I quite liked the Matchbox Corsair .. but you did a great job on this kit .. nice to see a somebody enjoying doing basic older kits .. that is how it should be.
From an age when reviewers praised 'finely raised panel lines'.. 🙂 Great result - there's nothing better than taking an ancient kit and giving it a bit of TLC to produce a little masterpiece!
That kit has turned out beautifully! Amazing work. I've built a few FROGs myself and they can be a little hit & miss but I really liked their Spit VIII which is similar vintage to this Corsair. I also found the decals a pleasant surprise.
I built a couple of those back in the day. Not a bad model at all. One was built with kit decals, the other with Kepford's markings from Modeldecal. Now it is another collector's item...
Nice result, the kiwi markings would have made a good pairing with the Boomerang kit as there is records of the two planes working effectively together in the Solomon Island campaign. Thought your weathering was great.
I have always liked the Corsair and you have done a great job with this golden oldie. Thanks for the information on Telford, it seems a bit rich for me but there are loads of shows around the country and the Bolton show is very close to where I live and is one of the larger shows, I went last year and it was great, cheers.
I’ve built some Frog derived kits previously, in Revell boxes. I quite liked them. Not the best but they had charm and went together rather well. I’d like to give their Avro Shackleton a go!
@creativetimewasting FROG kits did not make it to the valleys when I was a lad, just Matchbox and Airfix. I bought a load of FROG kits online and enjoyed building them all.

That's a really impressive effort! Nothing wrong with that at all......she looks great 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Impressive build of that classic kit. Seeing how well your decals worked gives me hope for some of mine.

Great job mate. It's a recurring nightmare for me using the decals on old kits so I really appreciate what you shared, really useful 👍
What a nice aircraft kit build.

I’m busy with an Airfix Boomerang, video should be up in a week or two. 👍

The model show on Tyneside is the closest for me and it’s quite good I will be there this year.
I like the fact you made it as a kit, without being over-fussy. It was a decent kit until the Hasegawa ones came out

I built the Shackleton maybe 50 years ago and it was a beautiful kit
I built this kit recently,it's very good for its age, much better than Airfix of the same vintage.
I think I have only built a few Frog kits, probably in the 1970s so this was a pleasant surprise and it’s quite a decent kit. 👍

@ I will build more I’m sure.
What a wonderful kit.
Working your modeler's magic on these old kits. She looks weather worn and ready to fight.
