For the final boss in the second mission I found an ez way to beat him. I found it during my laso run and I would have been stuck on him if I didn't find it. If you get him to slam into the elevator area before the elevator comes down. When the elevator does come down it will squish him between the wall allowing for you to shoot or grenade his arm for a free kill.
One thing I found unintentionally was you can skip the third boss if you jump into the laser drill and have enough shields to not die and then grapple before it throws you off the map
I think the mission is foundation, when Weapon brings a bridge up piece by piece, you can drop down and get launched by one as it comes up, then if you combine it with the fusion coil jump, you can clip out of the map if done correctly. I’ve only done it once and I’m not even sure if that’s how it’s done but that’s what playback shows
I actually managed to get out of bounds during one of the last missions by simply using the First Strike upgrade on the floor while trying to kill enemies. Idk how I actually managed it, but it is possible even without coils.
On the last banished level I found out that the grapple smash ability could be used to break the out of bounds - I grappled a jackal and used the ability, but ended up landing underneath the map. I got the same issue of my player model being completely unable to move or do anything, but it's an interesting quirk
my first time going out of bounds was actually an accident, I found a random outpost and used the ground-pound with the grappleshot and it clipped me through the ground. I think it happened because I was also ground-pounding right next to a plasma turret and that probably pushed me underneath
You can skip every level from excavation site to house of reckoning with a glitch at the mining laser that makes you invincible so you can banshee (or coil launch) through the kill barrier to get to the island with the house on it
At the end of Pelican Down/beginning of The Sequence you can sequence break by prop flying to the ceiling limit, it makes the game think you got off the tiny island and starts the next part of the mission where you need to get to the 4 beacons. As of right now this just soft locks you since you cannot get off the island, but it could be useful for skipping that fight and bridge sequence(it may also permanently soft lock you off the island, I haven't tried it yet because I panicked and reset the mission). As for why I prop flew there: I wanted to see what was on top of the tower... there isn't anything but it was interesting non-the-less.
In the drop pod part of the escape sequence I ended up jumping off immediately but landing inside one of the center pods that is really low, then jumping to low left pods and running straight to the end. Not sure if it’s any faster than the speedrun strat but maybe something to look into.
I was trying out stuff with the grapple and I found one very irritating soft lock out of bounds spot. I dont remember what mission specifically, but it's in one of the large forerunner structures and there is a really long hole which you jump down well if you grapple the sides and look like 45° up whist being against the hole well there is a chance to clip through it into a spot you cannot escape from no matter what. It was fun to find, but a little irritating needing to redo stuff
I know besides trying to launch to next mission on map with the fusion coil, I’ve seen from mintblitz that you can get extremely far on the map by spawning a vehicle, throwing a plasma at the right spot under it, and grappling it as it flies away
The one trick I’ve managed to contribute to the community was the Hunter Cutscene skip on Blue Team in Halo 5 😅 I’ve always been late to the game for Halo sadly. Found it day one.
I found an easy to take out buss? The brute grapple to the door frame he can detect you once you up on it but once he is in the room he can then be shot at like a fish in a barrel
Awesome video! I'm going to make a tutorial for how to do specific Fusion Coil tech, I'll credit this video and the Halo Runs server for the few I didn't find on my own!
I managed to actually accidentally clip though one of the levels in my first run, it was the one where those hexagon pillars were being built, it was pretty awesome then I got stuck on a wall and the camera wouldn’t move
Not sure how you can use this but I once had a physics break in the open world where I was grapple bashing a gold level jackal shield and flung myself high enough to hit the ceiling or out of bounds wall. sadly it was nearly strait up so I only got about 300-400 meters from origin point. I was coming at him at nearly an 75-80 degree angle down to him at near max range.
Yeah that ground pound got me to go through the map on the map after the Escharum fight. It was annoying because I check pointed after the kill but I didn't die so I had to restart the mission.
I found the fusion coil glitch on accident during my legendary run, gotta say it freaked me the fuck out. Halo infinite is definitely going to be an interesting game to speedrun.
