@@VWFarm It was just that, a 1946 Beetle, all original (?) and advertised on ebay, of all places! And for under $10K. If I remember correctly it had many KDF marked parts. This was about 1999 and $10K was a LOT of money for me.

Yes it is negative you are correct. I do commonly call it an earth lead yet it does not go to earth 🌍. 😂
