Hello! Sorry about the brief jumpiness at around the 14.00 minute mark. We have edited it out in the youtube editor but it has been processing for about 5 hours now, so we thought we would just upload it, and hope it's not to nauseating. We have already uploaded this video twice, because of a separate issue, so it's all been a little stressful, haha! Sorry again and we hope you enjoy! K&C x
Mudlarking With Kit & Caboodlers ,,,, YEAH!!!! mudlarking with the Northern Mudlarks!!!!! I couldn’t be more excited!
Sorry for all the comments
I don't care. Your great... even jumpy.
Fantastic mudlark! You are so lucky to meet Richard Hemery! Also the garnets!!!! Alex wants some so badly lol. We found a bartman beard this week also - so many interesting finds. Kate we love your swan, it's so cute! You definitely should open an Etsy shop! Well, we are very excited about our upcoming adventures together - can't wait! Be safe, Gail & Alex xx
Richard was lovely and we learnt so much! The garnets are crazy they were everywhere, we actually stopped looking to look for other things. We are also really excited about our visit, in fact Kate is packing right now haha!! :) x
Kate, I would love to see some of your creations in an Etsy store! You are turning into an amazing Mudlarker and within a year, I predict you will be one of the top artists of Foreshore creations. Variety is always good, and makes each piece even more valuable as it's unique. I wish you the best of luck, your store will be wonderful! Thank you for another great video!
It is a shame things are so up in the air Etsy wise with things as they are now! :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers We will all come out of this eventually. Look at this as a time to get ready, figure out your site, etc. Stay healthy and safe 🤍
Honestly, no matter how much you charge for these one of a kind creations, people will buy them! It's all just so beautiful ❤️
Dear Familie,
Yes.....Richard is the best teacher for pottery!!!!!
I learn so much from your Video.
Thank you.
All the best
Liebe Grüße Jette
Richard is an amazing font of knowledge of the pottery world :)
I know🤓
Be assured that folks would love your swan pins. I know I do. I’d buy one today if you had them for sale. How creative and mudlarkers always run across the swans and photograph them, it’s one of my favorite things to watch. So your pins combine two mudlarking joys, the pipe and the swan! I so enjoyed your trip to the foreshore with Mr. Hemery, he’s very knowledgeable about the pottery and does such a good job teaching those who want to know about it. What’s Fascinating to me is that he can scan that beach and pick out bits and pieces of Roman or German pottery amongst all that clutter. Great finds ladies, we all had a lovely time. And once again I was able to enjoy Sonny Cats purring.
Thank you! Richard is a font of pottery knowledge we had so much fun. It is a shame that such collaborations are going to be on hold now as we really enjoy meeting fellow mudlarkers!
Sunny cat purrrrrrs! That kitty is so sweet, I love seeing him and hearing you guys laugh so lovingly at his antics!
A great video. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I'm glad it's the only thing that is infectious. Kate sleeping on the train. Your children asleep is something to behold, regardless of their age.
😊 thank you
Fabulous video guys! Mum, your day will come...
Thank you! I really hope so (i`m going to wear my glasses fro close looking from now on haha) We had a really fun time mudlarking with you :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Yes, me too. My folded lead had nothing on it. But my cloth seal came from Exeter and is probably 17th century.
Make miniature things for miniature curio cabinets and dolls houses I’m sure there is a market for anything tiny 1/12 & 1/24 scale. Looking forward to seeing you up north, stay safe.
You mudlarkers have such a nice, supportive community! So lovely to see! 💗💗💗
WoW Richard the pottery book of knowledge! Lucky you two. Kate in her plaid 😎. Be well, stay well and remember it’s not a mudlark without a handle 😊
LOVE YOUR ART
Yes I would shop your Shop
Yes yes yes.....love pipes and would definitely buy something from your Etsy store!
Awesome thank you!
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Yes please me too :D
What a delightful time you had with Richard Hemery. I am so happy that so many of the community collaborate and share their knowledge so freely. This helps the understanding of history move from generation to generation so it is not lost. You will all become experts with this kind of knowledge exchange. Thanks for sharing your excitement and learning experiences. In times like these it shows how important it is to build a sense of community and to take care of each other, and some definitely are true examples of giving hearts.
Thank you! Richard is a lovely man and he certainly taught us alot :)
Richard is a walking Encyclopedia. So happy you where able to walk with him. What a gift.
Kate: I miss the wind and rain hairdo. Richard has such knowledge. Keep calm and carry on!!
