3rd video asking ccf to do a video on their own cars
Do dis
Also I've been waiting for a jeep video. Tj hopefully
Yess
Just embarrassed that they can’t fit a fridge in the back of their rides tbh
Considering the shit they talk, showing their own cars would be literal suicide hahahahah
I get more displacement by pissing people off.
I'm from Tacoma, WA and you actually nailed Issaquah. I'm laughing my ass off as you assume you fucked it up. 😂
Tbh, issaquah isn't even close to the worst, with places like hoquiam and sequim. Also, waddup fellow Tacoma bro.
Another Tacoma Homie here!
I'm guessing he means more cfm, as in more air into the engine.
I think he’s saying 240 owners like the bigger L28 block and just misspoke
@@CollectorCarFeedBut by the carburetor and intake swap alone. Wouldn't he be meaning the displacement of the amount of air entering the engine? Sorry I'm feeling a good buzz right now blame Netgear. He makes me seize cuz he's a WEEB so I can't drive.
@@CollectorCarFeedah double so pretty much swap the entire engine out. Turn it to a 280z lol.
@@CollectorCarFeed That makes sense, too, I'd say both are correct in our guesses.
@@CollectorCarFeedthat's exactly what happened and you know it
I had a 280z years ago as a borderline “soon” car. As a broke college kid I just didn’t have the resources to fix the body. Sold it to someone who wanted to make it into a drift car. I’m sure it snapped in half at a street takeover one day.
Just drunk drove. What a lit experience. I hate the government so much for trying to take it from us
Goofy fella
Locked in
That'll show them
Don't let some made up organization take away your dreams
This is a certified Collector Car Feed moment.
I love the og Top Gear style intro, really great.
when he was talking about putting the 240z carbs on a 280z he ment that it mechanically increases the amount of air going in and there for “raises” the displacement of the car. turbos do the same thing they shove more air into say a 1.8L 4cyl engine and temporarily make it into say a 2.2L engine in terms of the air pressure
I had a Datsun l series completely rebuilt for $1,400. bored .020" Pistons, rings, cam, valve springs, valves, valve seats, all bearings, all seals, all gaskets, timing chain and gear and tensioner... The rods and crank were still good, block was good. I've never heard of a Datsun cracking a cylinder wall, thats very rare. Man 12 grand? You could have built a 300hp stroker with triple carbs for that.
Believe me. I know. But it was full rebuild. New everything. Painted engine bay and. ABunch of other stuff
12kusd for a drive in and drive away engine bay resto+engine build is more than reasonable, not everyone works on their own stuff. Your right about the cracking cylinder wall though, I've not heard of that ever happening on an L series engine.
@@armaholic99 it was wild. But I have the photos to prove it,
1400$ when though? tbh it sounds like you're talking about pre-covid at best and early 2010's or mid 2000's with that pricing.
also 12 grand is still cheaper than a new car, or getting average/mediocre work can be more expensive in the long run if they make a mistake and the work is out of warranty.
The first Z in that video was mine and it had 0 rust in the engine bay. Battery tray was fine and no bondo as well. Car was solid lol
That first Z looks really awesome, especially from the rear
It was mine thanks
i'm pretty sure he meant "more air/fuel" gets displaced. even if the block still has the same "displacement". i was confused at first too.
I love my crusty z car, it's never going up on marketplace tho. It's also not an S30 or S130 lol
The z31 is a great car never gets the love it deserves i owned a 88 digital dash one of my favorite cars
I have an 86 300zx with zero rust in nearly perfect condition. Im currently taking the vg30 na out and putting an rb25det into it.
I ironically live in issaquah and you said it right. No worries. 😂
waiting for feed to try snoqualmie
@@hawkeredmon i feel like Puyallup would fuck them up the most.
@@KandiStomper i wanna say ive seen them try to pronounce it before lol i hope they come across it
@@hawkeredmon i am fighting the urge to rewatch every episode, just to make sure. I need to hear this.
