I have no experience in the UX field other than the projects I completed after the course.

I jumped on this video immediately I saw the title. I recently just started the UX designer course by Google for a career change and I've just been seeking some kind of inspiration to keep going. Thank you for this!

Youre very young, so internship is a good thing. It shows that your trying that you're motivated. I liked your video. Im in course 2 of Coursera. Im also adding the graphic design program to my list as I feel like it cant hurt to have more under my belt.

I also thought about how companies might not give internship opportunities to older people..I'm in my 40s
@@bewellbyjiwookim7678 Im in two internships currently and in both places there are interns from 20s - 50s. A lot of them are career changers or have been doing mostly freelance stuff. I think it is possible but I do understand that age can be an issue. There is a website where you can be a volunteer UX designer that is for all ages and you can still gain the same experience!

I'm self teaching UX Design and was actually considering the Google course because bootcamps are really expensive here in Toronto. I have a friend that took the course too and his con was that the course basically teaches you the "Google" way of doing things in which they do things a bit differently compared to industry standards. Have you come across this or heard this as well?
Hi Carlos yeah honestly you should go for it and I just made a new video addressing your question. So thank you for asking that!! But to answer they probably do but it doesn't come in the way of doing your work for another brand.

I know it truly does suck that we have to find these different routes I kinda see it as an investment for myself but we definitely need better options!

How much was the course, I believe you said $40/month. But overall, how much did you spend on the course?; or do you get charge $40/month until you finish ?
Yeah its based on your speed so if you finish in 2- 3 months then you can spend like $80 - $120

hey How are you? I have a question. Can you please answer this question whenever you have time "I am in my 2nd course in the UX Google Design Certificate Program, I am curious that in further courses. Will they teach UI Design principles and Figma or Adobe XD? or should I take a different course to learn all of this UI related Stuff?" I don't want to waste my time until this is finished. Hi, i've took two courses on udemy but they didnt explain me about the user journey and personas very deeply so my question is do you really think that the soft skill are a must for landing a ui ux job?
As long as you know how to use it and its importance. A lot of the design is centered around what people want and like so it is important to know. But you can just read articles and watch videos to understand. If you know the concept I think you should be fine.
