All re zero arcs are s tier imo But if I had to say nothing had me more hooked than arc 6 and 4 when I was reading it Literally finished reading arc 5-7 in 2 weeks 💀
It's very hard to rank the arcs for me because they're all so good and my opinion on them changes a lot over time and will change depending on how the story goes especially arc1, so my current temporary ranking would be: Arc6>Arc4>Arc5=Arc7>Arc8>Arc3>Arc2>Arc1
So, I can only rank arc 1-7, because I am the light novel reader and the last translated volume in my country is 32. 7. Arc 1 - it's great introduction to the story, but I just think every other arc is better. 6. Arc 3 - I think it's amazing, but other arcs are so incredible, I just can't put it higher. 5. Arc 4 - truly fantastic arc, but didn't impress me as much as arcs above. 4. Arc 2 - I know it's short, but I absolutely love this arc. The scene when Subaru is being chased by Rem hit me so hard I almost cried. 3. Arc 5 - it is right above arc 2, they are so close, but because of volume 19 I have to put arc 5 higher. 2. Arc 7 - I don't know how it ends yet (I hope I'll get to know soon), but man, volumes 31 and 32 are so magnificent I can't find words to describe it. 1. Arc 6 - this is the best arc of any media I have ever read. The characters developement, plot twists and volume 25 are just unrivaled. Basically, Re:Zero is the best and nothing comes close.

As anime only i skipped to the end before watching the video cause my curiosity got the best of me to find out NOW how the seasons would end up and ended up choking on water when i saw all of them on S tier lmao
I read the English volumes, so I just finished arc 6 and I was floored. It used one of my least favorite tropes in fiction to do one of the worst things it could have done with the story, to the point where I got visibly upset about it while reading... only to realize as it inched toward the end of the story exactly what it was trying to do. It stuck the landing in a pep talk scene that I think completely dwarves the one the "From Zero" scene in arc 3. It reminded me of my favorite scene in Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi, which is also my favorite anime film of all time, and that's really high praise coming from me. It zipped arc 6 to the top of my own tier list, which is saying something because arc 4 was already at the top, having felt like a satisfying partial resolution of sorts to the first three arcs with tons of thematic payoff. After that, I really like arc 3, though I think the novel read better than the anime felt while watching due to the extra scenes over Subaru's making a fool of himself and the greater characterization of the side characters. There's a reason that it feels like so many side stories and EX volumes revolve around getting to know arc 3's characters. They're all just so good. Arc 5 has one of the better whiplash twists in the story, having convinced me it was going full shounen battle manga with its narrative, only to pull the rug out from underneath everyone's feet and proclaim "Hahaha! You fell for my diversion!" as the secrets of the arc are revealed. Arc 2 was good, but it still hit snags on trying to get me to care about Subaru's character or Rem's feelings for him following the arc. Arc 1 was good enough to initially hook me and showed a lot of potential, but as an intro arc, it has a lot of flaws, too. I do like some of the retroactively fun details setting up later arcs, though. You should make a ranking of the EX volumes next. They're technically just longer short stories, but they each have a nice storytelling cohesion to them and equally powerful moments as the main series that the shorter short series don't have time to build up. I love them.
The fact that you ranked arc 4 so low, made me more excited for Arc 7&8 tho I havent watched your explanation bc of spoilers. My current ranking from best to worse Arc 6&3 Arc 5 Arc 4 Arc 1 Arc 2
The shortened loops in Arc 7 all lead to the "I know" loop, but i'm sure you're already aware. I had thought that the shift away from showing all the loops in full in 7 and 8, especially compared to 1-6 did a great job in keeping the focus of the series varied and refreshing. Especially when exploring Subaru as a character via Natsumi and Small Baru. The series is long and having 40 volumes of the one "gimmick" would be much more dull, so i think that Tappei trying to experiment allowed Arc 7 to be super new and exciting personally. I agree to an extent that the teleporting from Watchtower to Vollachia and Chaosflame to Ginunhive seem arbitrary; However, there was lots of talk in the story about fate possibly bringing him there and it was a good way to seperate Subaru from his companions, lending to a general feeling of everything being out of control in the Arc. I'll reserve full judgement until we know how it all actually works, Satella, Stargazers, fate and the like but the worldbuilding Arc 7/8 gave the story i feel were super valuable so I can overlook it.

The teleportation makes sense in universe because Yin magic controls space and was being used to teleport Subaru somewhere else before being interrupted by Volcanica. That's the least controversial thing about Arc 7.
Man I really hope we do get a proper explanation for the teleportation stuff at some point, like clearly Satella was doing something there but I have no idea what. But I still really like the arc a lot and also I want Todd to be my wife. Arc 8 actually felt more all over the place to me to be honest. Arc 6 >= 4 > 7 >= 3 > 5 >= 8 > 2 > 1. Arc 9 is currently going so fucking hard, if I had to rank it based on my imagination I'd have to put it at the top but I'll withhold for now.

Found Arc one difficult to get through, Subaru is not a terribly likable character in it. But past there we get into the explorations of the butterfly effect and the author playing with archetypes, as well as a lot of good character exploration, so it's all great. Arc 4 was a bit dull after a while, arc five had way too many fight scenes and arc seven could have been better formulated but they are all S tier while Arc one is B maybe.
I stopped watching after he ranked arc4 because of spoilers, but I bet he's gonna put every arc in S tier because Re:zero itself is S tier. also the true reason for arc 4's existence was just because the author wanted Beatrice to say Nya (al miNya)
