NEXT UP on the Anime Man: I GATHERED 100 INFLUENCERS IN A ROOM AND MADE THEM PREPARE SANDWICHES INSPIRED BY THEIR FAVORITE ANIME. Put this formidable network to good use.
100%, i'm happy that (most of) the comment section didn't turn into a bloodbath. And its really cool to see all these different people, coming together here bonding over anime.
For me, it’s Clannad. Might be a weird pick, but the whole story is so emotional, every character with their flaws and overcoming whatever they’ve been struggling with. It’s just great and also… Dango Daikazoku and After Story.
Not at all a weird pick!! Clannad is one of the first anime’s I watched and it was such an emotional, heartbreaking story so beautifully told!! The story really resonated with me! Definitely agree it’s one of the best!! ❤
@@sinbad6319 Instant flashback of childhood and again supremecy of gurren lagann.sadly after the end of gureen lagann there is still no good mecha anime available to compare with gurren lagann.
Big brain move by Joey The Anime Man here! Get 100 other people to talk about anime so that Joey doesn't have to. Great video, keep up the good work Joey!
Mr moist Charlie picked the same favourite as mine. Code Geass is just incredible with how it manages pacing, animation, writing and the absolutely best ending. Many picked really good ones well.
As someone who’s favorite is Code Geass as well, season 2’s pacing was pretty bad to me, in the sense where all the knightmares got super power crept, taking away the strategy part that was so prevalent in the first season. With that being said, the ending is probably my favorite not just in anime, but any show I’ve watched so far
I also like his unorthodox choice for 2003 version instead of brotherhood. But for real though 2003 version is as good as brotherhood, its weird to see people dump on a good show just because it has original stories.
Dude, can't believe Daidus acknowledged the godly show that is Ranma 1/2, the anime that in my opinion is one of the most overlooked pre-2000s classics! The characters have depth, the story is long but never fails to keep my attention, and the art style and animation are out of this world for a pre-2000s work!
mob psycho 100 is criminally underrated like. the animation, the character development, the hints of comedy but also serious moments, it ends off perfectly not too short or long, and the music is soooo good (2nd for me is jojo, 3rd is one piece)
Even though it isn't my absolute favorite, I completely agree with u! It really is one of the best shonens ever made. Also Reigen is my favourite character of all time. (My top anime are Horimiya, Edgerunners, Made in Abyss, AOT and then Mob)
@@hochhosisko6619 What's great in Horimiya. People were talking on this anime very much, I don't like there character design so I haven't tried it. There are better shows available
I love how Gigguk and Carson don't take the question seriously at all and they're just trying to troll as many people as possible with their answers. Never change, Guys!

