Thank you Tucson Medical Center! I watched these videos with my first baby in 2021 and rewatched them again for baby 2 in 2023. Thank you for providing these.

MillennialExploration as much as I understand this, that isn’t always the case nor is it MY case. I am a single mom with no coach. I don’t live in a place where my friends and family can come assist me. My statement was not made to condemn the class but to inform those who don’t have a coach, partner, friend, family members or others to assist.
Rhonda L actually, yes I do have to do it alone. Having anther helpful nurse there is my only equivalent. Though a nurse is helpful, it’s not the same as having support from a loved one or a mate. I appreciate your concern.
I’ve had 4 kids and my labor’s was me on my back. They were horrible but I didn’t know any different. I’m getting all the info I can for #5 so I don’t go through labour and just wing it again. We had no idea what we were doing and I didn’t know what I wanted. Thank you for this
Another thing I would bring is a portable fan. One thing I have learned being on the labor and delivery floor is mothers get very hot during labor. Fans can help with that.
Are there 3 videos total on this session of birth classes? Anyone about to give birth during this 2020 pandemic?please pray for me , I am 39 weeks pregnant of my first baby on August of 2020 in the Boston area:) thanks
I’m pregnant with baby #9. Some of my labour’s are less than an hour, with doctors/midwives not getting there on time. My contractions would be 3 minutes each. And dialating to 10 cm within 1/2 an hour. Know your body, because not all labours are according to a chart.
@@lotus_flower2000 children are always a blessing. Each one is unique with different personalities and with a God given purpose. I can’t imagine life without any of them. And they are all excited for another one. No, it’s not a hoarding thing. I came from a big family myself and love all my brothers and sisters. (No, we didn’t always get along, haha). I got pregnant with my first when I was 18 with my then boyfriend, married him, 2 more kids, but had to leave due to abuse. Had 2 more with my new boyfriend. Married him, and we’ve been happily married now for the last 10 years, adding another 2 and this one. No, I’m not a saint or Amish. I am a Christian who has made many blunders in life Like everyone, and thankful for the beautiful children I have. I am learning and growing everyday. And yes, I’m still in shock that I’m pregnant again, but I know that I also wouldn’t ever trade this little one for anything in the world. My oldest children are now in their twenties, so it’s not like I have 9 toddlers running around😉
Yes knowing information is wonderful but the reality is we don’t all have bodies who know what a text book labour is. Once my body starts it’ says it’s go time. I’m kinda jealous of those in early labour who can go shopping...? Not me. I love to hear everyone’s experiences though, I love that all labour is different just like each little baby is so different and such a beautiful gift! I’m glad to hear you love having a big family to share life with. And congrats with baby #9 on their way!
My sister never had true labor pains! They felt like mild period cramps, and every time she had one, she would say, “I think I feel something, like a period cramp, but I’m not sure.” (I wanted to scream, “Feel SOMETHING, dang it!” LOL!) However, because they came at a steady pace-roughly every three minutes-she decided to go to the hospital, just to check. She was at 10cm by the time she got there! Her baby was coming shoulder first, and they had to rush her to get a c-section. But even at 10cm, she never had the feeling to push. (I think her uterus was broken.) Her doctor told her that those extremely mild pains are incredibly rare. Heck, I could’ve told her that! I was so freaking miserable with both of mine! I was in labor for four days with my first, and with my second baby, I couldn’t have an epidural, because I had a bad reaction the first time. All natural… ugh!
With my first pregnancy I'm water broke at 37 wks, 5 days. It actually fully broke and I lost my pug about 15 minutes later. I called my midwife and was told that it was most likely false labour and to get some sleep. BAD ADVICE. Not only was I unable to fall asleep but I was in active labour and should have been told to walk around or come to the hospital. I called again 6 or 7 hours later and by this time I was counting time between contractions and they said a midwife would visit me soon, just rest and relax. A few more hours later she arrived, close to 9 hours after my water broke, and she assessed me, I was now only 3 cm dilated and she said it was real labour but very early. 🤨 Still being told to relax and wait, not walk around, it took another 12 hours for them to finally say we should go to the hospital IF THINGS DONT PROGRESS FASTER. In the end it was 36 hours between my water breaking and the actual delivery because I was give. Bad advice while I labour. So if I can offer any kind of advice, if you think your water has broken, if you think you are in labour, even if it does only turn out to be false labour, walk around straight away. Don't sit and don't rest. Trust and listen to your body because if it's true labour the walking will help things progress and if it's false labour there is no harm done anyway. 11 weeks away from baby number 3 and my second labour was only 3 hrs, also a few weeks early, because I followed my own advice based from my previous experience.
