    So much more complete! I’ve been watching several other videos from the nesrepresso’s page and they don’t say to start first the machine but to press directly on both buttons simultaneously! That would start an large coffee almost tight away. As you just said, I have followed your direction and I have pressed first the large cup then both bor like 3 seconds( until both lights started blinking) and after the large cup button again and voila - the descaling started! Thanks a lot and followed and looking forward to see your other videos!
    What’s best - chilly con caffe or caffe con chilly? 😅( joke, when I am super tired I add chilly to my steamy coffee)

    really good video thank you! Easy to follow and good to be able to copy what you’re doing in real time. I poured the used descaler liquid into my kettle after using it in the nespresso machine..it did a nice job of cleaning that too!

    Is scaling a cause for the capsule tray filling with water after each coffee? That is my concern, there is quite a bit of water in the small tray after each run.

    Thanks for the video. I bought the official Nespresso branded descaling agent just to be sure it did the job. Shocked to find there were no instructions on how to use contained in the box. There was instructions put it was just precautions & warnings. They give a link to their website however following the link takes you to their homepage & not to anything in regards to de-scaling
    The video was very useful thanks although I didn't realise it doesn't stop unless you press the button. I also didn't realise it stays in de-scale mode until I had wasted a pod once cleaned. Perhaps the next time you de-scale you could shoot an updated video with these points included
    Still gets thumbs up from me regardless thanks.

    Does the machine switch itself off once the water reservoir is empty or do you press a button to stop it? It wasn’t clear from the video

    • @BaileyBlurbs
      @BaileyBlurbs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It stops running but it’s still in descaling mode, so you’ll have to hold the buttons down for 3 seconds to get it back to normal mode.

    I like how you say to descale once a year. I know Nespresso said on my Vertuo machine to descale every 3 months or after 300 brews and I think that's too often. I wonder how often do you do the rinsing that you are supposed to do before you use the Nespresso Vertuo Plus the first time to brew coffee. I am probably going to do once a month because it was time consuming and used up a lot of water. I know this video didn't show the Vertuo Plus, but still was informative.

    When I put it in the DESCALING . After that I press LUNGO . Not all the water in the tank came out

    • @StephenSchwarz2391
      @StephenSchwarz2391 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I had the same problem. The issue was that I didn’t really have it in Descaling Mode. After a lot of experimenting I think I’ve got it now. First, make sure the Citiz is on first by briefly pressing either the Lungo or Espresso buttons. Then hold down both buttons for around five seconds not the three seconds the instructions say. If you have done it right both buttons should be blinking very rapidly, not the slow blinking you get when the unit is warming up. Then you then briefly press the Lungo button and, if you got the timing right, the Citiz will run continuously until the reservoir is empty. It took me three or four tries to get it right so don’t give up.

    I may have to phone Nespresso here in Australia as the water doesn't keep running thru the machine as with your video, cuts out at the 1 cup mode, not sure what I'm doing wrong.