Bungou Stray Dogs is by far my favorite anime. I also love the Bungou Stray Dogs Manga as my favorite this show to me just hits my taste in all the right places, i know its not for everyone but it was the first show where i just love everything, the amazing things, the good things and all of its flaws it just speaks to my soul i love it
@@advaysood1758 well there's my first choices is of baccano and durarara even left click I'm assuming you watched before so... Um let's see...black lagoon I like alot Uh...a underated choice is a chinese anime called scissors seven is one I recommend people check out, it's really good imo.
Kizuna Ai started her hiatus 2 months ago, and the fact that she is here means that this collab took longer than that to prepare, thank you for your hard work! 🥺💟
I'll start by saying my absolute fav guilty pleasure is girls und panzer, the fact that they made a girls in tanks tornament so enjoyable and so fun to watch was incredible, and i still like to listen to the russian song. But my absolute favorite is overlord, to the music, to the sound design, animation and art style and the characters stories it is just so absolutely amazing and was quite saddened that it didnt get mentioned once, the fact that youve got this world where people feel so powerful but then they see this group just blow them wayyy out of the water is just the best thing ever, and then theyre ruled by this introverted gamer who has to learn how to be an undead ruler is just so amazing and you see how he becomes less of a human every day. Also jojo forever in my heart
I loved it when I was growing up, but I went back to rewatch it later and found it to not hold up so well with (my own) age. Particular the ending, which only gets more confusing the more you try to understand it.
Man RubberRoss's well done the man! Your message about your good friend hits hard it's both incredibly cool that you have that attachment to this media and incredibly sad that it's a weight that you must carry. RIP Monty may you live forever in the hearts of your friends, family & those who your good will touched.
This collab is insane! My favourite anime of all time is Bungou Stray Dogs! Ill admit it’s got lots of problems with pacing and repetition especially in season 1, but it’s my favorite because it’s the first anime that genuinely made me super invested in its characters, along with the real life authors which they are based off! BSD is a show that’s inspired me greatly throughout my art journey!
At the domics part, I could tell it was One Piece by the music (cuz they pretty much use the same 50 songs for the whole show) and I KNEW it was the boat scene pretty much right off, even though I watched the Dub. That scene is the most powerful emotional moment in pretty much all of anime, maybe all Fiction to be honest. Really hit harder than anything else.
Ross's story about Monty... Monty Oum was my roll model, and the entire reason I went to college. I will never forget the drive and aura that man had, and hearing Ross, a good friend of his, talking about these genuinely nice memories has got my heart all aflutter
I didn't expect a Monty cameo in this video. I knew him from RT and watched the RTPodcast where they had to play B-Roll cause he had passed. The announcement came the next day which was devastating. He was such a cool and chill person.
Most of the TH-camrs :-One Piece Chris Broad :-GTO What a Chad!!! Edit:-After finishing the video am glad that many TH-camrs has different taste and some hidden gem in their preference.
Man, Ross talking about Monty Oum always gets me, you can tell how much of an inspiration he was and continues to be for everyone who ever met him, even talking about him right now makes me want to go out there and make something
Gurren Lagann wasn't really that interesting for me, but the early RWBY seasons... Man, I could probably still sing most of the OSTs if I had their tunes playing in the bg. And did I mention the fight scenes?
Ross's part was really nice to hear. Looked up to Monty in high school and was broken when he passed. I always keep him in my mind no matter what I create, he was truly a creator in every since of the word. His work ethic was crazy and he never wanted to stop. I try to match that energy, but no one did it like Monty Oum did it.
I can't believe Joey "The Anime Man" would clickbait us like this. The moment he said that he didn't include 100 TH-camrs but instead he got 107, I felt betrayed. I've never felt betrayed this much in my entire life... Shame on you Joey "The Anime Man"...
I gotta say the best anime of all time is Yona of the Dawn. It’s very elegantly written and drawn, it hits the right spots, and tells the struggles of young women everywhere and how we can grow stronger. My personal favorite 100% is Sailor Moon. A very sweet story about growing up and is overall iconic. Cool takes though
The fact that PewDiePie is the most subbed TH-camr and he tried to plug his merch on The Anime Man's video was fvcking hilarious for me, never change, Felix.
Ross saying "anime is fucking awesome" with his voice shaking and understanding that backstory within the 20 second clip brought tears to my eyes. It's been 10 years since I last cried. I needed that Ross. Thank you.
One Piece is alright. If you want to watch it... read it instead. I've watched 700 episodes and I regret it. No one can argue with me that it has the worst pacing in all of anime.
Hey guys, my first anime is Hellsing Ultimate. I was nine years old, when I watched it on my mom's laptop. It is brutal as hell and I did not get any nightmares from it. You can say I accidentally explore the dark side of my autistic/innocent myself. I watch Dragon Ball and Naruto when I was getting older. I never really had a lot of friends in the township and I still have doubts about me, trying to be normal to society, not to mention my dad abandoned me. I have so many issues in life and how to choose my own path. My friends in my old school introduced me to the world of not just anime, pop culture itself. That is when it changed my life entirely. My favourite anime of all time is now Bleach. The lore is complex, yet interesting. It raises me so many questions about the characters true intentions, plot twists that you get speechless and their powers as well.
