    Thank you man! Just repaired my Stihl FSA 57 from battery stutter with just some canned air and a whiff of WD40. In those models the motor is on the mowing head-side though. It's just a small electromotor and some gears, so any dust or sand make it too hard for the motor.

      Sometimes it's just a simple fix and crap on the motor or connections can definitely stop them. Glad you're up and running 👍👍

    Aha, interesting one. Mt FSA 90 R completely stopped the other month was still under warranty so took it to the dealer and they just put a new motor in it haha. Good Job with the Videos, hopefully when I get a minute I'll start trying to make some too

    Give me an engine any day and I'll completely strip it and rebuild it, normally do a chainsaw or strimmer engine at the weekend.
    Been doing accounts, not cut a lawn for 8 weeks and everywhere is completely dead here so probably won't be for another 8!
    How did you get on with the gluing the magnets on, hold out?

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd
      @LewisgardenservicesLtd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if you've the skills to rebuild and enjoy using the petrol machines you definitely have no reason to make the swap to battery, I went to is for selfish reasons as I was falling apart with the weight and vibs off petrol. Glue them? I just pulled the crap ones out and carried on😅

      @@LewisgardenservicesLtd I do enjoy rebuilding and running 2 strokes alot, don't always enjoy the emissions tho especially the HL75 hedge trimming. Just rebuilt a couple Stihl 94's so probably put 1 on as far better on emissions especially being a bad asthmatic!🤣
      I remember you had loose magnets but forgot you ditched them, figured it wouldn't work properly with out them!

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd
      @LewisgardenservicesLtd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you've nothing to lose and it's not working carefully take it apart and look for anything obvious. Look/ corroded connections and debris in motor/ switches. Anymore more complicated is out of my league. Good luck and cheers 👍

      Tried that. The only place I cannot get into is motor housing as the screw has corroded over time and I can't get it out.
      If the motor has burnt out ( it never smelt as though it had though) so it's uneconomical to get it fixed.
      Thanks for trying to help.

The initial investment is big there's no denying that , but as you've just said you do claw it back over time and then start to make a saving.
