Nandi Bushell is a British/Zulu instrumentalist. You've gotta see her with the Foo-Fighters live at the L.A. Forum performing Everlong. And again with the Foo Fighters performing Learn to Fly in Wembley for the Taylor Hawkins Tribute

Nandi when she was younger, along with her brother Thomas, spent a great deal of their summer vacation in their mothers birthplace, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Nandi is named after QUEEN NANDI , Mother of the great Zulu Warrior "SHAKA". This is why Nandi often performed in African attire and ceremonial jewelry and leggings in honor of her mothers family legacy. After playing barefoot too. Not so much now that she is 13. Nandi plays drums, lead guitar ( cover of Hendrix VooDoo Child) Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Sax and whatever else she puts her mind too. She had written, produced and performed 4 songs and video by age 10. She performed with the FOO-FIGHTERS on stage in front of 22,000 people in Los Angeles at age 11. At one time Rolling Stone Magazine listed Nandi at #6 Best living Female Drummer in the World at 10 years old. I credit her parents for keeping her humble and grounded and remain a child at heart. Her younger brother Thomas plays multiple instruments also. QUITE a DUO.

Love your reactions to nandi. This was the opening salvo of a drum battle between nandi and dave grohl, of the foo fighters and drummer for nirvana. All this occurred during the covid lockdown. It culminated with nandi playing live with the foo fighters, twice. There is so many nandi videos out there and non of them disappoint

She has been playing drums since she was 4 or 5 years old when she did this video she was 10 years old the drum battle between her and Dave Grohl is (Dead End Friends)
4:46 Nandi started at age 5. According to her, her dad had been a singer in a local band and gave her some basic lessons whereupon she became better than him "after a couple of weeks".
Nandi was 11 in this video and she's 14 now. She became the youngest drummer to grace the cover of Modern Drummer magazine AND she was featured in Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee celebration.