My midwife said that if water brakes I should go to the hospital anyways within 6 hours because there is no barrier between baby and the exterior anymore. I hope you had good labour this time :)
Alanna I think once you realize you are in real labor, go to the hospital and if you are too early, walk around there. My labors have become faster each time.
I'd leave as soon as you think you're in labor because you may find it hard to sit in a car later in labor. Also, you should probably travel and try to get to the town where the hospital is located while you can still concentrate on driving/travel.
You want to ideally be in active labour before going but also it depends how far the hospital is to you. Mine is a 15 minute drive so i would leave when there 4-5mins apart. If your like an hour away id call triage as soon as your in labour and you know its labour from timing them for about an hour then explain you will be driving yourself and live an hour away and they will telm you when they want you to start heading in ect.
My second labor was 12 hours versus my third labor which was just over 2 hours long! Barely made it and the third time we were closer to the hospital we were giving birth at.
I was trauma on my first birth due to covid too, my birth classes was cancelled and i dont know what to do, thank you for this classes. May god bless you❤ i might need it now for my upcoming babies.
i like t he idea of all these different ways to be during labor, but she never talks about how your going to be hooked up like crazy. I had a monitor around the baby and an internal monitor. This was all before I had an epidural. And I had to deal with being super hooked up for a good 15 plus hours before i had an epidural. I felt like i could never move. it was awful. I wasn't prepared for how much they limit you. Also i had no real complications other than my water broke before I started labor on its own. So I had to be at the hospital most of the time, about 12 hrs after my water broke. Labor took 38 hrs total from my water breaking. Most of the first 15- 18 hrs was more like pre labor though. So I'd love to see them address how your medical team may have you hooked up, even if you dont want to be, and you may not be having any complications. Also how your nurse rarely will be around. I thought they would be there helping throughout the labor, but they just come and check you every few hours, and don't stay around till its time to push. Not trying to scare anyone, but I expected a totally different experience. Especially since they told us that they have a ration of 1 nurse to 1 patient. I was there for 3 full shifts of nurses and maybe saw each nurse a max of 1 hr during their whole shift. Our childbirth class had been canceled as well, 3 weeks before i was due. And this was before there was any of these online videos. 2017. We had no idea what to do or how to be, and for sure my husband wasnt prepared to be super helpful. So we thought our nurse was defenitly going to give tips and help, that was not our experience. I'll be alot more prepared this time around, but it does look like there will be no classes again because of covid.... Also once i got an IV it really stabilized my contractions. And the epidural really did help and did not make me numb, just took some of the pain away. So much better then what I had heard. I also could feel everything and move my legs no problem. So keep that in mind, you wont feel paralyzed. Hope that takes some fear away for you if your scared.
You can opt out of all of that by saying you prefer intermittent monitoring. With my first, I came in and they took data for 20 minutes while I stood because I didn't want to sit. After that, they listened for the baby's heart rate every so often using a devise on my belly. So, I never had to lay down. I could move as I wanted.
My birth did not go at all according to plan. I developed pre-eclampsia. I went to the hospital for Non-stress test (NTS) which essentially monitors the baby and my blood pressure. After about an hour of testing, my OB said I couldn't leave the hospital. I was admitted and induction began. After nearly 2 full days of induction meds, my cervix wasn't progressing and my blood pressure was not improving. My doctor came in and said we are more than like doing a c-section within the hour. I wasn't happy, but it was what was best for baby and me. I ended up delivering a week early at 39 weeks. I have a healthy baby boy and am on my road to recovery. Thank you for asking! God bless!
@@va4life398 I'm sorry your birth wasn't what you may have planned but I am so glad to hear your baby boy is doing fine. That's really what matters! God bless you too
Had my second on hands and knees simply because of things moving quickly for me, it was 100 times more comfortable and pleasant in my opinion than laying on the back.
I didn't even know my husband was in the room. I didn't care. I'm expecting my second now, and I think it's actually going to be harder for my husband to not be there the whole time.
I've already had a baby and went from 4cm to having baby in 18 minutes haha so I'd probably be up there early when this bub is due just in case 😅. But I love watching these and learning new things I didn't know with my first. I didn't do any birth and labor classes with my first. I did however do the breathing my midwife was great teaching me that even when in active labor
Thanks a lot for this wonderful, informative series. Such a blessing in times like these. Quick request , can you please share the link to download the presentations or notes shown in this class? Thanks again. Really appreciate the service.
Thank you so much...am due in a weeks time in with my Third baby......but I prefer manually induced labor....coz I am already in the waiting game stage.....n my partner is in panic mode as I know it..... watching from Kenya
I know all people are different but for some reason it takes me a long time to get to 4 cm then literally EVERY TIME I get to 4 cm and I deliver with in the hour ! I am glad I was never sent home at 4 cm......Babies would have been born at home
I don't know how long her early labor was (she says not long but doesn't have a time frame) but my grandma was in the hospital for 2 hrs, 1hr, then 30 min no complications. I wish this for any and all birthing women.
