It's a year since you added this video and I have enjoyed it so much. I have never held a gobby. But played jacks so much as a child. I was born in Kings Lynn and was taken to America at 6 weeks old and have lived here for 64 years. I so enjoy your videos. My mother who was born in BLACKHEATH and grew up in England would have lived your adventures. The history you shared is priceless as well as your family. Your fan in Oklahoma, Barb
How many Mums will play 5 stones with there child as my Mum did with me over 50 years ago, a childhood memory not just of the game but of my mother too. Time is the most precious thing you can give a child and its free ;)
Hi! You can make a picture for your dollhouse using the oval metal piece and a picture from the newspaper you found! Just an idea! Thanks for sharing your treasures! 🙋🏼♀️📰🇺🇸🙏🏻
The blue glass stopper is stunning. The buffalo pipe bowl is great. The dogs head is cute. Love Kates rabbit earrings. Five stones is the same game as fives, yes?
Sitting here with my old dog. He sleeps now. The orange cat cuddles happily up against me enjoying the warmth on a sudden cool summer day. Roddy, the big white dog, has come to the end of his winter. Goodbyes and final hugs for him. Thank you all my friends. Your happiness warms me.
I like acorns too Kate. I make necklaces from them. They're good luck. 😁👍 When you hold an acorn in your hand you're holding potential. That acorn, if planted, could grow into a huge oak tree. Then that tree will bear thousands of acorns in its life and each of those could grow into a tree. So when you hold a single acorn in your hand, you're holding a potential forest in the palm of your hand. Cool huh? 🤍 Ty the bonsai guy.
Never mind Mudlarking you could be nature photographers. Loving it and worth the wait. I have no idea how you spotted that tiny white bead, your eyes have become so attuned.
Funny you should apologize for your home. The whole time I was watching, I was thinking how charming it was, and how lovely the displays of objects are. It. Exudes warmth and love! Oscar is adorable.☺️
Oscar did a great job! I have to say, just me personally, I liked the roundups better when they were laid in front of you with Sunny giving his approval 😊
well, if you want to be put in a good mood just watch this video and get happy! the giddy excitement is enough to start your day out with a smile and appreciation over the little things.
I love you found a "real" frozen Charlotte! As a crafter in the US, I follow an artist named Tim Holtz who sells art supplies to create mixed media art. Many years ago he decided to replicate a frozen Cjarlotte doll for use in art projects! Had he not oroduced and ontroduced a world of makers to his antique replicas, i would have had no clue why you'd be excited over a doll, even with no head!!! LoL tfs!
Used to love playing Jax , they were silver metal, sort of spikey 'sputnik' shaped, best played on a smooth pavement, you would toss them over the ground and use a small rubber ball taking it in turns to pick up one, then two etc until all the Jax were picked up. .the one who got the most at the end won. The most I could pick up in one go was 17, not bad considering I had such small hands then....in the summer we would play for hours, such simpler times.
My aunts were adept at jacks. They had additional moves, I remember being very young watching them play. They had one challenge as the game went on called "pig in a poke" they'd slide the jacks into a cave of sorts their free hand made. Very long ago. But this game reminded me of jacks as well. Good for hand eye coordination.
@@bluesingmusic3443 Oh I remember that now you mention it but we called it 'stables' we also played 'Around the World' where you had to circle your hand around the ball before picking up the jax and then catching the ball, also remember having to catch the jax on the back of your hands to see who would go first...happy days..lol
Hi there. I think that the greatest challenge with jacks is to catch the ones you throw in the air on the back of your hand, not in the palm !!!! Good luck with having a go with that.!!! Greetings from Wolverhampton in The West Midlands. xxxxxxxx
Bless you Oscar . Wow you found some awesome treasures, can’t wait to see what you guys do with some of the glass and china . God bless and stay safe and well 🙏🙏🥰🥰👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Oscar is a delight to watch, full of curiosity and determination. Your finds were interesting and I look forward to seeing the craft items made from them or groupings/collections eg perfume stoppers. Just to see the variety. Thank you for this video & thank you for being such a good mother, your children are a credit to you.
Hello 👋from New York USA you both found amazing finds my favorite was the Cobalt blue perfume bottle stopper and the Buffalo 🐃 pipe bowl Thank You 😊 for bringing me along with you guy's I can't wait to see what you find next 😊
Your home looks wonderful . Full of curiosity and something of interest for everyone. No one should ever claim to be bored there in a rainy indoor day.