I'm so happy more than 1 person said Monster. That is such a precious gem of a series that gives you so much to think about as you grow older and rewatch things with a slightly different lens.
Monster really is one of a kind. Urasawa planted it in the grim reality of a Cold War Europe and its aftermath and let it grow naturally into a masterpiece that could transcend any medium. I could see it working as a novel, as a TV series, as a visual novel or anything else for that matter because the plot is just so masterfully crafted. Yet thanks to the mangaka's signature artstyle, it being a manga/anime just feels right. Not to mention how faithfully the source material was adapted. It really feels like a work of love and passion from start to finish. And I'm overjoyed to see other people appreciating it for the gold standard it is for the industry as a whole.
For me it was really hard to watch because of the slow pacing, especially if youre used to more action-driven animes but if you really watch it you understand why it is so awesome and pretty much one of its kind.
@@CrissCrossCA I wouldn't say its slow, it's just "slow" at giving you the answers that you want, and even after you get some tidbits they only open up new questions which can sometimes be a little annoying, mostly because you cannot watch all 70+ episodes in one sitting, even tho you want to.
@@Malisa1990 Yeah but thats what I ment. You watch it for the awnsers but you get them so occasional that you may get bored. At one point there were like 5-10 eps where the doc was helping some turks unrelated to the story. I mean I liked that being german cuz its related to my countrys history but thats just world building without any story progression. I tried rewatching it a couple of times but never could as I was bored after a few episodes. But maybe thats just me.
I never did liked the anime. I first read 20th Century Boys and ohhh boy what a thrill it was. I immediately looked for Urasawa's other works after finishing 20th Century Boys, found Monster and got excited that there was an anime of it but man it felt different to watch Monster as an anime, after watching a few episodes I switched to reading the manga and I was glad I read the manga instead of watching the anime. But it's a good thing that there is an anime like Monster, people who likes will find Urasawa's other work like 20th century Boys and Billy Bat and Pluto
Lando’s breakdown 🫡👏best of the best take throughout the video Defining the BEST not favorite ✅ Using bulletpoints ✅ Not using I or you too often ✅ Logic included when describing ✅ Going to give a good review at the end of the quarter/semester
RIP Monty, gone but most assuredly not forgotten. Wish I could see more of his work. His clothing style always reminded me of Spike Speagal oddly, coincidentally my favorite character of my favorite anime
Garnt saying "full metal alchemist" is the best anime he's ever seen is the CHADDEST moment. For those who don't know Garnt has never seen full metal alchemist. everything he knows about it is through osmosis. Where are my fellow people of culture/trash taste enthusiasts at?
I'm a trash taste enthusiast, last episode with daidus was rly good btw, but still I preffer a honest answer than a joke in a video with 100+ people, not only he but a few others did this and lost me
1:00:00 bless him for saying dorohedoro, i really didnt expect anyone to say it. its got amazing worldbuilding, wacky humor and such insane and unique characters its got me desperately waiting for s2. if you enjoy titles like chainsaw man, FLCL (tatsuki fujimoto the author of csm himself describes csm as a blend of FLCL and dorohedoro) plus i think fans of jjba could also get into this series. if youre looking for a sign to start a new anime or if this has been on ur list and u havent started it yet pls take it as a sign to do so!! edit: hey i didnt expect to see so many dorohedoro enjoyers here you guys are epic af
Characters dont look appealing nor the anime, makes it unpopular to most of the people and we can see the evidence in its popularity to top it off the anime was in CG which turns more people off not hating on it just dissecting reasons why it remains very niche
One my favourite mangas ever too. I don't really watch anime as much anymore because I'm tired of watching average stuff that I forget after finishing it but dorohedoro manga was so good it got me watching the anime version too.
I agree with most of what you said! Only thing, Fujimoto sensei said CSM is a "copycat" of Dorohedoro and Jujutsu Kaisen, not FLCL. If anyone liked Chainsaw man or Jujutsu Kaisen, i highly recommend you check the other one! Both great pieces with very similar settings, but taken in different directions!
Can't agree more, I was so happy to see it get in somewhere!! It needs more recognition. Especially from all the other guys who said they liked shows because of "step on me" energy ;)
I like that at 13:58 he actually distinguished between his favorite and *the best* in which i agree, while brotherhood may not be my favorite, i think it is the best anime
I'll be honest, FMA:B is probably not in MY Top 10 Favorite Animes, but I will not disagree that it may critically be the best anime series currently, not including anime films. I say that mostly because unlike a lot of other animes, FMA:B is actually a completed anime with a clear start and finish. I will never call an unfinished anime the 'best' anime. Gurren Lagann is certainly up there, but I do think it loses a few points for inconsistency even though the situation surrounding that is regrettable. Now of course, I'm not set in my opinion and given the right suggestions and backing, I may support that another anime is critically better than FMA:B.
I mean those categories are dabable though like some stories speak better to different people. I know for fact there's better waifus out there. So at the end of the day the best was still preference. When you have multiple anime absolutely nailing 100 percent of what they were going for at that point you just got to like the one you connect with more.
Surprising, No one realized that Gigguk answered Full Metal Alchemist, which is a meme in itself since he hasn't even watched it even after getting it recommended a billion times.