I dont get why they even send anyone home period at 4 cm if you're in labor you're in labor ....seems like they'd wanna make sure you're progressing ok
@@mersaphireful I sat at 4cm for 4 weeks before going into active labor. No complications but if I'd been stuck at the hospital, probably would've had unnecessary interventions. So I guess there's still too much variability at that point between laboring patients
Yeah, everyone is different. I can't even describe what I felt as painful. It was just labor ... a lot of work. I had a small tear that felt like a paper cut or bee sting. But, otherwise, it was fine. I'm glad I didn't opt for medication. I was able to feel everything, which helped me bond with my daughter.
It aint that bad seriously. Ive been through it 4 times and i mentally detach myself from whatever is going on down there. That’s what i pay the doctors to oversee and tell me what to do 🤣 it shrinks back closed in no time. Your body does some crazy stuff
I used to mock these classes but i wish my husband had watched them 😂 my husband was so into the first 3 but by the 4th one he was playing on his phone by active labor wondering why i was making a big deal out of the pain “oh baby jesus here comes another one dude give me a break...” (me talking to myself) he’s like what do you need me to do? (Head down in phone tap tap tap) i have babies fast and pretty easy so he wasn’t that concerned. It was fine but i wish he had learned a little more. He did help the nurse move me around after the epidural that was cool good job dad 👍🤣 i push twice and baby is out every time so he always on the cleanup aisle helping with the baby getting scrubbed down. Even those little neck massages wouldve been nice at any point in our marriage. Maybe i need to be more vocal 🤣🤷♀️ Shes talking about mirrors and rubbing babies head. The pushing phase for me lasts literally 5 minutes. They never asked me if i wanted to nothing. I got a baby! Yay🤣
Ashley if my husband ever wonders why I’m making a big deal out of the pain, I’d most likely tie him down that very night and shove a 4 inch wide dildo up his ass to see how he copes with the pain. Thank God he’s not as he is the total opposite and I truly wished all women would have such a compassionate and understanding life partner by their side. I’m due in October and he’s been a Godsend so far, helping (an understatement) with the house chores, groceries, pets and family responsibilities.
I'm so frustrated. Cause I gotta call someone who lives 2 hours away to come and babysit my son while I give birth to the second child. So, I need to know a bit on beforehand, before it gets critical. But I have been having this false labor that starts in the back and radiate to the front. They don't however get more regular, but keeps coming through the night. This happened in week 34 and week 32. I am week 35 now, and it's not happened in a few days. It's super annoying, like a convincing false alarm.
Loved this whole class, thank you for posting. Having a Covid baby is scary, I ended trying to, labor naturally with no success and ended up with a c-section. This class helped prepare us for everything.
I took a private birth class with my husband that lasted four hours and I paid a lot of money for...but this free one was far more helpful! Thanks for posting!

I'm 38 weeks today and finding this super assuring. Hopefully I'll remember everything in the moment of truth
Omg I’m 38 weeks today too! May you have good and safe delivery to you and your little one.
I found 5 videos
Hey! Hope u’ll have ur healthy little cutie soon, don’t forget to write about ur birthing experience pri? I’m due first week September, Manchester UK🙂
Check out Holliday Tyson's videos too. I found them helpful.
@@irmamubarik4916 hey can you tell me how was ur experience I am also in the Uk.
Excellent class ma'am! Thank you! 💖
I’m pregnant with baby #9. Some of my labour’s are less than an hour, with doctors/midwives not getting there on time. My contractions would be 3 minutes each. And dialating to 10 cm within 1/2 an hour. Know your body, because not all labours are according to a chart.
Baby #9?
Im curious about the story behind that..

You don't have to justify yourself. People will always be jealous ☺ I am happy for you. God bless you and your big family
Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing your emotional and spiritual journey!
The guy in the orange shirt missed a belt loop. :-). We loved your classes. Thank you. Due date is in 32 days.
With both of my kids it only took me 3 pushes hopefully it will with the third one on the way.
I was a one push baby so hopefully they are as well
With my first pregnancy I'm water broke at 37 wks, 5 days. 🤨
Still being told to relax and wait, not walk around, it took another 12 hours for them to finally say we should go to the hospital IF THINGS DONT PROGRESS FASTER.
If you were driving an hour to the hospital with your third baby, how far apart contractions would you start driving?
Very helpful. Great teacher❤.
