High relic rating is not actually required to get the "Don't Fear The Reaper" ending. To get the ending, you just have to pick specific dialogue options at the oil field.
What an absolutely nonsense requirement. Should've been based solely on relationship to Johnny instead of a single side mission. Good thing it's treated like a secret ending so I can forgive it.
Referring to Yorinobu is a hero: Once he graduated from highschool he was informed of all the dirty secretes of Arasaka. is is speculated that one of these secretes was the idea of his BODY being used as a vessel for his father Saburo. this is supported by his reaction during their meeting in konpeki plaza: "Our future? OUR?" As mentioned my Jackie during "The Heist" in their hotel room, Yorinobu went off an formed a gang called the Steel Dragons in japan. and in the lore he primarily fought against and rebelled against Arasaka, which, at the time due to his actions of rebellion, was disowned from. This all changed once the AHQ Bombing happened in 2023, he saw that even if you drop a nuke on arasaka they'll just brush it off in a few years time and keep going like it was nothing. so instead of continuing what he saw as a futile effort to try to take arasaka down from the outside, he got back into the graces of his family through the death of his brother (shared grief and all that) and began to dismantel it slowly and carefully from within, forming his own faction as well. We as the players are tricked and fooled to see through the lens of V and to take there persepective at face Value, when in reality Yorinobu is a rebel, playing the longest con you could imagine
This all makes so much sense, I remember reading a shard in game referencing that at Yorinobu’s 18th birthday he was called into saburos office and told of something that made him, a few hours later, leave and vanish. In the shard it was never revealed what he said, but this makes total sense! Also, if you wouldn’t mind I would love to know how you figured this out! Or where you heard it from
With the whole Adam Smasher thing, I am partial to him detecting V and Jackie through the walls. From what I remember it is stated somewhere that he does have the implant that allows him to do such a thing. There could be a lot of reasons or explanations as to why he did not, I personally think it plays into the arrogance of his character. Jackie and V were low-level mercs that had a very high likelihood of just dying to Arasaka security without him even needing to do anything. That might be the reason he let them escape because we know that Adam could have caught up to or just outright stopped the car physically with his bare hands. This came back to bite him as V got his revenge in the end, well, a majority of the time he did.
i think the entire job was a setup for the mercs to get blamed for killing saburo. im not sure they were ever supposed to successfully recover the relic, and V getting away is the anomaly. smasher DOES try to kill them immediately after he's cleared for it. johnny even being on the relic in the first place is sort of a prank on saburo on yorinobu's behalf. he wants to use the chip to give himself immortality so instead yori brings his ancient enemy back to life.
@@mattb6616 Wasn’t the heist set up in part by the voodoo boys tho? like they wanted the relic because johnny was on it, and they planned to use him to contact Alt. Dex was part of a huge gig in Pacifica that went to shit fast and forced him into exile for a couple years, and i suspect that he was only able to come back because the voodoo boys wanted him to do the heist in exchange for him returning to night city and regaining his position as a respected fixer, and they knew it was practically a suicide mission with little chance of succeeding so they used a disgraced, disposable fixer that isn’t all that important. it explains why he picked jackie and v, two low level mercs at the time, and his connection to evelyn who was only supposed to be an informant for the voodoo boys, and the voodoo boys’ technological expertise could be why dex knew what the flathead was and went to buy it off maelstrom. And Yorinobu’s murder of Saburo felt more like a spontaneous instance of hotblooded murder and not premeditated murder, because if he did plan all this out, why not actually properly kill him to make it look more like V and Jackie did it? Yorinobu says Saburo was poisoned despite it being glaringly obvious that Saburo was strangled, something that Takemura definitely picked up on but couldn’t question him about it due to his position. I think Saburo still would’ve been killed that night whether or not Jackie and V were there, because Yorinobu obviously has the power to just pass of an obvious strangulation as a poisoning, so he wouldn’t need to do all this with the heist to take out Saburo and could just fabricate evidence of an assassin taking him out. It’s more plausible that Jackie and V were just there at the wrong place and time
In the tabletop game books it states Smasher never takes a job unless civilian casualties and collateral damage are acceptable. “All the same meat to me, None leave the slaughterhouse.” If Smasher could see you through the wall/tv, He would have tore V and Jackie out head first
It's a bug. Boss enemies always see you and you can't hide from them. Don't know why people always assume everything is lore related. Especially in Cyberpunk lmao

That thing about ALT. I think the Explosions that rocked the building is what disconnected ALT’s body from the NET. The only thing Johnny did was think she was dead already, instead of Jacking her back in. What we see happen a lot of times in 2077 is how Johnny (The Construct) Remebers.