As a beginner hobbyist trying to learn game engines, lately it bothers me that fast moving objects may bypass collissions. Knowing even a triple A game can't get rid of this issue is a relief, now I can sleep at night.
Fire video !! Halo 2’s speedrun has cool movement like sword cancelling/flying and lots of cool skips, not sure if you’d be into it but I’ve really gotten into it
I noticed you weren't angling your cam during grapple shots. Idk if this is helpful but I find if you grapple anything slightly off the ground and angle your cam up, you can get alot of air fast. You can also grapple the ceiling and angle down for a decent amount of speed which can then be redirect into your grapple slide.
I got a run in 1:28 without doing any of these tricks, just by doing the zombie mode glitch with the laser on excavation site. And it was far from an optimal run
5:45 I’ve had the game freeze on me even without going out of bounds. In the Repository mission, in one of the long corridors you can grapple to the top of the room, then progress to the end of the room whilst staying at the top. Once you reach the end you can drop back down to the bridge to progress to the next area like normal. Since (I think) you missed a checkpoint of some kind the game refuses to load the next part of the map, and will freeze you if you attempt to continue.
3:15 oh that explains why so many people fall through the map when they grapple punch the ground. The player launches MC forward fast enough and the tick collision system hasn't caught up yet which means MC falls through the map lol

Going out of bounds so hard you can see Doomguy also zooming around
You see him flying by at mach 10 by using weapon wheel jump

I found the fusion coil glitch on accident during my legendary run, gotta say it freaked me the fuck out. Halo infinite is definitely going to be an interesting game to speedrun.
The final reveal is you've been playing as Doomguy all along
As a beginner hobbyist trying to learn game engines, lately it bothers me that fast moving objects may bypass collissions. Knowing even a triple A game can't get rid of this issue is a relief, now I can sleep at night.
Plenty of other AAA devs have solved this problem from 20 years ago
@@Kronos0999 Yes it's easy to solve by not allowing the character to move too fast.
@@kruth6663 As much as blood can be stopped by staplers. Heh, you're not even a "beginner," you're a sperm-cell, lol
@@Kronos0999 Whatever. You're so smart! 💯
@@kruth6663 I know. You're not however.
Fire video !! Halo 2’s speedrun has cool movement like sword cancelling/flying and lots of cool skips, not sure if you’d be into it but I’ve really gotten into it
Fusion coil launches give me heavy sword lunge vibes from H2 and I love it
Great videos as always Waifu, always look forward to them. Just one thing...you really have to throw shade at 4 and Wars?
if you like it more power too you but halo wars isn't really a good fps hahah
I noticed you weren't angling your cam during grapple shots. Idk if this is helpful but I find if you grapple anything slightly off the ground and angle your cam up, you can get alot of air fast. You can also grapple the ceiling and angle down for a decent amount of speed which can then be redirect into your grapple slide.
Halo with no dying from wall splat from those leech like enemy feels weird
I got a run in 1:28 without doing any of these tricks, just by doing the zombie mode glitch with the laser on excavation site. And it was far from an optimal run
I glitched with the big red turrets when hijacking a elite off it and clipped through the bottom and sublight speeds
Wonder if we will get a co-op campaign speed run category, and how that will change the speedrun
I love grappling and chucking these shits at EVERYTHING, when there are some of these around I barely touch my guns...
when coil launched day1 i wish i had got my streaming rig set up.
makingsure i have space to record anything janky as i love to OOB and figure out setups. on xbox
He just dissed halo 4 and halo wars but not halo 5? What?
Under rated how the grappleshot works in all areas..even out of bounds
There actually is Splatter damage, but it only ever activates if an enemy damages/smacks you, and vice versa, it just has to be specific to happen
I've begun using the Grapple hook and fusion coils to get all the way across the map in seconds. Makes the game a lot of fun. O thoroughly enjoy this style of Halo
Could use a trick to reach terminal involving the gravity hammer a warthog and shield as supplement for the times that you can’t get the perfect coil launch
