Wow, can't even imagine we are at 240hz already. In 10 years we'll be at 1000hz+. Just think about how far we've come in home computer monitor technology from back the 1980s with monochrome LCDs. I like the size and curvature of this 5K monitor. I trust Philips brand. I think this monitor is best for racing games because you get fully immersed in the action. QD OLED

QD Oled, I have been looking at at the best 49" monitor for productivity and and gaming although I am not a massive gamer, my choice was between this Philips monitor and the 49" MSI Oled although the MSI refresh rate was only 144hz, after watching your video, I have now made up my mind and the Philips comes out on top for the best value for money and highest refresh rate thank you for your input.
QD OLED this was an amazing video I was actually looking at getting the g9 Oled but I saw this. I really want to say thank you for posting this video it definitely made me want to go with this monitor instead you did a great job presenting everything.
QD OLED! Maaan, this looks perfect. I had the G9, but the lack of USB-C and ability to get a 27" or 24" with blackbars made it a hassle to play competitive FPS-games. With 240hz this is such a bang-4-buck option. Thanks!
QD OLED What monitor do you have on your rig in the background at 5:46? The curve looks like a 1000R, which is what I was looking for originally, but I have to say the Phillips ticks a lot of boxes. Which one do you prefer for sim racing?
That monitor is the LG 45GR95QE I reviewed it a while back th-cam.com/video/db0UB9zi0JE/w-d-xo.html It's a great monitor and it's taller than the Philips. I actually preferred it on the rig as the additional height and heavy curve is great when racing but the ppi is low so not great if you're working on it using word etc. But the Philips is a better all round monitor.
@@GeekStreet It's every bit as good as billed. The speed and motion clarity are incredible and the image quality is top notch.. One of the things I was most worried about was brightness, but it's plenty bright enough for my dimly-lit room. It is truly an end-game monitor.
I have a nice Huawei 28” 4K monitor for now for general and work use, been thinking of an OLED upgrade though. Didn’t realise Phillips made them, may be worth a look. And LG.
The monitor is cool and all, but I just wanted to point out that it's misleading to call this a 5K monitor. The total resolution is smaller than 4K, so I really don't know where you pulled that spec from. There are true 5K productivity-focused monitors on the market, but this is clearly not one of them.
