- Scream VI as a movie absolutely broke me. As a long-term Scream fan, this was something I wasn't expecting to happen again with any of the new movies. After being royally disappointed with Scream 2022, I didn't approach this movie with any expectations. Despite me having some positives about the movie, I have my issues as well and in today's video, I'm going to be breaking all of this down for you guys.

They need to stop stabbing characters multiple times in ways that would cause instant death and them just getting up and walking away. It’s literally insane.
When Dewey came back in Scream 2 he was at least injured and limping and had nerve damage. Does internal bleeding no longer exist in this franchise?
Like, it’s getting straight up stupid.
U can survive multiple stab wounds a woman survived 37 stab wounds and recovered. A slenderman stabbing survivor survived 17 stab wounds. So theres ways to survive.

The way people keep saying that what happened to Chad is something common in the franchise makes me terribly annoyed. You're right, Dewey got severely wounded and survived, but he was never the same - not mentally, not physically. Chad got severely wounded in 5 and only got a small scar. Then, in 6, he got deeply stabbed by two killers at the same time, at least a dozen of times, all over his body, just to survive in a light-hearted, almost comical moment in the ending like this is "Scary Movie" or some parody of Scream. And all these dickriders with recency bias still want to defend this stupid decision, cause God forbid 6 from having flaws and being worse than the other movies in any single aspect...
@@Matthew-ij3zm its actually true look it up. Its more common than you think. Some have had deep wounds and lived. U can survive a gunshot wound to the head a throat slit so yea theres way to survive.
@@Matthew-ij3zm even though I agree that people should’ve been killed off, it’s not completely unrealistic. There was a movie made about a woman who was stabbed 30 times essentially disemboweled and almost decapitated, and she held her own intestines & head in and crawled out of her house into the street so someone could find her. And she lived. So just saying it’s possible.
What I love about Scream VI and lacked in the previous Scream installments… is that Sidney was the only person who they focused trauma on. scream VI did an amazing job showing that everyone was processing trauma differently. Sam’s character has so many layers and I’m interested in how they move forward with Scream VII.
The only flaws I have in the movie is how Quinn faked her death so easily and how chad survived. Another small flaw I had is how easy it was to tell Ethan was ghostface. When he got revealed as ghostface, I really wasn’t surprised. If Ethan was in the apartment when ghostface starting attacking everyone, it would make his ghostface reveal more shocking.
I felt the Detective was so obvious before the movie even came out with the trailers suggesting whoever the Ghostface was had some training in hand to hand combat and using a shotgun. but I also know they like to throw red herrings

Same. Although I knew the cop was Ghostface first because he kept trying to stop Sam and Tara from doing something to help especially after Quinn’s “death”. Ethan ended up talking too much for me so I figured he was a killer too
Well, Ethan technically was in the apartment during that scene.
Mindy running up in the last scene felt so strange to me, because there's no way Mindy would've even been able to run that soon after the subway scene. Also I hate to say this because I care about both Chad and Mindy but I think in honor of Scream 2 one of them should've been written off.
(Also random but I thought they did a good job this time, at making Chad feel like the new Dewey.)
I loved when Danny stood in front of Sam on the subway. Sam was acting was amazing in this I liked how in the end when they was taunting her saying she was a killer like her dad & she screamed NO IM NOT! You can literally feel her emotions through the TV.
Chad was great in this movie too.

That’s what I m saying the fact that they established her as special as Sydney is incredible a lot of franchises would’ve bombed without there so called best character kudos to them for making me forget about Sydney in a good way I love that I left scream 6 invested in sam as much as I am in Sydney

i liked Sam in Scream (2022) but here is where she really shines, Melissa proved why she's leading this franchise and i couldn't be more happy for her after all the hate she got from the last movie

I imagine a lot of the characters will be suffering from some sort of nerve damage going into Scream 7 like Dewey did in 5 if they want to keep the realism in this franchise consistent…
People (Annika and a couple others over the years) walked around with their guts hanging out, no one's watching for realism

I actually thought this family of killers seeking revenge on Sam was a much better motive than Richie and Amber just being crazy fans of a movie franchise. And these 3 killers seemed more demented than Richie, I thought he was lame. As for the "Core Four", I liked them so much more in this movie.
The part where Bailey is standing there with Ghostface to his right (our left), and then the second one shows up to his opposite side was instantly iconic.

