  • I visit Subotica in Serbia for the first time, and I'm delighted to discover a city that is very much a hidden gem, full of Art nouveau architectural treats.

I love your informative videos mr. Tall about Slavic countries, culture, food, women and lifestyle among others. Your calm way and humorous way of talking. Not disrespectful like that horrible and rude Johnny FD

I really enjoy Mr. Tall's videos and style of presentation. I used to like Bald, but his videos devolved into his being disrespectful of the people and places he was visiting. It's sad actually. And Johnny FD is just awful. He is ignorant and very rude. I'll stick with Mr. Tall, thanks!

    Hey Tall,
It's nice to see another video from you. Indeed, this is a beautiful place. I love the fact that it's bright, sunny out there and clear skies sounds like fresh air. I love your attire in this video...the black and warm jacket with some cool shades on....007 Bond in the city look!!!! The sound of the church bell felt nice to my ears with the garden view but, sadly no one wants to fix those cracks in the wall it seems. The pizza looked delicious....and potatoes are always yummie 🥰🙃... I love the simplicity you carry and that lost wild kid in you ...the way you put your pout all in at the water fountain. Avoid❗ entering abandoned places on a serious note, and specially the stinky ones!!!! The place where you tried reading the notice board through the gate looked more like a chapel then a church. I remember watching a video of Mr. Wicker's....damn!!!you are good at it!!! The park is beautiful ....lmfao🤣🤣🤣 about the public toilet which could be turned into a Trendy craft beer pub 🤭 .... Lovely sense of humour. I hope you travel all across the globe and I can watch these beautiful places with you in those videos....❤️ Enjoy the rest of your day😊 stay blessed, stay safe. 🌼God bless you 🌼

Lake Palic is not too far. The owner of Apartment Pia near town hall has a sailboat on the lake. There’s lots of wedding pictures taken in Subotica town hall so there’s a hair salon next to apartment Pia. It’s a bit contaminated with elevated levels of phosphorus and green algae so not suitable for swimming. Langos is deep fried dough which I had at Miskolc bus station waiting for Flix bus to Poprad, Slovakia.

I think one night in Subotica is enough. Novi Sad is a bigger city with more going on, you have the exit festival there starting on the 10th of July. There's also Fruska Gora national park nearby. Novi Sad is more chilled out than Belgrade.

    Welcome home! :)
Yeah, Subotica is such a beautiful city. When it was founded, it was merely a swamp land. Serbs cultivated it and Hungarians brough in architecture and quite a deal of culture. Now, it's half/half, and I think it's doing wel. Lots of digital nomads are there, especially in IT. with few hubs. Hungary supports Hungarians in Serbia, so it works for business. Most of local people go to and from to nearby Szeged quite often. Who needs EU anyway!? :) Btw, you missed the Palic lake. Used to be model for what is now Balaton, but screwed up over the years of transitions...
Migrants are huge problem lately in Subotica, because Hungary erected fence to stop them crossing and put guards and dogs along the border. So, migrants are stuck there crossing from Serbia into EU/Hungary. They often reside in nearby forests and and around train station. There is all kind of crap - from nobody daring to go to their country houses (because they would destroy it for firewood and shit on floors (and yes, there is a toilet)), because they move in groups and are armed and because Kurds hate Pakistanis who hate Afghans and Moroccans, they stab and shoot each other, while indefinitely trying to get into EU. Deported back and trying again. Indeed, from a picturesque town, one of nicest in Serbia, that I went to so many times just to chill, it also became a hub for migrants.

I am happy for you. Subotica is very beautiful city like the most in Vojvodina region. The rest of Serbia is catastrophic. The real situation in my country is not good and I would honestly not recommend anyone to live in Serbia. Poverty, unemployment and corruption is widespread, average salary is 400 euros. The infrastructure is bad, the architecture is socialist and dilapidated, and there is garbage everywhere in nature. People are quite dark, frustrating and nervous. Every year, 50,000 people leave this country because of bad life, chaos, depressive atmosphere and poverty.
