  • Thanks to your suggestions, my original DIY overland water system gets a MUCH needed upgrade! This one takes only minutes, and provides a reliable source of 5 gallons worth of pressurized water for your overland or camping trips! No longer do you have to spend time pumping water like a peasant.

I got my adapter for my scepter from FirecrateUSA and this setup makes life so much easier than hand pumping or gravity. I went a step further and added a sawyer water filter inline with the upgraded hose that comes with the adapter which required no modifications. I love knowing i can just grab water from the lake or stream without much fear.

I just printed your cap and used a scepter bottle and everything fits perfect! Excellent design on the cap and elbow!

I've got a very similar project going on. I have wavian Scepter can and a similar pump. At home my pump pushed onto the scepter cap and held pretty good. Out camping it kept popping off. So I have been planning to fashion up something and 3D printing crossed my mind. This is perfect. Thanks for posting

one little tip if I may, attach a stainless steel nut to the end of the tube as I found that sometimes a bubble makes it float up.

Great video Kevin! That place looks oddly familiar but a bit smoky I am guessing from the Mosquito fire!

This is a great idea that spout reminds me of the Dometic spout but for a fraction of the price. Im gonna have to give this a try. Ive even got a 3D printer.

Being from Australia water is seriously a life or death situation in the outback . Most overlanders here carry minimum 2 separate water containers (if one gets a leak you have the other to use) I watched the hand pump vid and it was good but as we know it failed , I see the same issue with the usb charged pump , if it fails you’ll be pouring it out . Check out an Aussie guy called Tim Bates , he has a vid on a gravity fed 20 litre container that is bulletproof. Love your vids Rhino , cheers from Australia mate .

So I just got the same spout in the mail. It’s quality and cool. Got the neck 3D printed. You do anything to have the 2 pieces from shifting back and forth? My spout will move constantly, kinda annoying. Wish I went with the neck mount only without the cap

No I have the same issue and haven't figured out anything for that yet. Let me know what you come up with!