Felt they didn’t use Kirby enough. Definitely felt disconnected with Gale. Both characters should have a few more scenes, but I’m hoping they use them in 7 better

Haven't seen enough people point out how scary the opening was. There were two sets of ghost face killers who were planning the next killing spree! It's almost like the movie within a movie within a movie Scream 4 opening, except it's "real life" in terms of the Scream universe.
I didn’t think it was scary. It was also massively flawed. How did Bailey, Quinn and Ethan know that Jason and Greg were planning to finish what Richie started?

@@1bwash But it still doesn't make sense. Why would Ghostface (or someone pretending to be Ghostface) put something like that online for the entire world to find out. That kinda foils the plan of Bailey trying to frame Sam for the murders, when in fact, by this logic, everyone should already know about the attacks that happened if it's available online, not to mention how ppl should've known the identity of the guys who were attacking everyone.
@@arezen210able It does make sense and if you don't think so, then you would have to go all the way back and say that Scream 2 doesn't make sense either because that's exactly how Mickey and Mrs. Loomis met.
@@1bwash Scream 2 doesn't make sense, it's the dumbest storyline in the series. If you like it... Cool... But scream6 doesn't have a believable storyline, although it was a good movie, up until the end.
I can handle most things that happen in this franchise, but I can't handle the stress of Gale dying 😂. I hope they don't kill her in the next one or ever.

Detective Bailey chasing Sam with a gun and her chasing into him with no weapon was so ridiculous.

I love Anika so much, i'm disappointed that she died (and that she's not the other ghostface), but i'm glad she got one of the most brutal deaths in the franchise💯💯
They should have shown Kirby with a bulletproof vest on at the end like she got shot a few times.
I've seen every TH-camrs review now and I have to say your description of why the killers don't work was the most accurate thing I've ever heard about them so far. Well done my friend 👍🏻

Has anyone noticed, in the theatre scenes, when you see all the Ghostface costumes worn by previous Ghostfaces pay attention as it's an Easter Egg to Scream 2. It's a nod to the part in Scream 2 when Sidney is on stage as Helen Of Troy and she's surrounded by the cast of the play who are all wearing masks and robes.
Melissa def had acting classes. cs her acting in scream 5 was so surface level.. now she can effortlessly show emotion
One of the biggest mistakes that I personally didnt notice but my brother pointed that out to me is the fact that when Sám and Tara are out in the park it is a broad day light but Gale’s chase scene looks like it is midnight :D I have no idea how long it takes to get from that park to where Gale lives (in real life) but this kinda looks like hours and hours passed by between that call and Gale’s phone call 😂

And also why wouldn't they ring Gale straight away. This daylight to night happened in 5 too when they go from Sheriff Judy's to the hospital
I loved it! I absolutely agree it brought new life to the franchise. Any issues I have with it aren't big enough to dismantle the incredible experience I had with it and the amazing character development of the Core Four. I do think Scream 7 will move on from OG Legacy and really step into its own. I think Scream 7 is going to be a psychological slasher and will probably be the biggest departure of all of them. I do think the Core Four will be the faces of Scream 7 along with Kirby playing the biggest role of a legacy character. I am looking forward to seeing what they do with the story.
It definitely includes stuff 5 was lacking. A bit rushed though with the climax and Gale going back to Uber Bitch(maybe over Duey)
But hopefully 7 is the best of the trilogy.

@Tigerlord I do think she will be so changed by her attack and GF call that she won't be so up in the next attacks
Oh yeah and I think the motive in Scream 7 is to make Sam snap. Given her issues with her psychiatrist and others.