Great finds!!! And oh...I love Kate's rabbit earrings!!! Oscar is so adorable! Glad he enjoyed playing the game. Can't wait for the next video! Have a great weekend!
Love to see Oscar, he is cute and a character, so sweet. Like this kind of video. You all are such a nice family. So rare to see today. Togetherness, wonderful. Takes care, as always I can't wait for your next lark. ♥️🧓🌺 Florida
Such a beautiful family. A lovely video showing some sweet little finds. Thank you for filming in such windy wet weather for us. Well done Oscar at grasping the game of 'five jacks'. All of you take care.
That was so good .you found some great things.but the icing on the cake was seeing Oscar he is the image of Kate you have two lovley looking children Fleur. Well done Oscar on getting the four.as they say if at first you dont succeed try try and try again and you did it.take care.🐱
Hi Fleur, I think the glazed mystery object is part of a footed platter. The glazing looks very decorative in color and the bulbus foot could have been one of 3 or 4 feet. It appears to have some sort of rimmed edge about it so perhaps it was use for slicing fruit and the rimmed edge would catch the juices. Just a guess....but it's fun letting one's imagination go and try and guess what it may have been!
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers YES! I love the fact that you two are somewhat historians and take the time to find out what things are. I rather enjoy that you and Kate do follow up and post in your videos when you find out what a mystery item is. Onward super sleuths!
Oscar that reminds me I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed when you did that snippet of video while Kate was out in the mud a few videos ago. I loved your 🐝 china and you did a great job filming! it is so cool that we get to watch you grow up! great job Oscar 🐝💯
The natural footage that you guys snip in here and there is incredibly beautiful. Although, it is unmatched by the beauty of the relationship between mother and and daughter spending time building special memories like these. Thanks for sharing!
Very entertaining video demonstrating that little jewels do shine on dull days. That blue bottle stop was the best. And thanks to Oscar for standing in for Kate at the roundup. The goby game revived some memories. Sue and Ian, Australia
Love all of the video today and wonderful game too We used to play same kinda game called Jacks in the states your son is so sweet an kept trying good for him......
Cute Oscar! Just like my son was, looking shy until it was just family around. He is just like me now, he can't go anywhere that he doesn't meet someone he knows and then stops and talks. Me, if I don't know anyone I talk to those I have never met and get to know them. I feel your Kate is like that in a way. She is quite but talk about something she is very interested in and she gets very animated and excited, I love their energy! Please stay safe. ❤
As always a wonderful time mud larking with you. Loved the blue bottle stopper, and pipe bowl. Kate was missed, but the two of you did an excellent job at the round up. Oscar is such a handsome little man, and learning the ropes well. Here's hoping the family stays healthy, and safe.
I love that bottle stopper. Beautiful. Kate's rabbit earrings are so cute. Oscar is great helper. The sponge ware is very pretty too. Great video ladies.❤
Really enjoyed this so much. Never apologise for living...mess? I didn't notice anything messy myself. I was thinking how interesting your home looked. Lots of things to look at. I think its the small things ypu find and are interested in that i enjoy most from your finds. Such very interesting little treasures. That broken doll's leg would make a great wooden pegleg for a pirate doll ! Arrrr!
You're all so happy about little things.
When you are crawling around in mud on a windy beach the smallest find becomes very very beautiful haha :)
Your family warms an old mans heart. Keep safe.
Ahh thank you Paddy :) x
Tell Oscar he did excellent with the round up.
I will :)
thank you for taking me on such a wonderful adventure!
I love the excitement in Kates voice, the smile on her face when a find amazes her. I love Oscar's cuteness! Wonderful video as always.
Thank you so much!
that blue diamond glass you found would make a great gas lamp for out side the dolls house
That little bit of jewelry looks like old and newer beads put together, pretty little dance of beads

Excellent idea Jeannie! 😊

Such wonderful hobbies and doing them with each other. Bliss

The half a claw pipe bowl would make a beautiful necklace. The music is perfectly matched and beautiful with the video.
Im at work right now, but based on the joy in Kates face in the thumbnail, I am going to love this video! 🥰
yup. Love those windy gloomy days! The blue bottle stop is absolutely fabulous...
How I've missed you! ❤
The "knob" on the underside of the tile is how it would have been set in packed sand or other packing, it gives the tile stability.
Brilliant ! And well done Oscar !
