Still no luck? Notes below. Quick access response here: 1) Switch printer to wifi direct, follow directions. 2) regardless of success: switch back to LAN *WITH LAPTOP RIGHT NEXT TO PRINTER* Worked for me! Here's my thoughts (notes.)
For those still in pain after trying this video and searching everywhere and tired of people telling you to see if the fn computer is plugged in etc!!!!!! this is for you:
Assuming you've tried "everything:" I have multiple repeaters with the same LAN line. I selected "Multiple" on my Canon 7560 and everyone else could use the computer through our LAN but my surface notebook. The notebook recognized it but it still was not responding....I have ideas, but nothing really notable as to why this worked. When I recycled from wifi direct to LAN on the printer with my laptop next to it, it worked. Hope that cures it. I wanted to throw my computer out the friggin window!!! It made no sense! Maybe hooking up directly to router while my printer was on a repeater? This should work on the repeaters though...not going to spend any more energy as mission accomplished.

Okay like I'm not understanding this video I turned it off line everything is plugged in my fiance dropped it last night . It did the same thing tbr other day but it worked. Now its not responding to the printer when everything is plugged

I have multiple wifi signals with the same LAN name. I chose "multiple" but still nothing. Your suggestion helped as I made my computer discoverable; however after reset, it still is not responding. It seems as if my computer recognizes it, but it doesn't respond. My wife's iphone communicates with it...I was all excited when I saw this video...but no luck. Thanks anyway!
Coincidence? I have repeaters of the same LAN so we can move around the house. I moved my laptop next to the computer so that there were no alternate LANs with the same name, which shouldn't matter. (see above for previous action.) I tried to hook up with direct wifi and then the driver wasn't available EVEN THOUGH THE COMPUTER RECOGNIZED MY PRINTER! (Windows 10 surface book) When I had my laptop within 2 feet from the computer, after I stopped trying to connect it directly (wifi direct..no LAN) it suddenly switched to online and worked!!!?

This solution did not work for me. Error Printing was my message. Problem was I had just updated my router and found I had to update the new router settings into both my computer and printer. Then my printer started working.

I recently switched my internet service. I am wondering if this is why I get this message when I try to print. I tried your steps, but I still can't get it to print. Any advice? Thank you.
With a new ISP you got probably a new router and new Wifi name and password and now you have to reconnect ... sorry to say my dear :-(

Hello. I did turn on the network discovery and file and printing sharing, but printer is still giving offline error msg. Please advise.
OK ... there are other options too.
- Are you on the same (Wifi) Network as the printer?
- Is none (your PC and printer) of them connected to a 'GUEST' network?
- Did maybe somebody turn on network isolation for a regular network on the router?
- Is there a display on the printer which confirms that it's connected to the network?

Hey so I have a brother MFC-L2700DW when I try to print on my Mac it won’t responding please help!
Sorry - very hard to tell. I don't have neither Mac nor MFC-L2700DW. Did your reboot both of them and also the router. Then maybe try wired connection ... Ethernet or even USB. Also try to switch to a different Wifi if you have more than one from your router. Printers usually use 2.4g. Try to connect to this one with your computer.

On the printer status, it says OFFLINE
Then you haven to connect the printer to the WiFi network. Do you have instructions (manual) for this? Should be in the box when you buy the printer or just download from the manufacturer site
I did it and mine still didn’t work. :(
sorry to hear - do you have a different router you can use ... I mean rather an access point? Sometimes printers are never making friends with some routers ... or can you use USB or Ethernet?
ALLCHECKOUT it’s weird. It worked b4 and it was fine. I can print it manually, but not through the computer. I don’t wanna throw it out cuz it still works. It just doesn’t work through my tablet anymore. I’m using my cable router.
@@ghanasoul Maybe also a wireless extender could work so the printer could be connected there. It's only around $20 (a good one is here: amzn.to/2CwRjua). Maybe worth a try.