I was having anxiety with Gales chase scene. She was so close to getting away without that last stab by Ghostface with that piece of glass.
I loved the movie regardless.
These Ghostfaces were very weak as characters.
Problem is the killers with mask on act scary badass but without the mask I didn't get the same feeling they felt too whiny for the kills they did
Plot wise in regards to the framing of Sam, it’s not a literal law enforcement framing of Sam they seemed to be aiming for. It was more about destroying her life in the court of public opinion. We have seen how this can happen in the real world to people
What I Didn't Like
I felt the third act was lazy the last movie third act was way better and the motive was just a copy and paste of Mrs. Loomis motive just a sick parent getting revenge on those that was involved in their child death and speaking on Mrs. Loomis I didn't like that Sam didn't even acknowledge Mrs. Loomis who is her grandmother was also a Ghostface Ethan mentioned Mrs. Loomis but Sam only want to acknowledge her father as Ghostface you had two family members as Ghostface. Also Tara and Chad becoming a couple I don't know if I like yet and the fake outs wasn't really done all that good and I felt the excuse of Sidney whereabouts in going into hiding after hearing news Ghostface is back a little bit contradict her role in the last movie.
What I Did Like
Despite me not liking the motive at all however I do like that the motive has nothing to do with Billy and Stu and I really thought the motive had ties to Stu actually but anyway this the first time the motive revolves around another Ghostface the story revolves around Richie basically he's Billy and his father is Mrs. Loomis with help from Richie brother and sister and we see Richie and Amber motive which I thought was weak about them trying to make their own movie but we see they have followers of that motive trying to finish what they started so we see they made a lot of waves with their motive.
It's a decent movie Scream do not have a single bad installment and 3 is included that's not a bad movie neither but this new installment I'm in between with this and the last movie the tension was really high in this film this time and Sam, Tara, Mindy and Chad are a lot more developed in this movie even though I wish Mindy was killed off but compared to the first time we were introduced to them they got better development but I got to watch this movie at leat two more times seen it twice already but I need more view on it.
Let me say that I really enjoyed Scream 6 due to 3 sequences that I thought were shot very well. The bodega scene, the train scene, Gale’s attack. The bodega and train scenes were my favorites because I had no clue what was going to happen strictly because how they shot them
Honestly, I guessed the cop and the nerd being the killers very early. I never would’ve guessed 3 so that was new but the reveal came to me very easily
I don't know about anybody else, but I loved the little knod to 'Friday the 13th: Jason Goes to Manhattan' at the beginning of the film when the dude was watching the TV lmao
For what it's worth, when Demi Lovato released the song STILL ALIVE weeks before the movie came out, I knew none of them were gonna die.
There’s quite a couple of plot holes in this movie that kinda take away from the movie. Like during the apartment scene if Quinn faked her death and her room was in full view how did the guy not notice, the cop says later he swapped out the body um how/that wouldn’t work since forensics would know the body is fake, if they had won how were they gonna explain that quinn was still alive, the amount of fake out deaths this movie like Chad or Mindy should’ve died even tho I like them all. With all that being said I really enjoyed the movie the pros outweigh the negatives and it sits as my 3rd fav scream movie since it gave me everything I wanted.
Macro Beltrami needs to score the 7th one. He scored the Gale chase scene in the 6th one.
I'm still a massive fan of this franchise but i'm getting really annoyed with the amount of damage the characters are taking and they're just walking it off afterwards. Not even holding the multiple stab wounds while they do other stuff. Dewey made sense because they answered that with the scar tissue in Scream 2. Then when he was stabbed twice in 2022 I think we all knew he was dead. But now, I think the most ridiculous was Chad, I couldn't even count how many stab wounds he received. I'm glad the character is alive but that was just a stab frenzy. I guess Tara was the same in 2022 but at least that's just one character. Now it seemed like everyone got stabbed early on and then carried on like nothing happened throughout the rest of the film. Nevertheless I still love each film for all different reasons and It was still a lot better than I had expected. I hope Scream 7 just dulls down the amount of injuries and heightens the threat of the few injuries they actually get
Honey people can survive a lot of stabbings it’s not unrealistic and actually since in real life people can survive 30 stabs too in real cases.
Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to say it's unrealistic. But I assume statistics would show plenty more people would die of fewer stabbings. In my own town over the years I'd say there have been 5 or more stabbings and a few have been only once. I only know one person who actually survived. I just think the more people we see on screen who get butchered but live is getting to be too many. Or at least react to being stabbed even once. Tara got stabbed in the back and in the stomach and near the end of the film she sits down and has a chat with Sam as if she isn't injured. Not to mention the injuries Sam had too

How did you feel about Sam’s final kill? There’s just something about her putting her full body into the rapid stabs. It’s like she doesn’t want to stop. Makes me want her to become an actual different kind of Ghostface.

