My husband does UX/UI and he loves it. He’s encouraged me to try the field and do UX research. He says it’s not complicated and the field wants people with a research background. I have a counseling degree and I wouldn’t get another degree to do UX/UI. Apply and go for it, it sounds like you have more experience than you think in UX research.
