Thanks so much for your video. It is the only detailed video I have found on the net for a 2000 silverado. Note: I had the same concerns for the emergency cable. I split a rubber gas hose and inserted it over the brake cable and then taped it down. Now the cable is protected. Thanks again.
You'll be happy with your purchase. I've had no problems with the parking cable. I use my parking brakes Evey single time I park (out of habit) and it hasn't chafed, frayed or gotten hung up.
Excellent video, that I'm sure saved me a fair amount of time and aggravation from having to go back over my work. Sincere thanks so much for making such a straight forward accurate instructional video!
This video is just what I needed. I have an 02 Silverado 1500. The instructions that came with the running boards are ok, but not 100% clear. Plus, none of my brackets were labeled. This is a great help. Thanks
Those two holes in the support bracket in the front on the driver's side, the reason your 8:12 bolt fits in the farthest hole is because you have a 1500 if you have a 2500 cuz the frame is a bit larger so it fits in the first bolt hole. The center support bracket goes in the upper hole above the emergency brake cable 9:02 So if anybody is wondering this same setup would fit on a Silverado 2500 HD 99 - 2006 and also on the 2500 HD 2007 classic, the newer models of Chevys and GMC has different bracket installation.
Good video, how are they holding up now after having them on for awhile? Debating on purchasing only thing that’s holding me back is the 1 year warranty.
6 year update. Starting to get a bit of peeling from the coating. But still holding up and rubber is still good. No ripping or wear on it. Still worth the purchase for 6 years of use.
awesome video Frank! Thanks for sharing :D

Will it work for a tahoe z71 2004
I couldn't answer that. I would think not, different body mount positions I think.
How wide are they
These are 4", they make 6" as well.
