- So ended up installing the new copperhead10 limited edition to my rustler 4x4. Also did a short run and man this system is strong and fast, won’t be the last one I buy!! 😁 please like and subscribe and support our channel. THANK U FOR WATCHING

Di-electric grease works best for diffs it comes as full silicone and doesn’t break down
What size motor is it your using in this set up
If you do change them get the hot racing axles I haven’t broken one yet and they take a beating
Update. Installed the MIP drive shafts , put some proline power shocks , and a 19t pinion with a steel spur gear and now it is great bro. But I think I need a bec cuz my servo is glitching out now. But my rustler is soo fast now. Happy with the copperhead for sure
Wow! Lots of upgrades! I need to order a metal spur next. Yea if you have an aftermarket servo that demands alot of juice, you will need one.
@@rcbroslz3553 I figured that. Have the fan from the castle esc, a dual fan on the motor, and the new servo drawing a lot of juice
What spur did you use? HR or RR or something else? Im thinking of going that route
@@calebworland967 I got a hot racing 58t but It wouldn’t fit. Now I’m using a RR50t

If you pack the diffs with a car bearing grease the quite down a lot . I couldn’t stand the noise coming out of them but you have to PACK IT FULL and we’re the drive shaft gos in the front . You got take off the adaptor and cut up a body washer and put it behind it because the gear mess is wrong you wanna pull back towards the drive shaft

I have another question, how did the driveshafts hold up on 4s with your rustler 4x4? i have the same shafts on my slash 4x4 and i'm curious if i should upgrade them again.
I have had no issues with the drivshafts so far. But then again these are updated stronger driveshafts

If you are talking about the motor plate, you only need the original. It will fit perfect
Just installed this on my rustler.... it’s ok. But once I put some foam tires on it still not as fast as I want. Think I’m gonna put this copperhead on my 4 Tec instead and get something bigger and faster for the rusty.
What pinion did you use? Where the temps too high?
@@rcbroslz3553 I just got the stock pinion still. The one it came with for the speed pinion was a 35t! Which is crazy I gotta get a smaller one but the temps were fine. Not even hot after some speed runs
Ok doesnt sound too bad, yea if you want very high speed like 100 then yea maybe a 1/8 system would be better

@@rcbroslz3553 Great, would you recommend upgrading from a Hobbywing Max 10 SCT with 3200KV 3660SL Motor combo to this copperhead limited edition setup? and what were you're temps like on the rustler 4x4?
@@cjchannel12RC i mean if you can I would upgrade to the copperhead, you have the same kv but can run up to 3s and with this copperhead you can run up to 4s. You will notice a difference. My esc temp was at about 120 and my motor temps got up to 150.

I just pick this kit up did you have a problem with the screws that hold the motor in place?
No, what issue did you have
@@rcbroslz3553 my motor came with button head screws and stock screws are flat so the motor isn’t fitting with the button head screws and the flat screws aren’t big enough to use

Did you do any speed runs on this system?? If so what were the speeds???

Sorry for late responce but i did get to do a speed run today. Got 50mph on only a 13t pinion. Temp was at 130 playing around with it plus speed run. Easily run bigger pinion no problem

I used the 13t pinion

No that was on 4s lipo

No wouldnt be recommended, system can handle 6.5lbs and the maxx is 9.7lbs