I was waiting for someone to say this, considering how he's mentioned it every other time the anime is brought up (and laughing to himself when he picked said anime). To be fair though, others TH-camrs did bring up FMA:B, so that's probably how he got away with it.
My absolute favorite has to be Violet Evergarden! It has been described before as “Anime therapy” and if there’s one thing I think everyone needs now-a-days it’s therapy. I love that it’s a story about love itself and the many ways in which it not only can be felt, but also how it can be expressed and the use of letters to convey that idea makes it even more apparent! Also… the animation… I mean what else can I say, it’s gorgeous.
A question like "Greatest Anime of All Time" is really hard to answer. If you want to find out the actual best there so many thing to take account. Like Animation, Style, VoiceActing, Themes, Characters, Ending, etc etc. And thats not easy at all. So I wouldn't be able to answer that question. I can only talk about My Favourites. And there are many to mention. But at the moment my Top 1 is *Natsume Yuujinchou* Is such a wholesome Slice Of Life-Fantasy Anime with an slow but worthy pacing. Being very episodic with Each episode having some little Life Lesson that could resonate with anyone. It was such a wonderfull experience and beside the life lessons it does have a story that slowley developes. Still waiting for S7 😅😌 From all Natsume, one of the things that stood out to me and never forget, was this episode in which the protagonist passes by a town he lived in for some time when he was little, being mostly a Flashback episode. Ends with this quote: "When you have someone you want to see, you are no longer Alone" And it really stayed with me. If you feel like you are all alone in this world, there is always going to be at least One person who cares about you, waiting for you. You only have to see it ✨
Oh my god Natsume Yuujinchou. That anime is and also has been at the top of my list ever since I discovered it back when. It's not the master of its class, but it's mostly the fact that for a show that's quiet from the emotionally loud life I've had (You know, people arguing, disputes, tantrums, etc.) having this show be incredibly peaceful and soothing was possibly the best thing I could ever ask for, personally. This anime feels like it's patting me on the back in a way to say it's okay and that things can work out. I've never bawled at an opening's lyrics until Floria. And then Uru's Remember. It hit different. Watching Natsume develop friendships and relationships with both the yokai and humans and being able to go on the path to try to find a middle ground to being friends with both is just so endearing and I just want to support this boy in his endeavors in life.
For the viewers who hasn't watched a single anime yet that encountered this video for the first time out of curiosity if their favorite TH-camr is here, consider this video as a guideline on what to watch, if you ever decide to go down the rabbit hole of anime. Most of the picks I'm seeing are pretty quality and vary a lot in terms of genre surprisingly.
I haven't even started this video yet beyond his summary. I'm glad he just said he also asked what's your favourite because I swear to god my brain reflexively went "Serial Experiments Lain.... then afterwards started going, that's your favourite anime but not the greatest ever- you know you are biased think of animation quality, or story or movie versus OVAS vs Series, what about music or..." and he just said Lain and I felt so much less bad about my brain screaming it.
Another reason I like these big collab videos, it introduces creators you may have never heard of and may want to see what content they have to offer and nope sorry can't just pick one. Every show I've seen all have their reasons. Saying that, the one show that wasn't my first but was the first to get hooked on was Dragonball Z. Not the best overall of a series but the fight scenes and suspense where the best when I first saw it. Obviously there's much better now but DBZ will always have that place for me.
I cried looking at the background after so long ngl. Hope Joey keeps making anime/manga related content no matter how scarce it maybe once in a while. Also would love to see more interviews with other mangakas from you.
I think it’s so beautiful the variety of people you asked. It wasn’t just huge TH-camrs, but it was small channels, cosplayers, vtubers, adult content creators. It was all amazing. I forgot some of these animes existed, despite it being some of the most enjoyable to watch. Everyone’s own anime journey is subjective and personal to them. That’s way anime has such a far reaching grasp for its audience. I’m happy anime is growing. There’s a quote from Korean Director Bong Joon Ho that fits perfectly for anime: *”Once you overcome the 1-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films,”*
Man samurai champloo is a masterpiece. No Anime tells you that it is about the journey and not the goal like Champloo. You even feel so crushed at the end that the journey is over an everyone goes their own way- but that is how life works- you meet friends along the way- some stay some don´t and you try to achieve your goals and maybe you find someone else who has the same goal as you. Champloo tells you that everyone has their own life and own pursues it is awesome. My Favorite Anime is Schooldays btw: Teenage boy who uses every chance he gets meanwhile he fucks with the mental of the other girls unwillingly creating a disaster. Then u got his best friend who is into him but doesn´t tell him and even got a v e r y unexpecting ending xd Imo Schooldays is a masterpiece and honestly not that far from reality-
Seeing Ross’s part and him tearing up mentioning Monty and the editing really got to me. I remember Monty’s passing and how heartbreaking it was, I can’t even imagine how it must have felt to the people who were close to him reliving that. Anime truly brings people together and causes them to create amazing things. Monty may be gone but the animation Ross makes now and RWBY (the series he coined) live on and continue to thrive.

