Oioi lovelies! What fab pipe finds, especially that tiny beauty and love looove the bartmann beard! Lead seal also a stunner. How funny that we both explored the same location just days apart? Great vid as always 😍 can’t wait to meet up again soon!
I really enjoy and appreciate the support and encouragement you treasure hunters / artist share with each other. A great example for the young and old. Thank you for sharing.
Finding another mudlarker who finds the face to your beard sounds like the perfect "meet cute" for a Hallmark movie. While I am enough of my a romantic to think of it I am too lazy a writer to attempt a screenplay. Please someone who has time to fill write somethink lovely with this premise.
Kate, i think its endearing the way you say think for thing, dont be afraid of the grammar critics, i think you are an absolutely smashing young lady. Your mum must be extremely proud of you.
Thank you Paddy! I had never noticed how I said it before, until I read the comments... but it seems that I am incapable of saying it correctly, it takes a tremendous amount of concentration & then the other words get jumbled, haha, so thank you for saying such nice things (as always x )
Thank you so much for recording that mosaic. So wonderful to see the timeline and pieces that were found along the river. Your family interactions are just so special. I love seeing you interacting together. You can just feel the love in your family. ❤
"We won't do anything with it." - "It's a candlestick!" - "OH!!!" (duhh) I love the relaxing, casual - low lit, sepia-tone banter between mother and daughter. And yes, . . . the low lighting turned out well and furthers the illusion that you are truly our friends and that we know you - but . . . sadly, . . . we don't really. But, it is a welcome regularly anticipated get together in this season of solitude for so many us, your extended e-folk family.
Thank you so much tisumoyu for such a lovely comment! We absolutely love talking to & interacting with all of our wonderful subscribers every week... and seeing people in the comments interacting with each other. You're right, this mudlarking community does feel like an extended e-folk family
Thank you Amber, Millie & Paddy, I had never noticed how I said it, until I read the comments, Unfortunately it turns out that if I try to say it with a G, all of my other words get a little jumbled, haha, so thank you for making me feel less self-conscious about it :)

Aww I always wonder how on Earth you can find those tiny treasures in the mud but I see it's being close to the ground and being patient :) The garnets will always be my favourite and I treasure the ones we got from you :) Nicole & Craig
We do spend many hours at each place, crawling around low to the ground, haha We also love the Garnets! One day you will have to come down, and collect some of your own! Looking forward to your next video! K&C x
The unusual little fossil you found is a scale from a fish. Alex from the Northern Mudlarks just found one as well and it is in their most recent video! The fish looks similar to a String Ray but the fish it comes from is called something different and it is an endangered species.
Another lovely video. Your videos are like sitting back in a cosy armchair and being overwhelmed with peace and tranquility. Youre more precious then a complete bartman jug. Keep safe.
Lovely lark ladies, great to see Oscar along, good to see him show off his pin finds with a smile. If Oscar keeps up his interest and with 2 such wonderful mentors no reason he won't stay interested, he could end up the most knowledgeable mud lark in England.
Thank you Janettemay! Oscar was very excited to find his first pins! He is learning and showing more & more interest in mudlarking, we have high hopes for him, haha
Good old father Thames throwing up interesting goodies for your eagle eyes to find!! That whole Bartman you desire must be loitering around for you to snaffle. It will come just as the Mudpies are chasing a whole mallet. Thanks so much for showing us that superb tiled mural, such a visual timeline of London’s history. Always a pleasure to join you guys on your trips. Sue and Ian, Australia
Thank you Sue & Ian! We would absolutely love to find a whole Bartmann neck one day, but I imagine the Mudpies will find their complete mallet bottle far sooner than us, haha, they have all of that glorious mud to search! The mural was beautiful & so very detailed, we'd not seen it before but loved looking at it all :)

Oh what a great trip, to take all of us on!!!! I felt as if I was kneeling down on the shore with you all! Katy, I really like your vintage outfit!!! Oliver it is so good to see you up close, and my gosh you are getting taller!!!! My favorite find is the curved piece of glass your mom found. What a beautiful color, can't wait to see how you use it! Thanks so much for all you do for us. God Bless You
Hi lovely ladies, some great finds and your chat at the end always enjoyable 😉 loved seeing the mural and St Paul's in the background. Must be pirate rum . Thank you 😊 again , much love Sue Gosling ❤