I have both Nibbles and the Iguana but the Iguana hasn't hatched as of yet. Also, Johnny's memories aren't accurate and can also be attributed to Arasaka manipulating his memories. As he might not have been behind the bombing of Arasaka tower

What are you on about? That literally cannot be the case based on the tower ending
This is so wrong it ain't even funny
Op is right if you read shards and remember your conversation with Hellman, the chip needs the host to be brain dead before it can kick in and begin rewriting neural pathways
that is literally not true wtf 😭
Slight correction for Your Voice: it also has a physical release. I actually own a copy of it.
I think it would be cool if Cyberpunk 2 had all the features the E3 demo had
15:31 never choosing that ending again everytime I see reed we smoking his pack for doing a brother like that I was stuck on that ending and couldn’t do shit dead ass i finish the credits shit puts me back in the hospital bed we letting songbird die and if we do save her reed that pack is being smoked heav
Anyone know the name of the OST used in the final tier? 1:46:20 Around here. Thanks.
Never mind, got it lol. For anyone else interested, I know the link for the music used was posted in the description but specifically it’s “Leaving Home (Safe Before Exiting)” in “Music to Become A Restful Cube To” :)
I want the next cyberpunk anime TV show adaptation to be about ragebartmos
an iceberg video without an actual iceberg? 😢
29:50
Thats not Cyberpsycosis. Thats just being a pop star
I have both Nibbles and the Iguana but the Iguana hasn't hatched as of yet. Also, Johnny's memories aren't accurate and can also be attributed to Arasaka manipulating his memories. As he might not have been behind the bombing of Arasaka tower
SPOILER: He wasn’t it was a Militech. I mean, think about where tf a rocker is gonna find fissile material.
you are correct about his memories being inaccurate but like we know what happened with the bomb though
song bird lying to V is 100% in her character lol
1:45:01 from what I think is that the next dlc or the next cyberpunk game might present a V who this time try to escapes from NUSA and managed to do that and become a living legend again?….
Does anyone else notice that some missions are named after 80s goth songs
New dawn fades joy division
Killing moon echo and the bunny men
Lucretia my reflection sisters of mercy
And I think that Adam smasher knows or he feels like something is there but he’s unsure m
every mission is named after songs
@@TUCHENZ specifically every mission after Johnny gets put in V's mind
TIL Disasterpiece was an 80’s goth song
@@reddays8448 bot just goth songs. There's some NIN and a lot of classic rock
Fun fact: Bullets is name the of the song by Archive that plays in the 2013 trailer that features Melissa Rory, which is pretty cool.
I always thought that blue eyes was a reference to the great gatsby
59:55 that aint like a braindance at all lol
I need to remake a mission to save Takemura 😢😂
But you can save takemura, from the fire?
@@Leafeye7942I think they meant they have to redo it

Dude, those Slavic names are not that hard to research or pronounce.
Then pronounce them

For the iguana its important to know that you HAVE to be a Nomad to get it
No, you don't. The iguana in the Nomad intro is a separate iguana from the one in Yorinobu's penthouse.
Case in point: I got it as my Corpo.
@@JackContraband Also, case in point: For Nomad, V and Johnny have a little back and forth asking if it's the same Iguana. Jackie says it's not.
no you don't
1:13:22 not allegedly, the datamine was legit. but its clear that the datamined script was a rough draft of sorts. but a lot of things on it like songbird, saving the president, yada yada was confirmed when the teaser for phantom liberty released shortly after.
Iceberg*
good call
@@MulgarLive great vid tho choom
56:40 this one a reach
E3 Deemo?
W catch Marko
The whole game exists within the Relic. V died. V never really had a choice. Well, they had a choice on how to end his story.
Ain’t no way mr blue eyes isn’t at least a BIT of a reference to G-Man from half life
good video, just wish he didn't mispronounce literally everything
same tho fr 💀
AI video lmao
You got several things wrong, but whatever
30:22 🤢🤮🤮😩
Okay dude
❄
It's weirder that you went out of your way to make a timestamp for it.
i've never understood people who think shepard or V are male characters. why do they get better woman actors if we're not supposed to play them by default?
