of their kids. And it can take one of those occasions where stuff can happen.
Edit: Apparently Dan did his own assessment of the father.. which why that was left out, who knows.
Anyway.. it could've been someone at that treatment center who had done it. Which you guys failed to consider. Instead you couldn't help but take the time to condemn them instead.

Steve & his whole crew have told dozens & dozens of guests all the time, before coming on the show, don't take any illegal drugs & other substances that'll make the test results inconclusive.

I had some rough shit happen to me when i was a kid and i can tell when i meet someone if theyre a child molester/abuser .. people have to learn to follow their gut.. as animals we have only been communicating verbally for a very small amount of time, if you get a feeling about someone believe it! I think it's unfair for ppl to automatically blame the parents, because it's not always that simple. I was molested by my own brother, in my own home. My parents taught me all about stranger danger, but in my little mind I thought it was ok because it wasn't a stranger. I showed no signs anything was going on, but my little brother tipped them off by a comment he made. My parents did all the right things, and called DHS and got both of us counseling. My parents felt so much guilt, but I've NEVER blamed them for this because they couldn't have known.
Of course there are some parents that are just negligent and I think it's disgusting, but it's unfair to assume that's always the case without knowing all the facts!

@ho7877 I never made an assumption. Assuming that parents are to blame for every child molestation case is ignorant. Parents can do everything right, but it can still happen. I stated in my comment that a lot of times parents are to blame, but that's not always the case. Your child could be molested by there teacher at school, is it the parents fault for sending there child to school, or in my case a sibling who'd never done anything to leave them concern before? Your being ignorant not me.

No. But, when it comes to the parents being under the influence around a child, that can make a recipe for disaster. In that case, the parents would be at fault whether or not they were under the influence. If they did it themselves, that's a different story. If someone else did the crime in the same environment, the parents are in, then the parents are at fault due to them being under the influence.
How can the mother put her son at risk by letting him be unsupervised with this highly suspicious man?! What a useless mother. I also don't trust her saying the boy said nothing to her. She is trying to cover up for the father.
