    Hi mate, great vid. Im thinking of trying this as an option on an old anolog 2 stroke aprilia. Any idea if i would be okay doing so? I understand i would have to run magnets for the speedo. But other than that, coil for rpms?

    • @Alpha-wu5qx
      @Alpha-wu5qx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. Cheers for the comment. Yes it should work fine, just run the RPM off the positive wire going to the coil for the spark. These use the spark to show the RPM and you setup how many cylinders you have in the settings menu.
      You can also try and find a digital speedo drive that will fit your wheel spindle and use a spacer if it's slightly thinner. They cheap and better than the magnets in my opinion. Also looks much cleaner than trying to mount the magnet.

    Any idea what lights up on dash for oil light? I think I have the same digital dash but doesn’t have an oil lamp light or maybe it does but I can’t get it to go on.

    • @Alpha-wu5qx

      Hi mate. To be honest this one doesn't have an oil light or any sort of oil warning, which is a bit annoying I know.
      But saying that my 2020 motorcycle doesn't have one either.
      If you have a sensor there that will flash a light you could hook it up to your engine light? I'm assuming that's what would come up on mine if I run low on oil, yet I keep checking as I don't want to chance it lol.

      Hi mate. Sorry for delay in reply, we've opened up workshop again under a different name and intend to do a whole load of videos in the new workshop I've just built. Can find our social media under Mad Slick Motorcycles.
      But to answer your question you can! They can be used on 1, 2 and 4 cylinder motorcycles. There's a lot of options though, I've got a different style of one that I'm currently fitting to a SV650 streetfighter project

    Hi. I have fitted this chinese speedo to a 2005 Suzuki vl 800 K5 intruder. I have everything working but cant access the set up icon to calibrate the speedo.
    At present it shows 150 mph at 50 mph . if i press and hold the left button in Trip mode . Nothing happens . The only wire i have not connected is marked
    EE on the Chinese instructions . Do you know what this is for. Thank you Bob

I have the exact same problem .I have fitted mine on a yamaha ybr 125 and on a yamaha raptor 660 .Both same problem can't access menu ...nothing happens when i press the button and I have tryed all the combinations possible of pressing the buttons and nothing. I have installed other models and i could access menu on those....

    I have 2 of those on 2 different bikes. I can't get into menu no matter what buttons or combination i've tried. Pls send me a reply if anyone solved this issue.Otherwise they work just fine..but wrong speed, correct rpm since they come set up for 1 cylinder 4 stroke and both my bikes are 1 cylinder 4strokes..

    Good video, I have a question, can the odometer be reset? or the odometer can be modified?

    • @Alpha-wu5qx
      @Alpha-wu5qx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment! This particular model doesn't. 2 ways we deal with this scratch the old mileage into the back casing so you can add the 2 together or (for ones that don't have 100,000 miles on) hook a drill onto an old digital speedo sensor while it's plugged in and spin it until you get the right mileage.

    • @Alpha-wu5qx
      @Alpha-wu5qx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will actually do a video on the second method at some point. We are currently moving our workshop so will do some videos on the new layout of that also. We have a few bikes that will have speedo conversions along with (fingers crossed) a SV650 we are picking up over the weekend

    Can you fit this to a Pitbike 140cc?

    • @Alpha-wu5qx
      @Alpha-wu5qx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Yes you can depending on the model of pit bike. For this particular one you need a battery and have a 12 volt stator in your bike (some are 6).
      If you have a 12 volt battery in your bike then you can fit one of these fine. If you don't there is more basic speedometers you can install that don't require a battery.

      @@Alpha-wu5qx Can I not run it without a 12v battery and only work on when the bikes started? Thanks for the quick reply... Is there an easier way to contact you to ask for help?

    • @Alpha-wu5qx
      @Alpha-wu5qx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. This model not really without a battery. The power needs to be there as there is a memory wire for settings, time, that sort of thing. You can have a look at other speedometers that will work without a battery.
      Yes you can find us on Facebook or Instagram.
