Getting ready to pull the body off mine! I don't have an engine hoist though.. that seemed handy. I've made a jig out of fence posts to hold it and wheel around the garage lol.
There is so much out there for them I was surprised haha, hoping to fix the engine we have otherwise build up another one. I wouldn’t mind a Subaru swap just all the engineering requirements…
Hey mate, what did you end up doing about that gap on that J mount on the outrigger? I have the same issue with the floor pans i'm about to install on my beetle.
I clamped it down as much as I could, unfortunately it was all I could do the rear mounts near the shocks require a slightly larger rubber spacer now but it all went back on okay..
@@EngineeredToDesign I watched a bunch of other videos last night, and I think that the pans that we have (it looks like we both have the same ones from brazil) have a much longer bit at the back which rests on the bottom bit of J mount bracket instead of the top of it (if that makes sense). I might end up trimming it so that it can sit flush.
Love the Aussie safety boots brother! Great job.
Gotta love them 😂😂

The beetle bug is going to be a o sweet
Caro amigo, sou apaixonado por fusca tanto que estou restaurando um 73 em casa. Para mim é uma terapia.
Are you liking the beetle build?
Yes sir. I love building and working on car's, trucks, everything really.
@@reddenley9822 that’s awesome!
Great video mate, it is fascinating you can just buy replacement pans for these older cars still. What motor are you planning on putting in this?
