Hi Malachi! Thank you for watching! Those are great questions. I made a video about what diplomats do here: th-cam.com/video/Kx7KFvIJMTw/w-d-xo.html There is also a book called, "Inside a U.S. Embassy." It goes into more detail. For internship info, please see: careers.state.gov/interns-fellows/
Hard to say. Once a foreign service officer does anything other than ignore emails and phone calls, we'll let you know but mostly conferences are the primary responsibility especially if they're catered. Free lunch.
The work of a diplomat is exhausting. Id say they do a whole lot more than “ignore phone calls and emails”. In many cases they are there to support citizens under distress. Its one of those positions where you wont even think about them until you need them. Then youll be thankful.
@@heymstraveler I'm fine for now. I was mostly interested in the consular fellow program. I realized that there are very little videos about that. Thank you.
Hey thanks for making these videos. Your content has been very helpful. I do have a question that you may be able to help me with. I applied to the Foreign Service Consular Fellow program. This requires a level of fluency in a foreign language, one of them being Spanish, which I am a speaker. I am scheduled to take my CFPT test this month but I cannot really find much information about this test or this particular job. I would appreciate any info you may have on this particular career field. Thank you for everything!