Awww lovely video and lovely Ladies and Gentleman. Ofc beautiful Sunny cat
Thank you! We enjoyed our day immensely!
I love the information Richard has about things found there. Very interesting finds and the crucible is my favorite. The Yellow is always cheerful.
Richards knowledge about pottery is amazing! People were coming up to him asking him questions he is quite the celebrity :)
Good luck with your Etsy ideas. Yes I believe people will like your creations. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create.
Thank you so much!
Richard is such a brilliant, lovely man. What a joy to spend time with him, thank you for sharing☮️🇨🇦 Your swan is beautiful Kate, magical. I would definitely purchase one or more from you. Please open a shop.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice day of hunting. Kate, I think your swan is very nice and I think the vase of garnet and pins flower sounds lovely. The tiny vial full of garnetts might sell too. Maybe on a necklace chain with a tiny bow around the top. Just don't be frusterated if sales are slow. Art takes a special audiance to appreciate. I am learning that with my line of wooden display stands and cases. Your art is beautiful and you have a very creative vision. It will just take a special person to appreciate and love it. If you can find such a person, they will be a repeat customer for sure. Good luck and happy hunting and keep loving what your doing.
Kate really enjoys making her recycled projects she is just a bit self conscious about perhaps selling them :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers I really think she could, to the right market. I just don't want her disappointed, like I am with mine, if they don't sell right away. She is a great artist.
Hi very interesting video, we thought the brooch you made was very imaginative!.
Brenda liked the garnets they are her birth stone, just going to watch the Northern Mudlarks now,
Looking forward to your visit with them next week, strokes for the lovely Sunny. By from us xx,
Thank you we are very very excited about visiting the Northern Mudlarks!
Actually that blue stone Kate found in the setting could indeed be something more than glass. A pipe a pipe my kingdom for a pipe... congrats 🎊🎈
Sunny cat stepped on the cuff link so it must be her fav too.
That sponge is really cool when you think that it may have once grown in the Tethys ocean more than 200 million years ago. Cool beans huh 🤔
Keep being creative, Kate. You are doing cool stuff.😎
It did strike me as odd that they would set glass in a silver mount! I love the foreshore for its diversity, fossils to tokens. It is truly amazing :)
Richard Hemery, high priest of pottery finds! So nice to see your collaboration with him.
USA, here. Your swan was actually the 1st item, in your round up, that caught my eye. I love the whimsy of them. Also, random is great. Good finds ladies. Stay safe and stay healthy. Love from across the big pond.
Love Sunnycats purring, always makes me feel warm and fuzzy!
Wow! amazing finds! You're so lucky to be there with Richard, the font of pottery knowledge! x
I hope you start an online shop, I would definitely buy things, a lot of your items would make great gifts.
Good job on the Thames garnets!
That's exactly what I look like searching for carnelians here in Marin. I wish we had the diverse history and artifacts you have.
That was a lovely video to watch, and you picked up some charming little finds. Richard is a proper gentleman and always so generous with his knowledge, what a treat it must have been to spend time in his company. Love the swan brooch - very creative work. Good wishes for tomorrow with the lovely ladies from Northern Mudlarks!
Richard was lovely and we learnt so much! I hope he enjoyed himself as much as we did :)
that will be cool i am excited i love the Northern Mudlarks! you found some really nice things today!! i enjoyed it quiet alot.
What a fun, jam-packed assortment of goodies and good company. I see the music link, but I know I won't find that lilting, dreamy song you used. It, and your treasure hunting, briefly transported me to a calm, gentle place so lacking at the moment. Thank you and, please, send my regards to Sunny cat as always.
You guys are so relaxing to watch! Thank you so much for sharing your finds!
Awww .... a sleeping Kate! And a purring sunny cat too!
Love love love the garnets and the tiny beads!! So much fun.....would love to go there some day!
We were very excited about the garnets!!!
My goodness, Miss Kate😮😯!! You've found your mudlarking eyes!!! What a fabulous cache of finds🤩. And what a real treat to get to go to the foreshore with Mr. Tom. So envious of you 😉.
Hope your families health is good. Sending you all positive vibes and 🙏's for health and safety in your travels. Hello👋to Sunny and 🤗's😘's for him , too.
FABULOUS swan pin!!
I have to admit Kate is definitely getting her eye in whereas I seem to be losing mine haha :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Ah, but Fleur...you found a bit of "Wild Man" beard 👍. You can put together your very OWN "franken-bearded" Wild Man😉🤭.
