Hope you guys all enjoyed this loooong video. It took me ages to make so I hope it was worth it!
Another great video on cyberpunk. Well done keep them coming.
This was great! Thank you for taking the time and effort to put all this wonderful lore together for us all. Nova Choom!
It is much appreciated. Great video!
I watch your videos over and over, best cyberpunk lore videos out there in my opinion
Your hard work is much appreciated. Remember to take a break! 👍👍
The nomads are something very interesting to me about the cyberpunk world. They also seem to be the people who have somewhat functional moral codes
Without the nomads the whole world would probably be screwed honestly
That's exactly why I choose their lifepath when I first played this game .
They even have home-schooling and take education (learning life skills and encouraging the curiosity to learn) very seriously. Whereas if you grow up in night city your education is like a dice roll. At best you learn which vending machine food you like more.
Nomads are the only groups of people in this age which have kept a social fiber and care about more than just themselves.
Yeah it would of been a perfect ending...you get the girl....get a cool new family...a bad ass Basilisk tank...only damper is V is still dying....:(
I love how the leader of the ocean nomads is John silver, named after the famed one-legged pirate antagonist from Treasure Island. It's a cool reference
There’s lots of pop culture references in all of them actually. I love that about them
The true Dominant clan would be MetaCorp whether people agree or not. They evolved into their own corporation making the other corporations depend on them
Metacorp just have a different structure than the others. They're not larger. They provide something plenty of other clans also sell, migrant labour. The large, international corporations hire migrant agricultural workers, construction people, cleanup crews etc.
metacorp are bunch of baby killers lol😭
God I wish they could’ve made a DLC based entirely around the nomad clans and like, exploring the world of NUSA with them seeing the badlands, moving from city to city facing huge challenges and such
I think they could pull off a Technomamcers dlc. Though a game around the nomads would be cool
Its called metro exodus lol, it is veeeeery similar to what you described
How about going Mad Max?
They wont, were only getting one dlc and its not about nomads unfortunately.
Same!! I read they are only making one dlc (which I hope is wrong) and focusing on the next game :(
The technology advanced group I think I know what Panam has in mind now to save V.
Grown up Ina Biker commune left some years back. Don't talk much bout it. I played this game first time few days ago. And the nomad opening hits too real. This may be just a game. But it roots in Reality .
The way he pronounces "Bakkers" makes me cry in Nomad
Same with “patent able”
@@konradcurze8176patent table
Who else wants a nomad themed cyberpunk game and see multiple cities. That sounds amazing to me.
That would be so cool. If only cyberpunk launch wasn't so bad. If they released it 2 years later then it would've been game of the year and popular and we would've got alot of dlcs
I'm intrigued. Just out of curiosity, how many cities would you want? What level of detail you want the cities to be? And what kind of interaction would the player and the environment have?
@@cookdislander4372its quite good now, I waited the two years to actualky play it. I BOUGHT IT ON RELEASE AND IT WAS A SHAMBLE.But its very good now and runs veery well on the steamdeck
I imagined before it released The Nomad life path would play like Mad Max and have a emphasis on driving and desert exploration only to be forced back into the city😢
Would be cool to get another DLC for the game, but with the Thelas Nation nomads
I love Nomads! I actually took the idea of a Nomad clan and a discord family I am in and made the clan based around it. All based on River/Coastal trade. I didnt know that there were aquatic nomads but thats so cool to add to my lore for the clan!
I love the different groups and their backgrounds and personalities in universes like Cyberpunk, it makes the world feel alive.
I knew the Aldecaldos would be a fitting end to wrap up the Cyberpunk 2077 lore. _"Aldecaldos, the nomad group who brought down Arasaka to their knees."_
They're always on the run even after they got the Basilisk as their protection (Details can be found on the laptop near the Ripperdoc). So whatever V chooses his/her lifepath, the Aldecaldos will have to move away. V might be a ray of hope for this nomad clan considering that V holds lots of knowledge to share and improve their life. The nomads like them cannot run away forever, and their final journey will become like the METACORP.
nah they’re way better than Metacorp, an actual family not a stupid corp
Here's the thing: the Aldecaldos we see in 2077 is a singular, small faction of a MUCH larger Nation. Panam's family numbers barely a few dozens (from what we can see in camp) whilst the wider Nomad Nation has thousands of members. And these nations have power, they have the firepower to break corporate interests coming after them and ever since the Time of the Red, they hold global transportation in a stranglehold.
