All jokes aside, I doubt most people who are opting for this over a full fledged modeler will be bothered by a limit on the number of impulse responses they can load. The fact they included that feature at all seems like a nice bonus, especially considering the AIRD default IRs are stellar imo.
Yep. I play professionally each week and have for over 20 years. I have an acoustic IR along with a 2 x12 green back IR that I would use. Seems to me that is about all I would need. Option paralysis is a real thing and these ME units help with that. I can’t count how many times I have played with only a zoom ms50 (and gotten compliments asking me what I had on my board LOL)
@@brianbivens6476 that’s awesome haha. Just using effects in the right way with good playing will make just about anyone believe you Must be using the coolest gear ever. And well, you are.
I think if Boss did a better job at explaining to the community what AIRD was, no one would care about IR's. There's also a ton of misconception about what IRs do. You kinda have to dig around to find it. But essentially AIRD is like combining the best of profiling and modeling to get a speaker simulation that is way more accurate and responsive than a simple IR is capable of.
Great video with the tone challenge. I only wish you would have included a mid gain crunch setting. I think the biggest challenge for a digital unit is always to deliver an authentic 70s Stones or AC/DC type crunch sound.
So one way I'm using it is bypass the amp models and run straight into a clean dry guitar amp.. preferably with a good Celestion speaker... the 'drive' models all sound amazing and the effects are perfect.. especially the univibe!! This thing is perfect for me and could easily replace all my pedals.
my opinion is a cropped version of the gt-1000, but the effects with effects control are brought to the panel for the convenience of working on stage, the sound is the same, but the possibilities are slightly less than in the gt-1000
I just bought one and received it about a week ago. Its sitting in my closet now. Havent had time to mess with it yet. Good video Thanks i subscribed now. Take care 👍👏💯🎸🎸
Yeah, not good advertising at all, everything sounded kinda bad or too artificial but I have also seen videos where the thing sounded fantastic. They may've used the wrong output setting here.
Its battery powered ya say ..i take it that it dont come with the power adaptor again like on the me .80...boss are tight as fk..your be buying batterys every week for sure
Why can't any of you guys show me a simple clean tone? Keep the effects off until you can create a solid clean tone so I get an idea of what everything else is built on. After watching twenty or so videos, I have yet to hear what this unit can do for me.
I think they forgot the unit in the amp output mode😂 But, in all fairness, Boss should stop this shit, nobody cares running a modeler in front of an amp.

I imagine this would be more for gigging guitarists who already have a tone dialled in, so would only need a few IR slots.

If you need more than 3 IR-s you’re a Dbag.
Much love for Jason Becker!! Its nice to see that guitar in hands of a very good giitar player
Nice Carvin!

Arigato, better music!

I bought one 7 months ago and it's already stopped working. Sending it for repair or replacement still under warranty
Couldn't help actionning the trem bar on the end of chords on the acoustic emulation 😅
The Pavlov effect
ThX Y'all. 👍🔥🎸🔥👏✌
Hold on, is that Beneath the Remains at 09:31?
Great video, what was that riff you played at 12:18 😂
I listen to a lot of treble or It's my idea??
Nice. Think it's sounding decent.
Nice Becker Bluey!
1st thing to use is, THE TUNER.
Great idea for a video. For my taste, All of those tones were brittle, thin and well… terrible. But, I love the rest of it!
Yeah, not good advertising at all, everything sounded kinda bad or too artificial but I have also seen videos where the thing sounded fantastic.

Totally agree!!! Sounded like shit really. Nothing against his playing but the sounds were god awful!
The elderly man on the left is James Corden's Dad, right?
or mark wahlberg's brother
Maybe, because he is as irritating as Corden.
Sounds like my GT-1 that I have gigged with for years into front of amps, effects returns, direct to PA. Just sayin'.
JASON BECKER GUITAR SIGNATURE 😍
Its battery powered ya say ..i take it that it dont come with the power adaptor again like on the me .80...boss are tight as fk..your be buying batterys every week for sure
Or just spend the money you'd spend on Batterys on getting a power cable?

Somehow made it sound dreadful.
Classic Boss: Good functionality, bad modelling
Just play an acoustic guitar..don't bother
guitar was out of tune.
find a more versatile in style player
That was the worst attempt at a "Sweet Home Alabama" sound I've ever heard!
Less is more!!
this me90 soinds lile shit lile 90s cosm plastic boss sounds....One of the worst processors
I bought one and disliked it from the moment I took it out of the box. Everything sounds thin and plastic. I wouldn’t waste my money if I were you.