So glad you all had such a great lark on the Thames. 🙌🏼 The little fairy pipe is precious, and the beardy Bartmann piece is awesome. I do love the old pins though, there is just something about them. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great week !! 🥰
Thank you Karyn! It was a lovely trip! We completed agree about the pins! We don't know what it is either, but they remain one of our favourite things to find, hope you have a great week too :)
Kate is just so lovely... Why aren't there more interesting kind people like you guys about!? Those peices of roman tile are fab! We did another "mudlark" of sorts this eve and found some seaworn bottle necks and a little chunk of torpedo bottle... We also did a mini dig yesterday and found a mini lead native american and a little mini bottle... One day I'll find a good place nearby 🤦♂️😂
That is very sweet of you to say Richard! We got very excited about the Roman tiles once we started researching them! It sounds like you found some wonderful things, lead figures are one of our favourite things to find. Fingers crossed for you to find some more good places to search :)
I thought the mosaic was brilliant, Jane teaches mosaic to anxious children who are having problems, we have lots around our garden, including a huge bee, mostly made of a broken mirror that our lovely neighbour was chucking in the bin and Jane grabbed, they're getting used to us now and have started offering broken things, wood for me, china and glass for Jane! Kate..... First time I can remember, no nail varnish, what has happened to you, we like to see the regular damage to your nails from diving into rocks, streams and Thames waters! I'm wondering just how old the sharks tooth could be considering London was once a tropical area of sea and forest, who knows? Same applies to the spiny fossil, could it be some kind of prehistoric protective spike, maybe on a fish or creepy crawly. Many fish have strange spikes like this as protection. Loved the little bit of hypocaust, I'm a bit of a Roman nut, sop living 15 minutes outside of Chester is bliss, we have so many Roman remains, including the city wall, the amphitheatre, and the Roman Garden where there is an intact hypocaust set up, fascinating. Nice finds as always! Love the Bartmann/Bellarmine beard...... absolutely love finding pieces of Bartmann face/crests when I am mudlarking. I always look and study the Queenhithe Mosaic when I walk past it, so much history told and shown in a beautiful piece of art.
Thank you Maarina! Bartmann pieces are one of our favourite things to find! We hadn't seen the mosaic before, and were so excited to look at all of the tiny details!

Loved the finds, and yes the one tile piece did look like the Sphinx. LOL I learn a lot from your finds, even the pin twists are amazing to me, something so uninteresting had a use, and a history. The mosaic was absolutely beautiful, the skill it took to make it is mind boggling, and so much ancient history on it. I laughed to myself, when you talked of the boar's tooth, and said, it may have even come from Henry the eighth. and I thought as big as he got, he most likely ate the whole boar. LOL Thank you both, and big yell out to Oscar, have a good week
What a lovely day on the Thames you had! Oscar cute excited face was just Awesome! You all looked so happy! What wonderful finds, and happy faces with each find. Thank you Sandy! Oscar really enjoys the Thames especially & that is a wonderful idea for the bottle pieces! We hope you enjoy the rest of your week :)
I kept waiting for you to hold your Bartmann Beard up to the Mosaic Wall's Bartmann example....since he was missing his beard. I agree that watching you mudlark along the Thames is almost as satisfying as being there in person -- although I'd love to be on the foreshore with you, in person. ;-)
What a wonderful day on the Thames. One of these days I'll get there and have a chance to mudlark (with a permit, of course). Kate, I can totally see the sphinx in that flint!
Such amazing little finds ladies🤗🤗 The fairy pipe has to be my favorite on this trip, but all the finds were amazing!!!!! The one fossil is a real mystery🤔🤔 Great video again, hello again from Ga USA!!!!!! - Peter
You got some intresting finds.i must admit i do love the pieces of pottery you find especialy the roman ones. Its hard to think sometimes of just what is still buried beneath all that mud and stones and how old it all is. Looking forward to seeing what that find is that's a first.roll on next Thursday.
I wanted you to know how much I love your videos!!!! And I was watching The Chosen and there people playing knuckle bones in the back! I was so excited.
Thank you Kathleen! The roman finds are especially amazing to us, to hold something that old in your hands is an amazing feeling :) You're right, it is crazy to think of all the things still in the mud, yet to be revealed
That beautiful curved green glass would make a marvelous collar ruff for a fancy lady doll. You are so creative and I just love your creations. Continued good luck on the Thames!
About the fossil. At first I thought tooth. But I can't help but think it is a plate with a spine. Awesome find. Tales from the Thames would is an awesome idea.
A lovely day along the Thames and finding so many ancient items, I forgot how noisy London is and I like the interesting mural. that spine on the scale could be from a fish or lizard but not seen anything like it. That flint does indeed look like the sphinx, well I sphinx it does lol. Lovely video thank you
Wow! So many lovely treasures and some interesting mystery items 😊 Really loved seeing you all on the Thames again🥰 and what an amazing murial 🙂 thank you for sharing
The mural was beautiful. A trip across the pond is definitely on my bucket list. Great to see Oscar's beautiful blue eyes. Miss his handle bit though. Lol Love the excitement of you two showing each other things.
I loved the mosaic on the wall on the Thames. Of all the people that I watch that walk the Thames I have never seen this. Very cool. You found some amazing items.
love your outfit, I could never pull it off. you always look so effortlessly cool. Fabulous finds, look at you all out and about and its us in New zealand who are in Lockdown now. ho hum............. Loved watching
Oh my lovelies you have definitely found a new species of "somethink". And I'm sure it wasn't just flint. It was an ancient tourist copy of the Sphinx from thousands of years ago. Oh and most definitely pirate rum bottle neck without a doubt! Much love for you ladies.
Kate, I love your hair, I used to wear mine that way. Scottish hair has a mind of its own, that’s why I kept it French braided.. You look good with long hair, I have a bit too much age for it to look good on me. Take care.
Thank you A Layne! I have always loved the look of French braids, but I've never been able to do them, haha. I am trying to grow out my hair at the moment, but I still sometimes get the urge to chop it all off again!
Oh what a fantastic outing. The tiny pipe bowls remind me of mushrooms!! I love the 1600 pipes. The pins are so cool, as are the garnets. I must get a permit!! Will you be making candle sticks or something out of the bottle tops? 🙂🙂🙂 Happy hunting !!
They do look like little mushrooms! You definitely should, the treasures from the Thames are very different to the treasures we find elsewhere. We will be using some candlesticks from the bottle necks, as they stand up perfectly on their own! Happy Hunting Adam! :)
31:33 Im pretty certain that is from the side of a pot there would have been another on the other side and then a rope/cane handle teither end fixed around the knobs.
Fascinating finds and that mosaic was wonderful. I was staying in London last week in that area and watched mudlarks so wishing I could join them. I hope you solve the fossil mystery and I love the idea of Thames stories👍🏻😀.
I remember when we were stationed in Frankfurt Germany and Our Dad and us kids would go to the Rhine for flea markets and I would always see Bartmann jugs. Thought they were cool then and still do!
It absolutely looks like the Trilobite spines in front of the largest ones on the trilobite picture you showed....they are even on a rounded area like the one you found! Looking at the photo you showed you can see them, same size and all, so I think you figured it out!
Oioi lovelies! What fab pipe finds, especially that tiny beauty and love looove the bartmann beard! Lead seal also a stunner. How funny that we both explored the same location just days apart? Great vid as always 😍 can’t wait to meet up again soon!