@@KandiStomper i wanna say they said it like "pooh-yal-up"
Unfrosted strawberry pop tarts (toasted) with a lil butter on them is a very good 420 snack
You sound like the kinda guy who doesn't use sauce in his taco bell. Lame
@@RanNguyenParked 😂😂
@@RanNguyenParked I bet you dont even eat Kolaches. Scrub
I mix mtn dew with my vodka, sounds crazy I know
@@RanNguyenParked Butter is pushing it but toasted regular strawberry poptarts are so damn good without the extra frosting. It's got that pie crust toasty flavor that is just better than pure sugar. Agree on people who don't sauce up their taco bell though.
Man those old 240Z are cool
Bro got fuqqqed on his z😅
Brother. The rebuild was one in 4 days
Yeah 4 days and a 10k bonus
You should have included the variations of Netgear’s name that were said in this stream. 😤

Been binging CCF for hours and just saw this got put out… hell yeah
I like when you guys do guests. I'll have to send you pics of my 1990 2dr XJ (Cherokee) I've been restoring for watchers rides
i’ve gotta ask, netgear why are fender mirrors cringe?
If it came with them that's fine, modifying for fender mirrors is cringe, especially when done on cars that never had them in the first place
@@carfriendsimulator9981This
They just are
Net got butthurt calling it an S chassis lol
You know I was looking for this video before this came out hoping yall were going over the 280z's
Timmy Chan up in this Hoe H-Town baby!
Could you do an episode on sandrails / dune buggies? Lot of cool stuff out there!
Just in time for Tokyo Vice Season 2
A couple months ago, my little cousin (fresh out of HS) was given a silver 260Z that was parked in my neighbor's backyard in a shed for 25+ years in exchange for fixing her fence (not a euphemism, ACTUALLY just fixed a picket fence). Him and his dad plan to restore it but it honestly doesn't seem to need THAT much in the context of its age. I'll also try to advise him on how to carry the project out (telling him NOT to 2JZ swap it) even though I'm not much of a Nissan/Datsun guy myself, I respect them but I'm more into late 90's/early 2000's Toyotas and Lexus's.
That was Hyde from "That 70's Show"
Danny Masterson for the win...
I love how you pronounced the city right, and then went off about how you did it wrong 🤣🤣🤣
I love y’all content 😂
This my favorite JDM car, except maybe first-gen NSX
This guy is a zautist
Old SAE hp figures and new SAE hp figures can't be compared across the board between all makes. Making a blanket statement that pre-1972 cars don't have their rated hp is simply a fallacy. The very real hp drop in smog era American cars perpetuated the myth. A L24 has every single one of those 150hp. 426 Hemis were rated at 425hp, its more like 490hp. Also the 396 makes 50 hp more than claimed. Carbureted, points ignition cars are easy to tune and easy to make produce more power than what they were rated at stock.
What website you using to find a car to sell?
bro i wanted to see the the zinc plated top end!
finally the alan episode
the 240z is my fav car, i saved up money to buy one and now where i have the money it doubled in my country... even if id be able to buy one here, parts are impossible to get here in germany.
7:30 LOL it’s PUCHII
The downdraft carb on that white 280 prob makes it run really fat
"that's a nice element"
BROTHER bros is always great
i think alan was talking about compression, not displacement
I hope I get to be the guest on the DaimlerChrysler-era Mercedes special
"NoT aN S-cHaSis" Mr -Regular- Netgear
It's not. Mr. Furgular would be the one to argue that it's an S-Chassis. It's a Z-car.
You said Issaquah right just with so much accent lmao. My dad a 81 280z turbo. He sold it in 99 for 500 to pay rent
S30 roll call!
8:56 nah you said it right, if not with a little flair
Some of these were beat!
You should totally do a video on the Daewoo Leganza! Rep'in' the LEGZ!!
Also, F* Atlas.
⁉️⁉️ ISSAQUAH MENTIONED ‼️‼️ WTF IS A PERSON THAT DOESNT TALK ABOUT HIKING🔥🔥🔥
I increased the displacement on my ea888 by adding a hot air intake
Its pretty satisfying to know im not the only one who would say “displacement?! What the hell?!”
this is the cross i must bare huh
he ment that the 280z has more displacement and people will swap the the L24 from the 240 in favor of the L28 from a 280z and put a carb in it
9:31 “I heard it fits a fridge”
Constantly looking for a 240/260z, regret not buying one I looked at last year
Just get a 180 and take the bumpers off. You just want carbs huh?