Thanks God blessyou
The men massaging their wives to reinforce they're there...golden
Extremely helpful and informative! Many thanks xxx
i like t he idea of all these different ways to be during labor, but she never talks about how your going to be hooked up like crazy.
That was my experience with induction. There’s no chance to walk or shower... just intervention after intervention and laboring on the back.
I didn't find it effected my movement at all but then again only had the monitor as went into labour natrually and didn't use an epidural x
Wow what a coincidence. I live and am from Tucson. Here I am searching the web and the class was filmed here.
Thankful for this class. Because of corona, I was not able to attend a birthing class. I’m due in 3 weeks.
How was your birth
God bless you too
This is an exceptional video/class!
3 1/2 weeks left thanks for the information
Did you have the baby yet ?
@@marvuitton not yet. I’m so excited and can’t wait to see little face
What happened to delayed cord clamping?
Having your baby on your knees easy to deliver for mom?
Brenda Sollers yup. It’s more natural, from what I’ve heard
Definitely! Being on hands and knees is a great position for mommas to deliver in😊
Had my second on hands and knees simply because of things moving quickly for me, it was 100 times more comfortable and pleasant in my opinion than laying on the back.
Brenda Sollers Your body will move where it is comfortable.
Nikky W did you have an epidural?
Free class 🙌 don't need to waste money lol
Am 38 weeks pregnant my baby don't sleep thank for this video
Oh my god she is so sweet!!
Thank you so much for this wonderful information!!
Imagine while going through these stages of labor your only support can only be contacted on the phone.
Really grateful for these videos. Thank you 💛
Very informative, thank you very much. God bless you.
Thank you for an amazing class! 💗🤰🏻💕🥰
I can feel the tension in the room every time Apollo opens his mouth 😅
Hahaha! He’s a goof
Thank God someone said it, the two dads on the left are kinda lame
right!
Litterally what I was thinking!!
Everytime he opened his mouth even his girl was embarrassed 🤦🏽♀️ hahahaha
This is really valuable information

Здравствуйте Доктор, у меня 21 неделя у малыша не определяют желудок или пищевода, возможно что до родов он появится или придётся оперировать малыша?
Thanks a lot for this wonderful, informative series. Such a blessing in times like these. Quick request , can you please share the link to download the presentations or notes shown in this class? Thanks again. Really appreciate the service.
Thank you so much...am due in a weeks time in with my Third baby......but I prefer manually induced labor....coz I am already in the waiting game stage.....n my partner is in panic mode as I know it..... watching from Kenya
She is finally here
Hi! How was it? Will there be any tips that you can share? First time mom hehe 😁
how can you get the power point presentation from her class?
Otilia Insunza screenshot,
I know all people are different but for some reason it takes me a long time to get to 4 cm then literally EVERY TIME I get to 4 cm and I deliver with in the hour !
Not everyone the same in labor I was in so much pain at 2 semesters for days pains got worst
This is helpful, I am due in October
Thanks so much for uploading this is much helpful then watching a computerized video and no tow way communication
5 1 1 means.every 5 minutes we will have contactions for 1 minutes? And this process will last for continuous 1 hour? Am i understood correct?
I don't know about you, but I did not forget when the placenta came out that bugger hurt worse than the baby.
I know she didn’t just say it goes from a cheerio to a grapefruit....... that sounds terrifying !!! :-( Holy cow!!
It aint that bad seriously. Ive been through it 4 times and i mentally detach myself from whatever is going on down there. That’s what i pay the doctors to oversee and tell me what to do 🤣 it shrinks back closed in no time. Your body does some crazy stuff
Ashley I had my baby 10 weeks ago. Can confirm, is that bad 😂 😭
It is!!! Less terrifying as I'm getting closer to delivery because excitement is taking over ,but preparation makes it not so scary😍 it is temporary
I said ow when she said it 😂😂😂😂
I used to mock these classes but i wish my husband had watched them 😂 my husband was so into the first 3 but by the 4th one he was playing on his phone by active labor wondering why i was making a big deal out of the pain “oh baby jesus here comes another one dude give me a break...” (me talking to myself) he’s like what do you need me to do?
Still valuable in 2022 😊
I'm so frustrated.
Wth did he really just lean on her lower back instead of massaging...omg poor mum and baby 🤦🏽♀️ ouch
Halo kindly asking during what trimester can one start to use the ball please or rather at how many weeks please
Thanks so much for your videos this is my second child and I did not get this information with my first child..
You are so welcome!
Loved this whole class, thank you for posting. Having a Covid baby is scary, I ended trying to, labor naturally with no success and ended up with a c-section. This class helped prepare us for everything.
May I ask why you had to have a csection did complications arise? Congrats on your baby :)!!
You are so welcome! Congrats on your new arrival.
