I have been disconnected from my body for years and have had no awareness of whether my body is healthy or has any issues/discomfort. Recently, I started stretching and moving each morning followed by a seated meditation session. Anyway, by paying attention to my body I noticed that my spine felt slightly uncomfortable and generally not aligned and decided to check out some kundalini yoga as the word kundalini kept appearing in my life. To cut a long story short, I found out about kundalini yoga/awakening, found your videos and this is the second one of your practices I have completed. Hey Cassie and Jake! Tuning in with "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo", otherwise known as the "Adi Mantra" is a staple of Yogi Bhajan's lineage and originates from his connection with Sikhism. Whenever I teach one of his sequences I always teach to tune in with the Adi Mantra, out of respect to Yogi Bhajan and his tradition. However, as I am not Sikh and do not want to plagiarize in any way what Yogi Bhajan has created, when I teach my own classes or sequences from other lineages I do not teach to tune in in this way. If you however feel resonance with the Adi Mantra, or any other method of centering and connecting to the Divine within, do not hesitate to use such practice to start any class 🙏💞

No worries Em! I'm happy to be a part of it! It's funny, I've never received this question about the neck rolling before. And now you're the second person to ask this week! 😅 I do remember being taught the same as a child, in gym class. I don't know why they teach this, or who came up with it. I've never met someone who's injured their neck from rolling it back. And I personally have been rolling my neck all the way around for more than 10 years. So long as you do it with awareness and don't try to take off like a helicopter, I think you will be okay ;)
Unfortunately there is not just one magical practice that you can do for this. It is a life long journey to heal our childhood traumas. But if I could recommend anything specific that we have on the channel right now I would say check out Clelia's latest 10 day workshop, "10 Steps to Wholeness" or my 10 day challenge, "Love & Light". So basically, I believe what I am looking for on this new journey exploration is asana, I have learned in another video of dantian which was described as stick- for spine, basically I am working at healing and transcending stuck trauma which I know now begins deep in the root chakra, basically I have disalignment in general standing/seating and I am interested in how to pretty much send it back to the very basics of how to carry myself standing as well as seating properly upright and erect for free energy flow. I hope this makes sense! I would like to practice proper root to crown focus alignment to bring along with me through the future, with a confident strong yet flowing upright position! With the right intention and awareness anything can be used as a tool for meditation and spiritual awakening. However, if done purely mechanically no practice will offer many fruits. Also, we are all completely different beings so what offers a door to awakening for one may be completely different to another. For some it may be a talk, for some an experience, others a dream. For this reason there are so many different paths. This short class is intended more to offer a quick way to come back to the body, while at the same time toning the nervous system and keeping the spine flexible. And for some personalities that may be all it takes. In my experience, there are much more powerful practices to reach higher states of consciousness.. but again that's my experience

I have a really hard time doing it any other time of the day other than morning I’m pretty pretty forgetful and sometimes I don’t feel worse from not doing it because I got muscle pain I think I just need to work on some of habit changing then I could do it at night time again.

@@RefeelYoga well sometimes it is I’ve been researching that I should probably be eating smaller meals and eating cleaner. My diet hasn’t been the best I used to practice. Maya finnes I don’t think I spelled her last name, right journey through the chakras every single day and sometimes twice I had a lot more flexibility. My diet wasn’t too bad, but it could’ve been better than I was also able to do the splits, the morning will depend if I had a if I had a bunch of food last night I think I’ve been having a little trouble eating too late and too much and I end up with symptoms and can make it difficult to practice

Could you make a similar sequence I love this go to one when I need a little pick me up this is perf been using it for yrs lol but I learned doing new movements creates new neuropathways and helps build new energy channels so I was hoping for another good timed quick little spinal refresher bit! It's funny, I've never received this question about the neck rolling before. And now you're the second person to ask this week! 😅
I do remember being taught the same as a child, in gym class. I don't know why they teach this, or who came up with it. I've never met someone who's injured their neck from rolling it back. And I personally have been rolling my neck all the way around for more than 10 years. So long as you do it with awareness and don't try to take off like a helicopter, I think you will be okay ;)

Unfortunately there is not just one magical practice that you can do for this. It is a life long journey to heal our childhood traumas. But if I could recommend anything specific that we have on the channel right now I would say check out Clelia's latest 10 day workshop, "10 Steps to Wholeness" or my 10 day challenge, "Love & Light". I am sure both of these processes will greatly help you to shift some energy and remove at least a few old blockages.

I would like to make sure I have understood you correctly. Are you looking for a class focused on how to properly perform postures -such as alignment ques, do's an don'ts, contraindications, etc.- or just a class which focuses on the use of asana (posture) rather than kriya (action)?

So basically, I believe what I am looking for on this new journey exploration is asana, I have learned in another video of dantian which was described as stick- for spine, basically I am working at healing and transcending stuck trauma which I know now begins deep in the root chakra, basically I have disalignment in general standing/seating and I am interested in how to pretty much send it back to the very basics of how to carry myself standing as well as seating properly upright and erect for free energy flow. I hope this makes sense! I would like to practice proper root to crown focus alignment to bring along with me through the future, with a confident strong yet flowing upright position!

With the right intention and awareness anything can be used as a tool for meditation and spiritual awakening. However, if done purely mechanically no practice will offer many fruits.
Also, we are all completely different beings so what offers a door to awakening for one may be completely different to another. For some it may be a talk, for some an experience, others a dream. For this reason there are so many different paths.
This short class is intended more to offer a quick way to come back to the body, while at the same time toning the nervous system and keeping the spine flexible. And for some personalities that may be all it takes.
In my experience, there are much more powerful practices to reach higher states of consciousness.. but again that's my experience

I have a really hard time doing it any other time of the day other than morning I’m pretty pretty forgetful and sometimes I don’t feel worse from not doing it because I got muscle pain I think I just need to work on some of habit changing then I could do it at night time again.

@@RefeelYoga well sometimes it is I’ve been researching that I should probably be eating smaller meals and eating cleaner. My diet hasn’t been the best I used to practice. Maya finnes I don’t think I spelled her last name, right journey through the chakras every single day and sometimes twice I had a lot more flexibility. My diet wasn’t too bad, but it could’ve been better than I was also able to do the splits, the morning will depend if I had a if I had a bunch of food last night I think I’ve been having a little trouble eating too late and too much and I end up with symptoms and can make it difficult to practice
