Idaten Deities is trully underrated. You know its godly when the studio who animated it is MAPPA+ its Opening song is so good maybe even running as one of the top spots of Openings this season!
Its ULTRA underrated. It feels like people only want copy/paste isekai's and harem anime... Rarely have I seen an anime with such smart characters and that is such a breath of fresh air.
It’s been really refreshing. That, and sonny boy. I stopped watching anime for a while because I was tired of every show just being the same cliches over and over, and idaten definitely brings a lot of new things to the table, especially regarding morality, and anime which question morality(in a way that actually makes it something to think about and not just “oh look bad people,” since the characters in idaten are definitely neutral aligned) are right up my alley. This is the only time that I’ve ever wanted to keep going and go straight to the manga to keep getting more after just the first few episodes of a show, with others that I continued to the manga with it took the entire first season, or multiple seasons with no new season coming soon to get me to want to pick up the manga. Still trying to figure out where to read the idaten deities manga, though. Or webcomic, since I heard it might have been one of those originally?
Idaten shocked me righteously by how badass it was. The name sounded boring, yet, the characters, story, art style, conflicts, presentation, directing, authenticity, humour, sound, and animation synergy all proved to be ascendant. Started reading the manga, had to stop so that I could give the anime the opportunity to shock that it deserves.
Clicked on the vid just to make sure that "That time I got reincarnated as a slime" gets the highest rating. But I ended up watching the whole video since it was so enjoyable. Well done!
I think Megami Ryou is the best anime of this season. The uncensored version should be S Tier smh. Jokes aside, this list is very similar to where I would've placed them other than Tsukimichi and Duke of Death (I would've given them an A-tier). Every time I put on an episode of this I end up checking if I accidentally skipped or missed an episode. Even on the very first episode. This past month, I binge watched all of Tensura including the Slime Diaries, Ovas, and all of the specials, and it was such a fantastic experience. The slow build up is good because the payoff for each climax was so satisfying. Also, it's impressive how they keep every single character they introduce relevant and likable in some way to the point where I'm actually remembering everyone's names with my tiny ass brain. 10/10 Also, I've noticed that you make a lot of Genshin references in your videos, who do you main? My favorite characters are Hu Tao, Tartaglia, and Xiao.
I love Tensura, I can get people complaining because waiting an entire week just to get another episode of meetings and build up can feel pretty depressing, but it was totally necessary for the plot, we have finally reached the action and the dark days are now behind us

Yes! A tier for me atm. Could rise or fall depending on how the story evolves. The art is fantastic and the story so far is interesting even though it's SoL-y.
Definitely one of my favorites this season. The story is progressing smoothly, the animation is breathtaking and there's a good focus on character development. Given that it's a 2-cour anime, it may just end up becoming my favorite SoL of all time.

I can't believe I have only just started properly interacting eith this channel. I've watched a whole lot of anime, and struggle to find new ones. I use TH-cam to find new ones, but videos include ones I have seen almost 100% of the time. However, not the case with these, many anime gets covered that I have missed. I got more anime on my to-watch list from this video than I have from any other video, and it isn't even about recommendations. I swear, if you did recommendation videos for different genres & hidden gems etc, they'd be golden.
Tsukimichi (at least in the WN and Manga) is only comedy in the very beginning. Problem is the WN is extremely long with it having started before tensura and still continuing to this day, so most of the good stuff and interesting concepts it plays with later on would be in a potential season 3 to season 5 if they hypothetically continued with 12 episode seasons (at the same pace of the first 3 episode. Haven't watched further yet so don't know if they pick up the pace)
Damn. You are a life changer. I generally do not go for comedy animes, though, I fell for Tsukimichi episode 1. If it gets a heavier plot with more drama, I will likely achieve that post nut clarity we hear rumours about.

Iruma-Kun? 2nd season is crushing it, easy A-rank. My personal AOTY so far would be Case Study of Vanitas. Looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, very sexy and story is intriguing. Girlfriend x2 is a C-rank masterpiece. For the inclusion of random Mako Mankanshoku I shall subscribe.

Every time I put on an episode of this I end up checking if I accidentally skipped or missed an episode. Even on the very first episode. Shit just keeps coming up naturally like I'm expected to know what it's about, but it's just not been explained yet. The story was originally written by the author of Dragon Maid too, so I'll probably just go read the manga after all.

This past month, I binge watched all of Tensura including the Slime Diaries, Ovas, and all of the specials, and it was such a fantastic experience. The slow build up is good because the payoff for each climax was so satisfying. Also, it's impressive how they keep every single character they introduce relevant and likable in some way to the point where I'm actually remembering everyone's names with my tiny ass brain. 10/10
Also, I've noticed that you make a lot of Genshin references in your videos, who do you main? My favorite characters are Hu Tao, Tartaglia, and Xiao.
I love Tensura, I can get people complaining because waiting an entire week just to get another episode of meetings and build up can feel pretty depressing, but it was totally necessary for the plot, we have finally reached the action and the dark days are now behind us
I tried getting into the series 2 times... but it just always felt like a typical isekai. I think I watched a few episodes of the first season. Maybe I'm just fed up with isekai

Yes! A tier for me atm. Could rise or fall depending on how the story evolves. The art is fantastic and the story so far is interesting even though it's SoL-y.
Definitely one of my favorites this season. The story is progressing smoothly, the animation is breathtaking and there's a good focus on character development. Given that it's a 2-cour anime, it may just end up becoming my favorite SoL of all time.

Yeah you're gonna have to wait for an ending since the anime was already split in two with only part 1 airing now, and the Manga not being finished. But if this series is anything like the author's previous work Pandora Hearts (the manga not the anime) then this could get really good.

I can't believe I have only just started properly interacting eith this channel. I've watched a whole lot of anime, and struggle to find new ones. I use TH-cam to find new ones, but videos include ones I have seen almost 100% of the time.
However, not the case with these, many anime gets covered that I have missed. I got more anime on my to-watch list from this video than I have from any other video, and it isn't even about recommendations.
I swear, if you did recommendation videos for different genres & hidden gems etc, they'd be golden.

Tsukimichi (at least in the WN and Manga) is only comedy in the very beginning. Problem is the WN is extremely long with it having started before tensura and still continuing to this day, so most of the good stuff and interesting concepts it plays with later on would be in a potential season 3 to season 5 if they hypothetically continued with 12 episode seasons (at the same pace of the first 3 episode. Haven't watched further yet so don't know if they pick up the pace)
Damn. You are a life changer. I generally do not go for comedy animes, though, I fell for Tsukimichi episode 1. If it gets a heavier plot with more drama, I will likely achieve that post nut clarity we hear rumours about.
I will probably start reading the web novel, after 50 manga chapters I am still hooked and that is a good sign.

Iruma-Kun? 2nd season is crushing it, easy A-rank. My personal AOTY so far would be Case Study of Vanitas. Looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, very sexy and story is intriguing.
