    Made me laugh unexpectedly with your sudden 'enter stage right' leap. 😂

      It's another great castle esc/motor combo, I've got a second one in my VP Phoenix, it's a 1900kv though, I'll have a running video of that truck shortly with that kv combo soon

    Oh....look at that torque !!! And your rig was at almost full speed.... amazing !!!!
    - Now I want this combo !!
    - Have a good one !! 😁 Crawl-on !!!

  • @paulschryer9571
    @paulschryer9571 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The "crawl-control" looks great !!! 😯
    And the top speed, from my perspective, seems perfect !!!! 👍😁
    Also the tone of blue on the motor is fabulous !! Such a warming color tone !! And the brushless motor-can is short, but the leads are long like they should be..... out of the box ! 🙂 - Great stuff from one of the best.... Castle Creations !!!! 😍 Yay !!
    - Now (IF) I can just get my girl to like the price, I will be good to go !!😆😉🤘🇺🇲 - (AND IT IS QUIET) 😯 $120 IS A DECENT PRICE, AS LONG AS THIS COMBO LIVES UP TO IT'S NAME !! 🙏😀🍻

    - This motor & esc combo, reminds me of a Chevy small-block engine, slightly built, that "raps" (quick) !!!!
    ....RPMS GO UP (REAL) QUICK !! 😜
    - What a package !! Oh my....😈....😁

    Damn, that’s some good torque. How good are these systems when it comes to getting wet?

      I have not submarined it yet but according to castle it's as waterproof as their other systems, aka mamba x and sw4

    Nice motor esc:) was wondering how the copperheads were working out. Throw some washers on your pinions to clear up the clicking from the axles.

    • @rc-ingaroundamerica8792
      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far it been doing great in the rig, i regear it from the stock 14 tooth to an 11 tooth pinion, replaced the stock rear axle gearset an that solved my gear clicking noise, ill look into shiming the gearsets to see if that will fix an future gear issues, tjanks for the idea

    • @royrodgers3296
      @royrodgers3296 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rc-ingaroundamerica8792 yeah man get in that axle and shim it proper. They come so sloppy, even the kits don’t proving for shims though. Harbor Freight, nut and bolt hardware set, some small washers(I use two in the rear) and those new gear sets will never give you anymore problems. So you like the copperhead esc? I think that’s what I’m going with for the truck I’m working on. Was going to go with the mamba x but I think it’s overkill. If the copperhead preforms well I’d rather go with that

      @@royrodgers3296 its another great esc from castle, the only thing i wish it had was the aux wire the X has, but for a brushless crawler system, i have no complaints about it

    I went with the 1412-3200kv combo for my trx4. works awesome

      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The local hobby shop here had a 3300kv, but I'm not trying to race my 10iii, lol, but it does sound like a fast fun truck with that kv combo

      Oh, sweet.... I did not know Castle had a 3,000Kv version !! 😲 That would probably be the motor rating I would choose ! Wheel speed & power !! Oh ya.... sah-weetness !!! 😉
      - Thanx for the install & review !! 👍

    i hooked it all up and its going in reverse.. i tried changing 2 wires over and all that did was make a griding sound when i hit the throttle. i used traxxas link on my phone to reverse the rotation but its reverse speed in forward? argh .. i cant figure this out. any advise>? cheers

    • @rc-ingaroundamerica8792
      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm guessing that your system is in a trx4, so that takes out the improper gear mesh, if you have a Castle link adapter, then I would reset the 2 wires you swapped, an reprogram the Copperhead10 esc for reverse rotation, if you dont have one them most local hobby shops normally do an shouldn't cost much if anything to reprogram the esc so it runs right for you, let me know if that works, also if you get the esc reprogrammed, then be sure to rest the traxxas link for proper rotation as well

    Hey there. What did you use for pinion

    • @rc-ingaroundamerica8792
      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used the stock kit pinion which I believe is a 14/15t when I did my review of the system, but have since dropped it down to a 11t, an did a VP 33/8 ring an pinion swap in the rear axle, it got rid of my bad clicking of my rear axle, still punchy on a 4s lol

    Put this in my axial bomber on stock gearing 3s lipo it's perfect. Wouldn't want more or less kV.

    What's the clicking noise?

    • @rc-ingaroundamerica8792
      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a very common problem with the 10 3s, the gear sets in the transmission are loose on the gear shafts so they click from being loose, but the power from this new esc/motor combo have chipped the axle gears sets as well

    It seems a little fast when crawling.

    • @rc-ingaroundamerica8792
      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its definitely is faster then most people like to drive on all stock gearing, I've since pinion swapped down to an 11 tooth an swapped to the VP 33/8 under drive gearset in the rear axle, made it way more controllable for crawling

    • @sheldonisnumberone
      @sheldonisnumberone 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What Kv would you recommend for crawling?

    • @rc-ingaroundamerica8792
      @rc-ingaroundamerica8792  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sheldonisnumberone honestly it depends on your driving style, for me I'm more of a higher kg person for wheelspeed, but or most people, 23-2700kv, also depends on what cell battery you prefer to run, I run 3/4s in most of my rigs
