Very helpful video. Apparently my high pressure fuel pump is shot (2018 3500 L5P)... metal shavings in the filter and rails (removed pressure sensor). Thinking of replacing the fuel system myself. Can this job be done without lifting the cab? Thanks for your help
I bought a new 2020 3500 drw dmax that now has about 25k miles. Seems like it recently has a miss at idle once warm. Checked the injector balance rates and sure enough inj. 6 shows +1.6 and inj. 8 shows -2.9 and as those numbers move around in favor of allowable balance rates the miss at idle in gear goes away. Under foot break load it goes away, in neutral miss goes away. Pretty sad its got a problem with such little mileage. I've replaced fuel filters with Baldwin filters long before idiot light say its due. I like the idea every 2nd oil change. And run 15/40 Rotella synthetic and change every 3k

I watched this to see what is involved, I don't mess with fuel injection much. I have a 2018, 3rd time an injector had a problem, P0204. It is still covered under powertrain warranty, but it seems like it will keep happening. I have 60,000 miles on it but only one more year of warranty. Last time the guy was saying it is the fuel. I saw how dirty your injectors are, but isn't that mostly from being in the combustion chamber? I have four other diesels and I haven't had any injector issues
can you do a video breaking down (every xx miles you should change this, xxx miles change that, and so forth)? Looking to buy a 22 At4 2500 and im coming from a gas vehicle so im new to the whole diesel game

Hey Denny, A bit off topic. Just picked up my 2021 GMC 2500 Denali. Same truck as you. I was pumped to get this truck. After 1800 miles , the steering feels like Shit very sloppy. Even a clapping leveling over bumps. Just wanted to get so info from a real owner. Is this normal for these trucks?
Yes mine has been in shop 6 times give up on steering
My 2018 has massive steering wheel play , they had to replace my steering wheel box

You can do 7 through wheel wheel and remove that black cover

If you don’t know what year L5P trucks are, you shouldn’t be looking up how to change injectors on one
