      @@petertran5419 there was a documentary on it they tore it down, I have some relatives from there, when Vietnam fell a lot of people were killed, they tore the shit down. That my belief, and i think the documentary was pretty correct

      They also changed all the old name, e.g Saigon to Ho Chi Minh City for political and idealist reasons. But still 50% of the country, the southern part are practicing capitalism, at least in their mind.

      unlikely. Eaves dropping would have been so much easier from South Korea or from space. Vietnam is far from China's power center Beijing. Those China southern provinces only have manufacturing industries.

    Please do not preach misinformation. 😅Do you understand basic economic: inflation rate between 2017 (U.S. Embassy in the U.K.) and 2023 (U.S. Embassy in Vietnam) is over 20%. Which means if we allow for inflation 1.2 billions USD in 2033 is worth less than 1 billion USD in 2017, which in turn means the U.S. Embassy in the U.K. is still the most expensive one.

Or Afghanistan left within 1 day after millions of dollars spent, and Afghanistan returned to Taliban? As for Vietnam moving closer to US and Europe,the Vietnamese are not stupid.China is their biggest trading partner and the Chinese economy is projected to be the largest in the world soon.Even major European countries refuse to decouple from China.The world can see the US is declining and is grasping at the straws .