This was a really impressive project and was glad to see such a diverse crowd brought in for open opinions - especially with even a few creators as small as only a thousand or so subs here among the giants like yourself, garnt, etc. Tho I am suprised and a bit disappointed we didn't get a few of the other giants on here like Mother's Basement or RDCWorld1, or fairly well known mid-sized anitubers like KorewaEden, 414Anime, or Espiritu to name a few. But overall this was a solid pool and well presented, great job
If that video wasnt that old, i would have got the beats for that but for me its hellsing, NGE and gungrave. So unique, yet diverse in style. I love it
as a 52-year-old American, the anime that had the biggest impact were the two I watched when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s - Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers) and Speed Racer. Still love them to this day. Best self-contained anime of all time has to be the film Akira. Incredible!

For me, it’s Clannad. Might be a weird pick, but the whole story is so emotional, every character with their flaws and overcoming whatever they’ve been struggling with. It’s just great and also… Dango Daikazoku and After Story.
Not weird at all, I'm saying that because I also agree with you.

I wholeheartedly agree.
clannad had a bad arc but the rest was actually good. After story is a masterpiece though
Not at all a weird pick!! Clannad is one of the first anime’s I watched and it was such an emotional, heartbreaking story so beautifully told!! The story really resonated with me! Definitely agree it’s one of the best!! ❤

With that being said, the ending is probably my favorite not just in anime, but any show I’ve watched so far
yep, for me its my top 1. with some flaw's, but still incredibly enjoyable.
On top of those plus the waifus tooo lol

I also like his unorthodox choice for 2003 version instead of brotherhood.
But for real though 2003 version is as good as brotherhood, its weird to see people dump on a good show just because it has original stories.
Dude, can't believe Daidus acknowledged the godly show that is Ranma 1/2, the anime that in my opinion is one of the most overlooked pre-2000s classics! The characters have depth, the story is long but never fails to keep my attention, and the art style and animation are out of this world for a pre-2000s work!
Yesss this manga had me in a chokehold and I never hear anyone talk about it!
The only reason I've ever even heard about it is the collab they did with Battle Cats a while back lol. Seems neat

Only konosuba season 1 is good. Season 2 is rushed and has terrible animation. The jokes werent funny anymore either.
mob psycho 100 is criminally underrated like. the animation, the character development, the hints of comedy but also serious moments, it ends off perfectly not too short or long, and the music is soooo good (2nd for me is jojo, 3rd is one piece)
The ending made me cry because of it, because of both the animation and build up
Even though it isn't my absolute favorite, I completely agree with u! It really is one of the best shonens ever made. Also Reigen is my favourite character of all time. (My top anime are Horimiya, Edgerunners, Made in Abyss, AOT and then Mob)

I knew it was OP, but I couldn’t pinpoint the scene. Thanks for the help and I totally agree.

Ross talking about Monty is so heartbreaking, but so full of love. I hope people appreciate both How great Rubberross is and Monty was
RIP Monty, gone but most assuredly not forgotten.
I'm a trash taste enthusiast, last episode with daidus was rly good btw, but still I preffer a honest answer than a joke in a video with 100+ people, not only he but a few others did this and lost me
pretty sure his real answer would've been Evangelion
is this the timeline where he watches FMA?

