You have to visit Serbian landscapes which Serbia has a lot.Serbia isn't only the cities. The true soul of the Serbian people is reflected in its people in the villages. The rural population is what Serbia is shaped by. We have beautiful breathtaking landscapes. You have to visit Tara, if possible you can also go rafting on Tara, although it is great anyway. I visited Subotica in April 2018 - it was definitely very sleepy even before the world collapsed and I didn't find any good Serbian restaurants, it was definitely the worst food I had in Serbia that trip (but still pretty good). I am going back in 2 weeks and checking out your videos for recommendations, thanks man!
Interesting conclusion, I remember going to Subotica and having some of the best food and products quality overall I ever had in Europe. But also its super obvious coz Serbia has some of the highest quality products in Europe, we all know that EU has the crappiest product quality. No wonder, why Emirates and Soudi Arabia, only buys their products from the balkans and completely ignores the EU. If I was to think really what was the worst food I ever had + products quality I had in Europe. it would be definitely Czechia. Czech's lel the official champions of having the unhealthiest food in the world actually. Anyway, really strange that you found Subotica sleepy? Are you sure you didn't go to Subotica on same Serbian slava or any of those days, coz Serbs do love staying in home when they have slava's and they do their family gatherings.
Chris.. pljeskavica is more like "pljeskavitsa", not like "pljeskavika". In serbian language main rule is one voice one letter... "c" is always like "ts" voice... without exception... Try not to use Latin and English rules for spelling and reading :)
The town and Lake Palić are certainly much more beautiful in summer than in winter. There are a lot more people, they walk around, the atmosphere is better. As for English a lot of people know it well enough for basic communication. Older people, over 50, generally don't know it at all. The epidemic ruined the nightlife. A bunch of quality cafes that used to work until the early morning hours, are not working at the moment. Too bad for you, you missed a great time!
