Too good. I grew up in Benalla, on the Melbourne - Sydney line. Steam was common, but Diesel's were beginning to take over. We moved to Tatong, 30km SE of Benalla. There was a Benalla - Tatong line, of which there is still plenty of evidence, ie, bridge pylons, roadbed, and culverts. I find disused railway lines thoroughly interesting. Thanks. 👍👍👍

Back in the early 90s a stunt man was killed at Robinvale silos during a movie stunt gone wrong.
when it was planned to remove the Robinvale rail motor, it took longer than expected as several bus services were arranged to other locations rather than one bus from Bendigo to Robinvale, for example the bus to Robinvale came from Swan Hill. (it might be the Swan Hill-Mildura service.)

I was in Robinvale over the 2024 ANZAC weekend and visited the Rural Museum, my understanding from the visit (per the comment below) was that the line went through from Robinvale to Euston / Benanee - you can still see some of the rail line on the Euston side of the river. (Fun fact: the museum also noted that Robinvale was called Bumbang before it was called Robinvale). As a kid I recall hearing the sound of the passenger train coming into Robinvale at night and went to see the final trip it made (1978?). During my last visit, I drove across & looked down the line wondering if it was still being used, now I know! BTW - the train to Swan Hill / Bus to Rovinvale service from Melbourne is wonderful & cheap, it is so much more comfortable than driving from Melb / Robinvale.

They should link Swan Hill to Milldura by rail. Its surprising there wasnt a line running along the Murray anywhere.

The Railway Reservoir near Korong Vale is very impressive. It was built by the Railway to provide water for the trains. There is extensive aqua ducts and sluices built for its catchment. There is about 3 pages including pictures of information on it, in the 12 page "Korong Vale Community Plan" done by the Loddon Shire in 2003. You can look at the PDF just by searching for it online.
I used to work at Reservoir Railway Station😅.

Would it be possible if you did a video of the Echuca do deni line as well as the split at Barnes that let the line go out to moulamein I think it was
good show. have you thought about the koondrook line. my dad, who drove country trains, used to tell us about wycheproof and koondrook and how the line ran down the middle of the road. wycheproof is well known. koondrook is not.
You should do a video on the change of gauge and all the nightmare that caused 😊

Why is there so many lives next to each other
I'm assuming you mean lines and I think the reason is for farmers in the north west easy access to export their grain via rail. The distance between stations would have been easily done by horse and cart.
In it’s heyday, the VR boasted that no farmer need to transport grain and other goods more than 20 miles.
20 miles is a standard for horse drawn vehicles (& I guess early motor vehicles) that’s why early wheat silos are so close together! It’s a pity the line didn’t continue to at least Euston. Fair bit of freight originates from there! Great video!
