The "bubbly retro-future" Y2K aesthetic is called frutiger aero and I love it so much.
Y2K has its own aesthetic seperate from frutiger aero, i can't find a good way to explain it besides this : Y2K is more SD quality images and metallic/chrome textures, while frutiger aero gives off a more clean and fresh look w HD quaity and LOTS of grass, water ,bubbles, etc. imo Frutiger Aero is like a clean and fresh utopia w lots of nature elements, and Y2K seems to be more technology-based and robotic

Frutiger Aero is Post-Y2K. I do love it so much because the Y2K Era kind of flowed right into Frutiger Aero so smoothly and I think that's why a lot of people think Frutiger Aero feels like Y2K when it only borrowed elements from it.
Also look up Frutiger Metro.
I kinda get the vibe that your Goblincore character is like your Cottagecore character's chaotic little brother who also brings her snails and mushrooms and other random cool things he found while running around the woods they live in together.

Kidcore is the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen. I imagine she’d be the sweetest, most innocent person ever, just wanting everyone to feel included and have fun. I feel like Y2K is like an older sister for her, they might clash a bit, but she still wants to hang out with her and get along with her, maybe their all a little adopted family and whenever they fight she gets sad and always tries to cheer everyone up, she’d probably get along with Cottagecore the best, (Cottagecore would for sure kill for her😅,) they’d go for picnics and playing with frogs, probably with Goblincore tagging along too!😢❤
Goblincore does remind me of my childhood. Scrounging around for stuff in my older relatives' closets for cool little trinkets, exploring the little crevices in old houses, so awesome! I think everyone resonates just a bit with this aesthetic in a way, even though nobody knows what it's called.

a fun sibling of goblincore is crowcore, which emphasises the hoarding shinies aspect of it. imagine goblincore but like,, a LOT of shinies to go with it. strange trinkets,, darker colour palette maybe? its so fun, i love dressing up with it

Amazing designs as always, and I feel like these make great pairs.Y2K feels like Kidcore's older sister, with the accessories and old-school toys. Golbincore and Cottagecore are probably dating since they love nature and have moved away from modern society. All these cores could have a show or webcomic!
I am a BIG fan of goblincore! I tend to make these things called “crow jars” where I just put a bunch of junk I find on the ground in jars and call it a day. I love the drawing of the goblincore character so much because that’s exactly how I dress myself. It’s so cute!

I love these designs! Kidcore's face is such a fun design choice and could be kind of creepy in another context, but here it just reads as sweet. I think she's probably neurodivergent and emoting through a drawing is just easier for her. Anyway I love her and I want her to have the world, and she should stay far far away from the Y2K girlie, who bullied me in middle school XD

Goblincore is my absolute favorite aesthetic of all time!!! I can really resonate with it on a very personal level, which is something that I can't really do with many of the other popular aesthetics. Something about it really just scratches an itch in my lil neurodivergent brain, and I love it! Your interpretation and character design was so good, it really embodies the heart and soul of what Goblincore is.

whimsy, fun, light-hearted and out at nature. gonna go frolic in the fields, dance in the meadows, speak to the bird that landed on my finger like a disney princess while i pull out my red-and-white checkerboard picnic blanket with my bite-sized sandwiches. out in the sun, or lying underneath a tree at the peak of a lone hill with moss as my cushion while i read a book

Love this and a highly uncommonly heard of one is Mothcore which for the most part looks like a combination of cottagecore goblincore and fairycore as far as small bits from each showing

With the y2k glitch thing where if she gets mad her eyes will bug out, that reminds me a little bit of my own eye twitch where if I'm mad, anxious or tired my left eye will twitch. Just kinda a cute lil thing that I noticed. Also if you're reading this, make sure to have some food, stay hydrated and make sure to take care of yourself