Great some more entertainment for today
Favorite part of vid....sunny cat purring in the background....
Oh that precious Sunny cat purring made my day. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Have fun with life stay healthy.
We are trying it is a bit scary at the moment with Corana virus though!!
I love your idea of the little vase with roses! The bottle that holds the garnets is adorable!! You are very creative.
Thank you! 😊
What a wonderful day to lean about ancient pottery. I must say though, I really love sunny cat he is so adorable and I just love his puring and mischievous way.
Kate you are so cute with your yellow boots, checkered overalls and picnic basket knapsack! I love your enthusiasm.
Bravo👏👏 yous did again another brilliant collab just like Tom both different but knowledgeable a joy to watch like selfs. I haven't even watched but know I'll like it cheers thanks many regards from Ireland as usual.👍☘🇮🇪Godbless🙏
Thank you! It is the Northern Mudlarks next :)
Well done gals! Great video. Richard just seems the loveliest 🙂
Well, thank you!
He is haha :)
I love the Sunny Cat round up. So cute 🐈
The 'faceted' nature of some of the garnets is their natural crystal form - the more rounded ones have probably tumbled around in the current and lost their original shape. Always exciting to see what you find! :)
Sunny cat always brings the fun to the end
The two tiny glass beads are what I'd call seed beads looks to be size 11/o and a size 9/o, most are Czech glass.. Love the Videos Thanks for taking us along..
I love your fantastic swan its really unique and aesthetically appealing. Yey for a collab with Northern mudlarks. Richard seems like a really lovely man.
Great video guys some lovely finds the garnets are well cool Kate your rocking that checkered outfit 👍
Kate loves to cut a dash on the foreshore haha :)
Haha she dose it well love the vids 👍
Glad you are collaborating with the Northern Midlands
I look forward to that and Richard is very knowledgeable
when I was young I would buy surprise boxes from the local rummage store or goodwill. I think that a small box of treasures from the Thames would be really cool! bits of pottery...a garnet...copper nail or two etc...you could have levels of worth...10 dolla box...20 dolla box etc... I know I would love to get one as a gift. Once again your videos make me smile. pet the kit kit for me.
That is a really good idea! Not sure we can embark on anything etsy wise at the moment with the current climate. Everything is coming to a stop!
Hi folks, I recently found your channel and I love your videos! You find the coolest things and have so much fun searching (love all the treasures). I look forward to your new video every Sunday. I would buy Kate's swan brooch in a heartbeat, so hopefully your Etsy store will come about in the near future. :-)
Can't wait for next Sunday!
Caroline from Colorado
Thanks for watching!
Enjoy watching you with your adorable caboodles. How awesome to have spent time with Richard Hemery!
Yes it was!
Kate’s token could be a bishop boys token it’s likely as it has the short cross on it which is indicative of an early hammered coin from around the 13th century. But it also could be a silver short cross penny from an early monarch like one of the Henry’s, sometime silver can look like lead if it’s heavily oxidised from age. The FLO Officer will confirm it if you take it to your local officer for a true identification. Lovely lark as usual guys 😉👍✌️✌️
Kate is very excited about either of those identifications! We are definitely going to make a trip to the FLO officer with a few things!!!!
There are a lot of people who collect miniatures, I being one and I love your idea of making small roses and putting them in little vase. A garnet for an eye on your swan broach would make it worth selling.. You both make me laugh and I enjoy all that you do with kitty and your son. Have fun and stay healthy. Susann
Wow those nails Kate are spectacular
Kate has lots of plans for her nails haha :)
What a wonderful adventure. Kate found a complete pipe and cool lead tokens and mom some awesome pieces of pottery. Wonderful video. Oscar needs to go with you guys next time for some fun. Look forward to future videos!
Thank you! Oscar is desperate to find Garnets so we will definitely be taking him back. It is just going to perhaps be a bit harder to visit the foreshore for awhile soon, because of the scary Corona Virus!!
Oh Kate wonderful finds, I love to see you get so excited when you find something special!!!!! God Bless all of you!!!!!
Thank you so much!
I love your finds, especially that iridescent bottle base. Those garnets have a sweet color, the ones I find here in the US can be really different depending on the location. The ones I find in North Carolina are red but covered in grey mica. The ones from Montana are solid black but have great natural facets.
