I still don’t have as much symptoms yet:) I’ve had heavy bleeding this week which was really scary for me, I was rushed to the hospital and they told me the babies are fine. But was definitely scary I’m still spotting.
Yay congrats I’m so happy for you!! I had heavy bleeding too I was so worried but apparently it was a blood vessel that burst in my belly from the placentas attaching and re attaching to make room for each other. I spotted for the whole first trimester after that! Praying for you and your sweet twins and hoping you have an easy and safe pregnancy from here on out!!
Omg, I can relate so much. I'm now almost 7 weeks ivf pregnant with twins and have been having the same ugly nausea. I can't bear entering my kitchen now. I don't want meat, chicken, fish (God forbid), and many other things I used to love. My eating list is pretty short and simple now. It's fresh tomatoes, Greek salad without olives, fruit, cottage cheese and kefir (I'm obsessed with sour food now even more than ever). Maybe I could eat pasta. But just like you're saying, some things I can eat, but not cook 😆 And coffee. Omg. I used to love the smell and taste of coffee. I was so anxious about not being able to drink it (bcs of the coffeine) that I even bought decaf. Luckily, I don't fancy it anymore. My husband leaves a terrible coffee scent trail when he leaves for work. p.s. I successfully replaced coffee with red tea. I think It's got the sudanese rose and raspberry aroma to it. It's sour so tastes good to me. Also, napping two times a day now. Really funny how things are the same with us.
Haha that is hilarious! I think our bodies know what is safe for baby so it makes us reject it! Maybe.. because I didn’t reject ice cream. 🤣 About halfway through the second trimester I stopped being sick so hopefully you will too! Congrats on those sweet babies!!
@@CarlyPederson Thank you! Actually my sickness is pretty much over. It only lasted for 2-3 weeks. We even got scared about, you know, some symptoms disappearing. I am trying to eat chicken little by little and even fish. But cooking it continues to be an unpleasant experience 😆
Let me just say ur are glowing ✨️ while pregnant 🤰. I was reading ur comment replies that's beautiful that ur Dr respect ur wishes and u didn't have such a harsh pregnancy. I want to do twins as well because I want to have 3 kids before 35. I already have naturally. How much did this journey cost u in ur state? I'm I. California. It's beyond ridiculous
Thank you so much! We ended up paying around $20K I believe - maybe a little less. He recommended us to a pharmacy overseas that charged us like 1/3 of the price for medication that the US did. So maybe that's something to chat with doctors in your area about to get the cost down.
I did IVF and have twins too. I’m almost through my first trimester and had nearly the exact same experiences as you. The injections were really difficult for me too
I had a successful first round ivf and want baby number 2. So far I've had an early miscarriage after a FET. They believe its due to embryo issues. We didn't have the option to test them. Not sure if I should transfer 2 this time. They always try to push only a single one
No not at all. He told us the risks of a twin pregnancy and made sure we were ok with them. He also did all the health check ups on my body and made sure he felt it was safe for me to carry twins if that were going to be the case. We had so many failed pregnancy tests leading up to doing IVF that we really wanted to maximize our odds of at least having one happy healthy baby. He did say that he does not ever transfer more than 2.
Mine was a frozen transfer. I believe they grew for two weeks and then froze them and sent them for genetic testing and then re froze them. Then unfreeze right before the transfer. It’s so insane we can even do all of this!

Aww congrats on starting your ivf round!! Most dr will only do two if it’s safe for Momma. Better to have one happy healthy baby and momma then risk either of you getting hurt! 💕💕 I’ll be thinking of you!

Oh I don’t mind at all but I don’t remember. 🥴 I know o googled all that stuff too and asked other twin Moms haha and I remember it being really high so I suspected it was twins too but the doctors all said they didn’t go by hcg because everyone’s different. The wait is the hardest part! Fingers crossed for you! 💕💕💕
I honestly don’t remember but they were a lot higher than normal which I read online was a sign of twins but my doctor at the time said it’s not always a true sign of twins because other reasons could cause it.
There's a really good clinic in Arizona their ivf is roughly 16,000 including med cost and they're really good. So good that you'd have to contact now for a consult because they're so busy. I'm currently going through them now. New direction fertility gilbert AZ
What was your weight before opting for transfer, never mind.. Is there anything that's connected to weight to be concerned before going for 2 embryo transfer in case it turn out to be twin pregnancy
My doctor didn't mention any weight concerns with me but I'm sure if that's something you are concerned with your doctor can chat with you. Throughout pregnancy I gained at a really normal rate for twins.

Same here am 6week with zero symptoms. I can't feel anything yet. I had my first scan last week and they are both fine

Within the first week I had strong symptoms but our first ultrasound was at the two week mark I believe.

Yes he did give us that option. We didn’t have to do genetic testing but we chose to.

Fertility clinics usually transfer 2 embryos (3 days and 5 days blastocyst) to increase the chances of successful pregnancy.

I don’t think so! But I lost tons and tons of hair postpartum. They are almost two and it’s still growing back. 😭

Cheaper to get it done outside of the USA. Research Barbados fertility centre. Lots of success stories.
