Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for this video. I got inspired and purchased my running boards on Ebay and installed them today. Even though I had 3 pages; front and back; of explicit instructions, your video was much easier to follow and I was able to do it all myself. Me, a 65 year old woman laying under a Van drilling holes and installing running boards as the neighbors watched from across the street. My neighbor works on cars all the time and gave me a big smile and a thumbs up on the install. Too funny!!
FWIW I’m installing an iBoard running board(s) for a 2014 Ram Promaster. My instructions have you put the second, smaller support bracket on the outside of the pinch weld, rather than the inside. Probably doesn’t make much difference! But they might be easier to fit on the outer side. I haven’t looked yet (still on the sofa, reading)!
Ahhh … but on a 2014 Promaster, it may have to be done on the inside - so I’m glad I saw your video, or “inside” would not have occurred to me as an option. On the drivers side at least, there’s no way I can fit those brackets on the outside, even though I’d like to cuz that’s a much easier position to drill in! I haven’t gotten that far on the passenger side. Thanks for the video.
Most Excellent!! This was exactly what I was looking for as I am tired of trying to get in and out of my van without breaking my back or banging my knee. I use my Promaster to haul my stuff to and from festivals that I vend at. Thank you!!
I have one. I always have so much moving around when it is on my head 🤣. I will have to try it again. Thank you so much for watching these videos, I really appreciate it. ❤
What you are reading instructions? Oh no that is a break of the first rule. lol Very nice job on the install. Like I said you are the conversion van master. Thanks for sharing. You made that look really easy.
After doing the install the instructions looks a hint better but overall I feel sorry for the person not very handy tackling the job with those included instructions. I youtubed iboard promaster install and got nothing so I thought hmmmm... another video
Great Tutorial! This is going to help someone else who has to do the same install. I installed solid steps on my TT and the instructions were the same, photo copied onto regular paper. Hate that. Thanks for sharing.
Great instructional video!! One question... how high off the ground is the installed running board please? And also how far off the ground is the bottom of the Promaster? Thank you so much!
I hate when instructions aren't more in depth. Sometimes they seem to be printed like everyone should just know. I'm betting this tutorial is going to be great help to someone.
I just received my running boards and it seem to have threaded inserts instead the rubber plugs on the very front body area, for the large front brackets. I think I'm going to have to get some 8mm bolts instead of using the bolt plates...
Very nice!! It was crazy confusing to do this on my truck!! And the built in the back two supports wouldn’t screw in so I have only two brackets on either side. Are you still headed out today??
Do you have a video for installing the driver side board? I am trying to and it appears that the factory holes are too far apart for the mounting brackets. Was hoping to see a video of the driver side installation to see if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks
@@JonniesJourney thanks. There appear to be three factory drilled holes on the driver side. When I try to use the hole more to the front, the step is not long enough to reach the last hole. I installed using the 2nd and 3rd holes, which the step fits, however, it is further back than the passenger side. Not sure if they put holes in different places in the 2020 model
Most of everything you purchase these days don’t come with great directions. Its pretty much figure it out yourself. We will give you a general idea of how it goes. But you did an awesome job showing the install and it looks amazing. Were not talk either so we put steps on our Jeep as well. Thanks for sharing. Be safe friends.👏👏👏👍🥑🇺🇸
Hi Jonnie! Thank you for this video! Very informative! I tried to follow your affiliate link for these running boards, and it seems to be a broken link. Will you reply here with link? Thanks!

Awesome, glad it helped 🙂
I don’t know if you have one currently but maybe you should use a go pro you can just wear on your head. Lol. That would be so much easier for you.
I have one. I always have so much moving around when it is on my head 🤣. I will have to try it again. Thank you so much for watching these videos, I really appreciate it. ❤

Carol I am so sorry for late response. I will go measure tomorrow and get it up here for you.
@@JonniesJourney No worries Jonnie! Ty so much!

Instructions stink. Normally don't read them but I want this van to be the best. Hopefully this helps someone
Nice install 👍. I didn’t specifically hear it but was there a specific reason you chose these over other brands?
The solid black was a must. Very happy with the price and reviews.
I'm short, so running boards are very important. Good job on the install and step by step instructions, Jonnie. Looks great!
Thank you. Kelly is really happy with it

Yes we are... Saturday or Sunday?
Sunday would work better for me.
No one could ever know how important running boards are to someone 5 foot! ❤
I am 5'6 and I would want them anyway!!! LOL
I’m 5’7” and had to have them for my truck!!
They do make that step up so much easier. I'm 5'6.

I am so sorry I did not. but mine lined up perfectly. Wonder if maybe its the bracket that me be off.

you're exactly right. thank you so much for watching.
Thanks for the video. I just ordered my Iboards. Did you drill the hole through the spot weld or next to it?
i didn't drill through a weld. there is a recessed spot about the same size as the bit. that's were I drilled.
I agree the pictures are poor.
yep, and believe it or now many runny board companies are the same. Thanks for watching.