How nice of Richard! He is quite knowledgeable on pottery! I'm looking forward to videos of your trip! How exciting! I'd love to purchase some of your finds or creations. A little bottle of garnets, a small bundle of pins tied with a tiny ribbon or one of your lovely created brooches! 😍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Kate you have extraordinary ideas that are well executed when you put them into action. The idea with pin and garnet roses in the glass bubble vase is another great idea. Have no fear your things are sellable.
I had my doubts about your orange billed swan, but then saw it on your coat! It's darling! Very creative!
Oh Katie I enjoy hearing your cats motor!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the idea of the roses out of pins and garnets
I so adore watching you all. The swan is awesome! The garnet would be a great eye! I love the garnet finding frenzy! Please keep using your imagination and making awesome things. The broken bottles to me seem imperfectly imperfect! I see them and think just a light bit of sanding to smooth the sides,as it seemed to sit perfectly flat, it could be used for many things! I agree that if you have all of these neat objects and pieces the possibilities of crafty ideas you could make. Thank you again for taking me on you always amazing ventures!
Thank you so much! I think we may have time on our hands to experiment with the bits and pieces we find :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers I believe you will have time on your hands for loads of projects! I hope you still post some videos! All my Sunday fun of enviously watching all my favorite Mudlarks will ruin the week if I'm without! Maybe the process of a craft, a craft via the internet with another Mudlark. My first video was Si Finds and Nic with Tideline Art ❤️. I was addicted from then on! Now, I've found you. Northern Mudlarks❤️. Let's go with the Johnson's ❤️. Lucy's Larking adventures, although she has not put one out in a while.❤️ The mudlark whisper Tom Barlow, he may stay hidden but he has a voice that could calm a wild beast! And I was cry laughing because when I watched his video when he went mud Larking with you, I knew he'd love the teeth! Sure enough he had them! 🤣Keep being awesome!
Nice job, ladies! Thanks for taking us all along!
Very cool finds! I totally enjoyed it! Thanks so much 🙏 😊❤
I think that little glass vase is actually part of an old light bulb. The metal inside part of the element. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure
Thank you for that it is definitely unusual :)
Kate you will have to share your lucky Pixi with your Mom...lol. Great finds!
Wish you lovely days with two lovely ladys, succes!
RINI 👐
Thank you so much 😊
What amazing finds love the cuff link I like watching them stay safe x
I follow the NMs! You'll have such a great time. I can't wait to watch.
Thank you we are really excited!!!
I am so excited that you are meeting the Northern Mudlarks! I can't wait to watch all the videos..
Us too!
So very nice finds. As a man who wears a beard that beard was one of my favorites. The tokens edged that out by a rather narow margin. Peace love & mud. TomCat
Thank you! I love finding pieces of Bellamine jugs! :)
Great finds ladies, can't wait to see all the lovely things you make from you finds. Have a great time with Gail & Alex you will have a blast!
Thanks so much 😊
Its great that you met Richard Hemery. He has a unbelievable knowledge of pottery. Hope you all are being safe out there. Be careful. Your friend, Steve Bonds from Bay City, Michigan USA
His knowledge of pottery is amazing!! :)
Super finds, K&C. I really enjoyed the clean-up. GL&HH on the next outing

And YES!!! I would love to see you open an etsy shop! That swan broach is exquisite!
Maybe one day!
Love your Pipe Stem Swan. The Vase of flowers idea is wonderful...can't wait to see the finished product.
Julie/CA USA 2 June 2020
Your Swan is fabulous! Love it! Definitely sell it on Etsy! Your creative ideas are amazing! You are very gifted! Well done! xo
Nice finds great music
Lovely finds ladies! Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
You can make the eye stand out if what I saw is true, the paint appears matt. So, put a gloss on the eye and add a dot of reflection! I sculpt with polymer clay and have a forest, barnyard, and many other places I have to make animals occupy. Thank you for the video. I am housebound due to disability so seeing people doing what I just love, especially outside, makes me very happy. Thank you for that too.
The swan is exactly perfect. Beautiful and stylish. It would be a best seller, selling anywhere.
Yay, garnets! I was as excited as you seemed. I kept talking to the screen and pointing out the ones you missed. What a wonderful lark and how nice to see Richard with you explaining the pottery. It was an amazing mudlarking day obviously, counting the number of other mudlarkers that were on the foreshore. Great video...I love to hear Sunny purring as we do the round-up.
We found a couple more garnets in today`s video but we gifted them to Alex so she could make something with them (although they were tiny haha) :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers So glad that you have 'your eye' in for garnets and pins now.