Even the actress said that she wants to become Ghostface in the next one but finds it sort of unlikely.
Heres a fun little theory. In Scream 5 when ghost face calls Tara, he says he knows Christine from group(this is Tara and Sams mother right?). He says Christines told him she loves scary movies and that stab is her favourite.
Im thinking there is some truth to this. Maybe ”group” is the subreddit where Richie met Amber. It is weird for Christine to love a movie based on murders her classmates comitted. Not to mention it also was her classmates who got murdered.
Obviously Christine went to high school with Sidney, Billy, Stu and the rest. We never meet her, not even in scream 6. My hopes are that she and alive Stu will be revealed as the masterminds in scream 7, just like Roman in scream 3.
Personally I loved Scream 6 it’s up there for me when it comes to sequels but it still doesn’t top 2 imo. I respect anyone who disagrees with me as for the Opening and the killer reveals I thought they were both good. My only problem with the movie is that when a person gets stabbed by some miracle they end up still being alive. Like don’t get me wrong I love Chad but he should’ve died when was getting stabbed by Quinn & Ethan. The cast was great especially Melissa & Jenna and as a New Yorker they got nyc right imo. When I went to the movies during the final act the crowd was going crazy even me and my older brother it’s easily one of the best movie theater experiences I’ve ever been in. So that enhances my opinion with it and that’s all my thoughts about Scream 6 but overall one of the best scream movies imo.
Finally watched it! I was bummed about the killer reveal and motive - too similar to Scream 2, so my expectations were subverted there in the wrong way. Overall I liked it and look forward to VII and agree with your POV!

I love Wes and Kevin but after Randy’s death in Scream 2, they didn’t take anymore risks. I mean, I’m perfectly fine with it because we had the trio for 5 movies. But if they want to keep the core 4 alive, just don’t go so hard with the attacks. Still loved the movie! 1,2,3,6,5,4

Overall I loved the movie. I think the opening scene deserves the Chef’s kiss. It was so different & chilling. I also loved how it felt like you could killed anywhere @ anytime. When Ghostface popped up & grabbed Tara on the sidewalk was so out of nowhere. I think the character development was really good. You cared about the “Core 4” as opposed to Scream 5 where you kinda only cared about Sam, Tara & the legacy characters. We finally got anothe Gale chase scene. I think that was great because we had been asking for that since Scream 2, so I’m glad Radio Silence gave the fans that. It also felt like Gale could die @ any moment in that situation more so than in Scream 2. I loved the shrine, it brought back a nostalgia feeling plus I think it was eerie seeing all that stuff from the 90’s all the way up to the 2022 movie. I do think the final scene could of had more action & I also think Detective Bailey should of did more in that scene just simply cause he was obviously the mastermind behind all this & he also is just the most capable & believable. Not mad @ his kids helping. After seeing Jill, Amber, & Charlie as Ghostface I just roll with the punches lol. (Side note: I think Mrs. Loomis is very believable as Ghostface, just sumn about her) I do like it was reminiscent of Scream 2 where the parent took revenge just the Dad instead of the Mom this time. I do think Chad surviving was very unbelievable. Not that I’m upset he survived cause Chad had great character development in this one but like you said in real life that most likely not happening. Plus if they did kill him I think It would of pulled some strings @ the heart on the emotional side because of how he developed plus how him & Tara had a thing & how protective he was over her this time around. Overall an awesome movie though. Can’t wait to see where the franchise goes from here. Also another dope video man, keep ‘em comin 🤟🏾
Pretty much agree with your analysis. I was shocked at how many characters got seriously wounded and were fine. Especially Chad. The other thing I didn't get is why Ethan saves Mindy on the subway platform? Couldn't he have let her die and take her phone to text Chad?

Honestly I think it’s mostly the climax that’s the issue. Rushed to finish and start marketing.
Need a more detailed killer reveal done properly for 7.

In Scream 5 they weren’t together. They had been divorced for a while after Dewey left her in NY. It’s plausible that she would be dating someone even after his death.
ALTERNATE ENDING SCENARIO. I posted this on a couple channels, let me know what you guys think.
Scream VI has probably the most ruthless Ghostface but most horrible killers with them repeating the motive from Scream 2. The Killers of this one should have been a reflection of the carpenter sisters.
It all could have changed if they just had two Ghostfaces in New York working separately with two entirely different agendas. Kirby & Ethan.
Kirby a Ghostface hunting down Stab fanatics. Her punishing all copycat killers who worship the death of her friends would be strongly supported by the opening kills, the deaths of two Stab fanatics. Actually giving credit to the line: "WHO GIVES A F#@K! ABOUT MOVIES?!"
Kirby wants the Stab craze to die, just as much as Tara does. Kirby telling Tara there is no way out and that this is her life now, but Tara telling her it may be her life, but Kirby made it her prison before killing her.
Ethan a Ghostface, just as deranged as Richie and Amber were, but just much more quiet and disturbing. He doesn't care about Stab, he doesn't know why he's in college, and he doesn't even know why he kills. It was just something he got away with once in New York, and just kind of got addicted to it... He puts on the mask, and it's like he can finally scratch that itch that he keeps getting.
He tells Sam, she's the only one that can relate to him. Slicing someone's skin for the first time and wondering when they'll ever get the chance to do it again. Sam agrees that she is a psycho too, but she's also a sister, a daughter, a friend, a girlfriend, and a survivor. And he's nothing, nothing but a killer, before she kills him.
Just my take. Please let me know what you guys think if this was the ending we could got.
After the reveal I wish detective Bailey would’ve acted more like Hoffman from the saw franchise rather than a cartoon villain
I loved this movie this in my opinion is one of the best sequels to scream I have seen but Jill is going to be for ever my favourite Ghostface!!!