So yea, 'Saka can go after the Nomads full-force, they'd just sign the death-warrant on their international buisiness.
By far my favorite lifepath in cyberpunk
it's a shame you don't have a million subscribers, your videos are that good
Thank you dude! Maybe one day I’ll be that lucky but for now just gotta keep grinding :)
Great video an lore. Didn't know about all the clans. I'm trying to recall now if Johnny mentioned being with the Aldecaldos for two years.
I can’t remember it honestly but it might have been changed for the game. I know he’s a bit hesitant of Nomads so maybe there’s a story there I need to look at
Its not mentioned.
Though Digi-Johnnys memories are a mess so maybe he doesnt even remember.
It's only mentioned in a data shard afaik
I think Kerry mentions it when Johnny talks to him in V's body.
Absolutely love this lore vid! I only played as a street kid in Cyberpunk 2077 because almost everyone I watched play it played as a nomad, otherwise I would've played as one since it's the most appealing lifestyle in this setting to me. Very much like pirates, smugglers, wild west types which is awesome. Well played!
You weren’t lying last night this is a long one and I love it. Thank you!
I’m glad! Yeah I wasn’t lying haha
You are honestly killing it man. Keep up the great work!!
The amount of detail you put into your lore videos is fantastic. Keep up the incredible work.
This game has a good lore, a good city design, very good music. All it needs is perfecting the citizens. To make it feel a real living city.
That is the advantage of making a game based on a rpg that is almost 40 years old now.
Too bad the devs fcked up. Glitches be damned, the story is a Frankenstein abomination shoving pessimism down your throat.
@@skymabile1613bro what? Have you played after the updates? I don’t think you even have the pc to run it
I think this is my fave so far. It looks like a very complicated sculpt, but your painting of it makes it easy to read and still notice all the details. Probably my fave skin you've done too. - cheers
Amazing lore and story telling! Your narration really brought it to life. I started the video just wanting something on the background while I had lunch, but got totally chipped into it. Thanks choom
Seeing how important Chicago is to the lore of cyberpunk makes me extremely happy as a chicagoan
I recently discovered this channel. I have no idea how your channel didn't come onto my radar. You discuss all my favorite games and you do great lore. Easily the best cyberpunk lore I've found on YT. Keep up the great work my guy.
Really loving these Cyberpunk videos.
Great video, man. Could we get one on full borg conversions and the various models available in 2020? Seeing guys like Adam Smasher and Shaitan makes me curious.
No character in all of Cyberpunk gets done dirtier by CP2077 than Shaitan, a legendary bad-ass who survived fighting one-on-one with Adam Smasher reduced to having like... two lines of dialog, firing a machinegun badly, and getting bonked and never seen or mentioned again.
Meta group reminds me of Metal Gear and Outer Heaven
I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if it inspired Kojima at all.
Considering there's places like Slab City, and other real-life Nomad gathering places i'd say we're not that far off from this in reality.
Technomancer’s are a literal gimme to cdpr to include in the next game for V’s chip problem. If they aren’t featured I’m seriously not gonna get it, they could be the contact Panam kept mentioning in her ending to V to save Him/Her. It’d make sense too since their a nomad faction, they really wouldn’t need to do much to make it make sense, please CDPR it’s LITERALLY too EASY!
Then it will canonize the aldecaldo ending
Pondsmith won’t be happy with that
@@javelin_if it could be an addon to the nomad ending if you met some other prerequsites
@@javelin_if it could be an addon to the nomad ending if you met some other prerequsites
Is the next game a sequel or just set in the same universe? With a game where you die in every ending bar 1 I doubt you’re going be to using that protagonist in the next game.
@@fin3642No no, you die in every ending. If you’re referring to the Devil ending it’s still hinted that your brain is damaged beyond repair.
Looking great so far can't wait to sit down and watch the whole thing when I got a sec.
V caught me of guard there.
Well i didnt expect Disney employees to be apart of the nomads. Plus I didnt even know Disney existed in cyberpunk lore lmao 😂
And yes I'm new to cyberpunk lore and hearing Disney is apart of the cyberpunk universe caught me off guard
I wonder if McDonald's exists
@@Man_Aslumeapple exists

Can exists
@@Man_Aslume in the cyberpunk 2020 RPG game there's a cyber modem made by apple they exist at least in the 2020 timespan

Oh ok
Not the type of video I usually watch but so well done I watched it all the way through. Well done. Good voice
Thank you for the break down! I didn’t know that much about Nomands, and now I’m a fan! They just want freedom at their core, and the fact most of the clans ban slaves and murder puts them at the moral high ground were gangs are concerned.
