Thanks for taking the time to post a video showing what this tool can do. It would be much more effective for you, and put much less stress on the electric motor, if you lift up every few seconds as it is spinning to help evacuate the dirt out of the holes. When you just muscle straight down without lifting up occasionally, the extra dirt left in the whole while boring keeps extra unnecessary pressure squeezing on the bit, which puts extra strain on, and more heat into, the electric motor, which shortens the life of the motor. Your dirt was mostly dry and flaky, so you were able to get away with doing it without lifting, but if it was more gummy clay it would've made it very difficult, and very hard on your fairly expensive auger. The other advantage of lifting occasionally is that you don't have to strain as much against the tool trying to twist out of your hands. Less fatigue at the end of the day, and tools lasting longer, especially the expensive ones, is always a good thing. Ridgid's Lifetime Service Agreement would repair or replace the tool if the motor burns up. But, that still causes weeks of down time, unable to use the tool. It's better to not ever need the LSA, and just keep on running smoothly. Have a great day.

Thanks for the very helpful review. (I wouldn’t want it to run on only one battery, because they would need to raise price to build it to run on both 18v & 36-volt.)

Great point, I was thinking it could run on one 18v battery for a short time like the 18v tank air compressor they have. Thanks for the comment!!

      That thing is SWEET!!!!
You know there's a lot of times that I would use that on earlier mornings
In residential areas because of the quietness
      Awesome
