    Why would you be worried about the bag degrading from UV light if it's inside your backpack? Light doesn't penetrate most outdoor fabrics. Although these bags are cheap enough that it's not such a bad thing to replace them periodically.

    There’s a better way.. it’s not a poncho without a hood. The corner is the hood. Cut an off center rectangle out the bottom of the bag.
    Is step #1 . Cut the short side and go down the edge. You’ll have a hood and draw strings. There’s more but that’s the start.

      Turn the bag 90 degrees, head hole is a moon shape under one corner. Arm holes are on flat side of bag with half moon shoulder covers. See other videos.

    Did you really need to show how to cut holes on the bag. Anyone needing that lesson is not a good candidate for survival.

      Why not cut the bag before and fold it up so it is ready when you need it.