Glad you included lore from the TTRPGs in this video
I don't give a shit whoever is the strongest, biggest, and legendary what matters is who welcomed me, it is a ride or die with the Aldecaldos!!
This video isn't the first of yours I've watched.. but it is the first cyberpunk 2077 video I've chose to watch.. you got me to sub for a game I don't even want to play.
Well done! Thanks for spending the time to share the lore, it's appreciated.
You have the best lore videos. Keep making them please 🥺
I was literally binging your cyberpunk videos and this popped up out of no where 😭
Hope we get more nomad stuff in the next game, they seem to have a lot of interesting lore that wasn't fleshed out in 2077. Great vid!
Such a cool look into the nomads, thank you!
Nomad Santiago likely had a canonical (and famous) son with Rogue, Trace Santiago. You can actually see a picture of Trace and his edgerunner crew behind the bar at Afterlife.
Yo it's crazy that I'm only just finding this channel. TH-cam is sleeping on you my guy.
New sub for life right here keep up the awesome work!
Great video man! The TTRPG should throw you a thanks, these lord videos have greatly interested me in reading the source material.
Keep this up man and I’m going to end up buying a tub of G Fuel even though I’m not an energy drink guy.
A1🔥 extra crispy
Really like these lore video, thumbs up.
Interesting to learn about this stuff. No real intention of ever playing 2077, I know it’s not what I want out of an open world RPG, but I will shove any and all interesting lore into my brain.
Maybe the Pen&Paper could be something interesting for you instead?
or maybe give it a try? i was with you, but decided well why the fuck not, finished two days ago, havent been able to forget that experience
@@Weiswolfe i did try, played about 10 hours & it most definitely wasn’t the sort of WRPG I enjoy. that’s ok tho, different strokes for different folks.
@@Slop_Dogg not to be that guy but what's the issue? What other RPGs do you like?
@@hughmann9568 Not him but the game is VERY linear. You can't do shit and you just get railroaded along making stupid decision after stupid decision. It's an RPG in gameplay sure, but not in story. The best you get is different flavor text. Same shit with Fallout 4 pretty much.
I thought Technomancer is Techno Necromancer for a sec lol, Garry I blame you for this.
Great vid as always!
And this is just one of many reasons why I have been enjoying all of the Cyberpunk lore!
This is very interesting thank you for doing it. I wonder how much of this might show up in 2077
30:06 That earth, wind, and fire joke was too funny!!
😂😂🤣🤣👍🏿💯
Wow I never knew there was so many different nomad families, it's a shame they didn't put more or all of them in the game since they are nomads it wouldn't be a stretch to say that all of them was in night City for some reason, and another missed opportunity for CDPR not allowing v if you did The nomad path to rebuild his nomad clan or build entirely new clan especially with his legendary status he / she would have at the end of the game, it wouldn't be hard to recruit anyone since v will probably go down as the greatest nomad that ever lived .
But by the end of the game you’re gone, dead, or dying. Not exactly a good time for starting new families.
CD Projekt red had so much more to worry about that I think establishing a new nomad clan was far from their to do lists. Plus, V (in most endings), dies by the end of the game. Kind of the point.
No, these aren’t missed opportunities. These could all be expounded upon future games and media, why put it all in one game. People like you should learn to temper their expectations and actually think about games realistically such as its budget and scope, not “OMG WHY DIDNT THEY PUT EVERYTHING INTO DIS GAME THERE IS SO MUCH LORE WHY NO EEVRYTING IN GAME???”
You get to join the Aldecados if you accept the offer. I thought that was cool. My V was a nomad and in love with Panam so he joined them and left NightCity.
We get good info on the bakkers, snake Nation and the aldecados. Shaiton being in Johnny's flashbacks is also nice since we was a nomad at one time. There's a way to discuss him with Saul but I'm not sure during which conversation. The nomads are so varied it'd be had to put *all* of them in a game.
Thanks for the video. Thelas is my favorite.
There is so much story to this universe. CD Projekt Red has an abundance and endless pot of possibilities for the franchise
Nice 👌. I hope you were covering this group
AMAZING video!
Every video with a Boogie Wonderland reference gets my like and sub!
