  • Forty Six & 2 by #Tool - This really was the most challenging drum cover I have done, so far! Lots and lots of complex timing changes and difficult patterns, its really fast in parts and its really long song too! I really enjoyed the challenge!!! I am now a #ProgRock fan! #DannyCarey - AMAZING beats!
My Uncle Ema LOVES ‪@TOOLmusic‬, he has been playing me all their songs hoping I will cover one for a very long time. This one is for you Uncle Zombie. Tool are my most requested band to cover!
    Thank you for supporting me #roland #zildjian #ludwig #vicfirth #sontronics #roland ‪@LudwigDrumsHQ‬ ‪@ZildjianCompany‬ ‪@VicFirthCompany‬ ‪@SontronicsUK‬ ‪@rolandglobal‬
Thank you ‪@sina-drums‬ and your Dad for helping me with the drumless track! ‪@sina-drums‬ YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I love all your videos!

I've played for over 20 years (7 with lessons). Drumlines, bands, many many pro gigs. Im in a tool tribute now and i couldnt play this song until a year ago. This girl is remarkably talented, Maybe a prodigy, but i think that word gets thrown around too often and diminishes the hard work and countless hours that many people commit to mastering a skill like this.

The way she markets herself to the rest of the world and the fact that she is a mimic reminds me of another Brit by the name of Gordon Ramsay. I, as a chef would never disrespect others in the field much the same as I would never disrespect other musicians and their talent. She has certainly hit the ground running. The world is waiting and the stage is yours. Nandi is out in the lead. What are you gonna do?

    • @thyop89

Totally agree, especially with regard to the term prodigy, it undermines the tremendous amount of hard work that goes into what Nandi does.

She already mimic'd Peart... so I got total confidence this girl will own the world of drumming if she wants to.
As to the term that brought me here -- if *she* isn't a _prodigy,_ then I would humbly inquire what you think would even qualify as one?
I'd even suggest her talent level versus her youth is in fact what brought the thought into my head.
Also, she cited 46&2 as a challenge, and cited Tom Sawyer as fun. From my vantage she made short work of both.

I first saw this girl doing Nirvana’s “In Bloom”. She had a lot of passion and I like how she screamed while playing. Then I saw her play Foo Fighter’s “Everlong” and I think that was pretty cool. The fear I had for this girl was to plateau. It’s easy to do and most musicians/artists do. They reach a level and can’t get passed it. But this video shows how much she continues to progress. What she plays here is much harder than the Nirvana or Foo Fighters beat. It’s awesome to see she is progressing. I think progression is one of the hardest things as an artist. Congrats! You are getting better all the time.

    • @BearFattfilm
      @BearFattfilm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@P715R I'm not sure why you have this illogical perspective but of course the concept of something being harder exists. Chess is harder than checkers, the same way as it is harder to beat Magnus Carlson in chess than the average seven year old. A song that consists of a straight forward rock beat like "Where is my mind?" by the Pixies is objectively easier than a song that uses odd time signatures or polyrhythms like most math rock you've ever heard. That doesn't mean one is better than the other. It also doesn't mean either could not be played well or sloppy. Whether you prefer grunge, or metal or jazz is subjective and just a matter of taste, but to argue that the idea of something being harder does not exist is a strange and absurd assertion. By saying "if you practice" you are actually contradicting your first assertion, because practice makes something easier. If something can't be harder than how can it be easier?

Was just watching a drum cover by South Korean musician A-Yeon, a former kpop idol. She was doing a cover of a Slayer song. Her drumming was technically proficient but lacked any sort of emotion or feeling. She nailed the song but it was kind of like watching a robot play it. Immediately I thought of Nandi's drum covers and how much raw emotion she puts into her playing and you can really feel it in the music. And to come to her channel and see her covering a Tool song? Holy crap, dude. A-Yeon needs to spend some time on Nandi's channel to see how you really play drums. Hope someone sent this to Danny Carey. I'm sure he'll love it as much as the rest of us do. Awesome job.

Holy cow, young lady. I played for decades and was told I was pretty good and it took a lot of work. I could never make it look so easy and relaxed. You are a natural, you make it look so effortless. I know you practice and work hard on your craft, not saying you don't at all, just a shout out to let you know that you make it look so easy. Keep smiling, keep rocking and keeping putting us geezer drummers to shame! Stay away from drugs and booze, please, and rock into the next century when you're 89! Best of luck, loads of respect to you, your parents and your family.
Drummer to drummer, "Yeah, but can you do La Villa Strangiato?" ;-)

I wish I could offer some constructive criticism to help you with your growth as a drummer, but I lack the drum knowledge to be able to accomplish that.
The only thing I can say is keep improving your skills and don't ever let anyone take the fun out of playing drums.
We are left in awe of your talent and skill, but it is your joy and happiness that keeps us coming back.

Dear Nandy, it is truly a joy to continue to see your evolution as a drummer, as a musician and to see your talents expand. I've noticed a dramatic improvement in your playing, beat error is next to nil and you can see, hear and feel the fun you are having despite as you say playing complex and very difficult sets. I can see more evolution with you being able to follow all the drumming greats and I look forward to that moment where we can hear what the Nandy style of drumming is going to be like. I believe that you are the next Meytal Cohen, Sheila E., Cindy Blackman, Meg White, Hannah Whelton, Anika Nilles, etc... I look forward to your metamorphosis into a musical legend!

Kid’s showmanship is always entertaining and over the top from school plays to drumming. I always wonder why people are amazed by talented kids. Kids brains are so porous. It’s our adult brains that have difficulty absorbing and learning. Envious. So awesome Nandi!

Thank you so much for sharing what you do, its so wonderful, positive and life affirming to see someone truly loving what they do. I suffer from severe depression and you never fail to put a smile on my face.