Honestly seems like most of these older Z's will need enough TLC to where they might as well just be considered rolling chassis'
ya, but they make new metal for em
If I put 350 carbs on my 305 do I get an LS
the fuckin' intro
4 days to build that car, wow. God bless meth.
Me and 3 others working nonstop
I love Zs, I just wish they didn’t turn into a Flinstones’ car. Stupid floorboard rust.
I’m trying to figure out how a stock engine rebuild and engine bay paint is 12k. A refurbed block, head, flat tops, crank, performance cam and triple carbs still doesn’t total 12k
the internals of the head were literally zinc coated.
labor from a shop
When ur dumb u'll pay anything....it's Nissan it could be made out of tungsten and it would still break some how
Tonight...
Feed uses the soundpad
Netgear loads a fridge
And Puchii literally dies
I just bought a rusted out 280z off marketplace
I know about Timmy Chan's lol.
Love a Datsun. Damn! 😂👍Such a sexy car!
"That is extremely common because you can go from 130 horsepower to about 200. Better compression, a little bit more displacement"
When asked about the autonomous bore adjusting carburetor he responds with this
" No no no so the 240 is a 2.4L the 280 is a 2.8L if you put carbs on a 280 you get more displacement than if you had the stock carbs on a 240"
So the 2.8L block is bigger than a 2.4L block but only if the 280 has a carb and 240 doesn't. Is that what this dude really believes, because he worded that very specifically, to unlock the phantom 0.4L you need a carb.
Even though the engine is larger the universe will simply hide the 280's larger displacement essentially turning a 280 into a 240. But if you buy a carb and pray they universe might restore the 280z engine to manufacturer spec.
As he said, he was saying it wrong and couldn't find the right words to describe what he meant. What I think he meant was more fuel/air mix. He's saying you have more fuel/air throughput if you carburate a 280 than if you have a stock carbureted 240 or a stock injected 280.
@@watsgoinonhere1 that's what I thought too, but the top comment is about cfm and ccf said that isn't what he meant so idk
Not my cup of tea but hey if there's people out there that like these cars whatever floats your boat I guess
Is this a reupload???
These sellers have no idea what it takes to get these cars back into good condition
Rust is top of the line.
why the reupload?
Zinc plated valve train? Why
Why not? (I don't know it was what they had
does it offer any benefits to performance or longevity? @@Alan.4317

he said you get more displacement out of a 2.8L than a 2.4L whats the confusion??
That's not what he said lmao
@@483SGT He said, literally, "if you put carbs on a 280, you get more displacement than if you had the stock carbs on a 240"
@@treepardLarger carburetor doesn't change the displacement of the engine lol, he just misspoke
@treepard is right, he just meant 2.8L is bigger than the 240 engine, he misspoke when he implied switching to carbs changes displacement

I drive a crusty Z car lol
I have crusty underwear
Why crusty Z cars of facebook marketplace when you can crusty Z car of your garage!

$12k for 3" crack in the block? Isn't that what JB Weld is for?
Not the block. Cylinder wall.
@@Alan.4317 same difference. JB Weld everything it'll be all good.
@2gwailo I had to make a 500 mile trip that weekend. Didn't want to risk it.
@@Alan.4317 sorry, was being a bit facetious/joking with the JB Weld can fix anything. Although I do suppose I know people who actually think that so I can see where it doesn't translate well.
btw, great build. A datsun 240/280 is pretty high on my list to track down at some point, but need to travel out of the rusty north east to get one.
Alan man I love your feedback and commentary on this video but how you gonna spend 12K on an car and still got that xbox 360 microphone, if i wasn't a broke ass rn i'd send you a new headset cause DAMN man you're taking me back to 09'
astro A50 baby, i dont ever listen to my voice, so i dont know what i sound like, my bad G
@@Alan.4317ah i see ur good , makes sense cause wireless gaming headsets usually have some sort of compromise where you give up a lot of microphone/recording quality for the convenience factor...I myself made this decision too and maybe people have the same to say bout me LOL , I'm guessing CCF guys have a more conventional setup which is why they sound so much different but no h8 just a half serious/half joking comment and cheers for being a good sport
man im gonna say it. frick alan