The cyberpunk lore is very big I choose: aldecados in nomad path because they are family they fight together with panam great review of cyberpunk nomad lifepath choom great great
Nomads to me is a futuristic take on travellers/ gypsy
Man! Metacorp legit made their own city!!! And help out with the poor? Man i luv the nomads!! Even the nomads that helps the people the government doesn't!
9:42 Wisefish: "The bakkers clan was in utter shambles"
Me: Man that graffiti is a classic 😂
"Welcome to the Salty Spitoon, how salty are ya?"
"My gang was once one of the two biggest drug dealing gangs in North America and after winning the Miami thunderdome, took over a failing traveling circus and became the number one entertainment gang in the world!"
"Yeah, so?"
"*By taking over Disneyland and Disney's assets.*"
"Uuhhh right this way, sir!"
Damn even in fiction Disney is greedy
wow another one out of the park!
That explains the bakkers
Super useful.
The Earth Wind and Fire…. Great edit 😂
Great video, I just subscribed! ❤ Don’t stop, I love these types of cyberpunk videos! Keep it up 🔥
Loved the nomads and Panam....did not like Saul one bit....was not sad one bit when Smasher smashed his head like now Panam can focus solely on the V.....lol
I actually know a Cyberpunk fanfic called Night City: Legacy which has a pair of Vs (one female and one male) that have the Nomad backstory and the story goes way into the Nomad culture of the characters. It’s really good, I suggest checking it out.
Where could i find it?
I’m considering looking at the CyberPunk TTRPG, any thoughts or suggestions?
Bakers? I thought it was Bakkers? Like backers?
It is backer but it appears somebody didnt pay attention to 2077.
Now I want Saul to bake me a cake.
@@studiodevilry8412 he would, but doesn't want to in case he pisses off a corp by doing so.
I want a corporate-nomad war
What about Non-Patriated, another group of Nomads that operate around the world as a task force?
If Vin Diesel played this game, he'd be a Nomad for sure
All about family
Could you do a lore vid on Johnny Silverhand and Rockerboys?
Gotta love The Nomads thanklessly holding the world on their shoulders (Except The Raffen Shiv, Fuck The Raffen Shiv)
I would bet money the next cyberpunk game has us work as nomads. Its gonna happen for sure with how much lore comes from there.
How they gonna revive a gang that already exist in Chicago 😂 im actually curious behind that idea
I love it
Did you edit the Cyberpunk Wiki after/while making this video, are people taking your video scripts and using them to edit the Cyberpunk Wiki, or are chunks of your script just taken from certain pages word for word? I was trying to find more info on Technomancers and on the wiki, the text is verbatim from this video.
Leaving with the Aldecaldos is the only viable option in 2077.
Unless you break down the city hierarchy and get on top
I'm gonna have to go home and fix a "Corpo doc" I made on a Nomad clan I'm playing as bc at the time of making it, I didn't know any other Nomad clans.
Thelas Nation sounds cool...
One Piece Approved.
Preem video!!!!
So the leader of the Wraiths is also a notable ATF member.
Bomb them 👍
What is ATF?
I like how the Snake Nation is just old school US.
Nomads are the best part of cyberpunk
If this ever happened in the real world, we can all agree that the Nomad life, while it's very dangerous and challenging, it's also the best path to take and be part of a Family
Best part of this video is the worship of Earth, Wind and Fire lol
Nomad origin is the only true origin. This is the Way✌
I love your Cyberpunk lore videos, I like that you take your information from both the sourcebooks and the game. But you pronunciation of some things is... interesting (to say politely). V pronounces the name of his old clan several times in the game - It's Bakker (pronounced BACK-er), not Baker clan. Also from the Arasaka video, the name is pronounced SaburO, not SaburU Arasaka.
"... earth, wind, and fire..."
I see what you did there. 😉
Baker?
Aren't they called Bakker?
Nomad Life forever and always
4 Ever fam !
Is this information from the Cyberpunk Red 2020 lorebook?
Some of the stuff is bits grabbed from it yeah
@@WiseFish Thanks! I still need to grab that book. I'm a sucker for Tabletop RPG books.
So...Technomancers could literally save V's life ?
Yes easily
You're pronouncing "Bakkers" as "bakers", but ingame people pronounce it "backers". Which one is correct? :D Great video nevertheless. Nomad was always my favorite lifepath in this amazing game.
It's definitely pronounced backers like in game. They aren't a clan of baking pastries and pies. 😂