For me Akira, Ghost in the Shell or (personal choice) Shigurui Death Frenzy
Characters dont look appealing nor the anime, makes it unpopular to most of the people and we can see the evidence in its popularity to top it off the anime was in CG which turns more people off
not hating on it just dissecting reasons why it remains very niche
I absolutely love dorohedoro.
Now of course, I'm not set in my opinion and given the right suggestions and backing, I may support that another anime is critically better than FMA:B.
yeah same here its not in my top ten but i wont disagree about it bieng the best
The way my brain recognized that it sounded weird but didn’t fully register until reading this comment😂
after each recomendation, he delays watching it for a day
I havent watched it either, hell i just started HunterxHunter
When your job is to review things and something has already been reviewed by EVERYONE, it's just a waste of time to re-tread that path.
it warms my heart to see someone like dororo and welcome to nhk...

Definitely agree with you
Awesome, same too
It sux
I cannot agree more
i was just thinking, it gotta be Violet Evergarden, so glad someone agree with me
I think Ross's reason is one of the best in the entire episode, there's a long heart-felt reason. It's so great
His story really got to me 🥺
A question like "Greatest Anime of All Time" is really hard to answer. If you want to find out the actual best there so many thing to take account. Like Animation, Style, VoiceActing, Themes, Characters, Ending, etc etc.
And thats not easy at all. So I wouldn't be able to answer that question.
I can only talk about My Favourites. And there are many to mention. But at the moment my Top 1 is *Natsume Yuujinchou*
Is such a wholesome Slice Of Life-Fantasy Anime with an slow but worthy pacing. Being very episodic with Each episode having some little Life Lesson that could resonate with anyone.
It was such a wonderfull experience and beside the life lessons it does have a story that slowley developes. Still waiting for S7 😅😌
From all Natsume, one of the things that stood out to me and never forget, was this episode in which the protagonist passes by a town he lived in for some time when he was little, being mostly a Flashback episode. Ends with this quote: "When you have someone you want to see, you are no longer Alone"
And it really stayed with me.
This was undoubtedly one of the best ideas you've had for a video.
Maybe as a sequel you ask 100 TH-camrs what their favorite manga is?
Or what the worst anime is
Yo
If you ask manga it would be 30% opm 30% mha and 40% rest
I would kill to guest on a manga version of this video.
@@TrackingShots I'd give my kidneys for a manhwa version
For the viewers who hasn't watched a single anime yet that encountered this video for the first time out of curiosity if their favorite TH-camr is here, consider this video as a guideline on what to watch, if you ever decide to go down the rabbit hole of anime. Most of the picks I'm seeing are pretty quality and vary a lot in terms of genre surprisingly.
I agree for all new viewers just remember that Goku can beat your favorite character no questions asked.
@@monkeydoesnotpaytaxes Stop
love you homie
bro no one asked you
I haven't even started this video yet beyond his summary.

Why would u cry
Only Joey, The Anime Man, could connect every influencer and create this massive collaboration! Kudos, man! I enjoy listening to everyone's pick.
There’s a quote from Korean Director Bong Joon Ho that fits perfectly for anime:
*”Once you overcome the 1-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films,”*
Man samurai champloo is a masterpiece. No Anime tells you that it is
about the journey and not the goal like Champloo.
You even feel so crushed at the end that the journey is over an everyone
goes their own way- but that is how life works- you meet friends along the way-
some stay some don´t and you try to achieve your goals and maybe you find someone
else who has the same goal as you.
Champloo tells you that everyone has their own life and own pursues it is awesome.
My Favorite Anime is Schooldays btw: Teenage boy who uses every chance he gets meanwhile
he fucks with the mental of the other girls unwillingly creating a disaster. Then u got his best friend
who is into him but doesn´t tell him and even got a v e r y unexpecting ending xd
Imo Schooldays is a masterpiece and honestly not that far from reality-
Seeing Ross’s part and him tearing up mentioning Monty and the editing really got to me.

Most mindblowing: SE Lain, Death Note, Attack on Titan, Gantz.

Great job !
Also surprised mother's basement didn't show up here

as a 52-year-old American, the anime that had the biggest impact were the two I watched when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s - Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers) and Speed Racer. Still love them to this day. Best self-contained anime of all time has to be the film Akira. Incredible!