Another masterpiece. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! :)
love your outfit, I could never pull it off. you always look so effortlessly cool. Fabulous finds, look at you all out and about and its us in New zealand who are in Lockdown now. ho hum............. Loved watching
Keep safe.
@@sticklebacksummer thank you. we live way out in the country so things dont change much for us out here.
I think it's a ray fish spike from the back of a ray fish.stay lucky...Victor..
It definitely looks like one! Thank you Victor!
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers I have found some fossil ones at Reculver in the past when looking for sharks teeth....
Oh my lovelies you have definitely found a new species of "somethink". And I'm sure it wasn't just flint. It was an ancient tourist copy of the Sphinx from thousands of years ago. Oh and most definitely pirate rum bottle neck without a doubt! Much love for you ladies.
Hahah, thank you Julz! You have convinced us! :)
I love the sphinx!
Well done!,
fossilized witch’s hairy mole? Just a thought 😉✌️💚
:) :) :)
Love your channel. Thank you for showing the wall that was so very interesting I just loved it. God bless and keep you.
It is an amazing mosaic! Thank you :)
Kate,
I love your hair, I used to wear mine that way.
Great video thanks for sharing xx
Loved seeing you on the Themes. Great finds, I miss how you used to show all the finds on the table.
Fascinating finds and that mosaic was wonderful. I was staying in London last week in that area and watched mudlarks so wishing I could join them. I hope you solve the fossil mystery and I love the idea of Thames stories👍🏻😀.
We are excited about the Thames Tales! :) Thank you Charlotte :)
Would love some Thames Stories.
Hi great video love the bartman pieces great how you get right down on the ground and find lovely tiny finds keep them coming loved it 😀
Thank you! We usually crawl along on our hands and knees! Not sure what we look like, pretty odd I imagine haha :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers no we do the same and when were in the dump I'm usually deep in some hole lol
Thank you! I really needed another trip today!;-)
You are welcome :) xx
I remember when we were stationed in Frankfurt Germany and Our Dad and us kids would go to the Rhine for flea markets and I would always see Bartmann jugs. Thought they were cool then and still do!
One of the most exciting searches to date.
We do love the river Thames!
Enjoyed the video girls, like the pipe......see you next time
Wish we had your kind of places go go here, nothing eases up on shore that anyone would want. I am jealous. Keep the videos coming great job.
Your videos seriously make my day!
It absolutely looks like the Trilobite spines in front of the largest ones on the trilobite picture you showed....they are even on a rounded area like the one you found! Looking at the photo you showed you can see them, same size and all, so I think you figured it out!
That would amazing if it was! Thank you Jenny :)
Great Video 👍