Quinn and Ethan could've acted more crazy pulling tara or sam's hair pinning them up talking while lashing out or laughing some mannerisms we seen in the previous screams especially the first scream in the reveal

It's like Sam story just gonna be a recycle of Sidney story like both Sidney and Sam boyfriends were the killers and in the sequels of their stories then one of their boyfriends parent seeking vengeance on them the third installment for Sam might end up having her go into hiding like Sidney did and somewhere in the story we find out Sam and Tara mother had another child but gave them up and we learn Sam had a twin brother trying to kill her and was the mastermind behind the first two events regarding her and then the fourth installment we find out Sam have a cousin and they trying be famous off of her and the next film Sam pass on the torch to a newbie so they go through the same thing we have seen already.
That's why they're requels, not sequels.

I believe Danny is the first Ghostface not to be revealed and gets to be in another movie. Even though he was great for the little he was on screen I still think he is Ghostface or just a actor who gets close to the main characters just to star in a good Stab movie. Since in that universe the Stab movies became shit in the later installments.
I actually think the plot armor was on purpose to give us that feeling of invincibility, like the original trio. The more characters there are the harder it is to make us believe you can't kill them. Making them have that feel brings them closer to what we know from the original Scream movies and makes us somewhat sure of "Oh, they're not gonna die". I think that's why they did it they way they did, especially with like Mindy attacks (wounds), but also Chad ( but I feel like possibly he was meant to die. Although it's highly debatable). That's also why I feel certain one of them is gonna die in the next one and if it's not a trilogy, then after the third one it's pretty confirmed. Like going into the third one, I feel like they have us secured with that impression, but at the same time they might do it for one more movie (since for 7th movie I'm pretty sure many people are actually still gonna expect at least one of them to die and feel scared for them), to give us more of that feeling and make it have bigger impact, especially since after the death of just one it's gonna start looking real grim real quick and scary again. Also there might be other plot reasons, considering the original first sequel, trends and such
They won't kill Gail until Sydney comes back! Gail was always safe for 6 in my opinion. As soon as they showed her close call in the trailer, =safe
I honestly loved the film, yea it might have it’s problems like some of the characters didn’t died or the reveal and motive of the killers weren’t good but I thought it was interesting but with a few plot holes, but Ghostface was a badass in this, and that opening is amazing for me it’s a 9/10

I personally think they kept Chad and Mindy alive because of the huge mistake of killing Randy in the second movie. I think it's like a kudos to the fans. Also Chad, who they mark as an "Alpha Male Jock" is actually really funny, like his sister, like his uncle. He is kind and protective, a great male character to have in any franchise. I think the perfect blend of Dewy and Randy.
I think they made Tara and Chad an item because Randy never got the girl, and that was a huge plot point to his character, his pining for Sidney. Also, for future films Tara and Chad can be the romance that the audience can follow along with, Like it was for Gale and Dewey.
I just hope they don't make Chad a cop in any future installment.
I honestly loved Scream 5 and I loved Scream 6. I like that they're coming new main characters. Don't get me wrong I love Sydney, Gale and Dewey, but we needed new faces. Also Sam, Tara, Mindy and Chad are a pretty good squad!
The plot armor is definitely going to fall off in the next film, I love Chad and Mindy they’re quite literally what i’ve always wanted from a main line slasher franchise! But they’re not going to live next movie if that’s the end of the trilogy radio silence has inevitably planned.
I’m not a fan of the last act, so much so it kinda makes me wish, we’d just followed Jason and Greg’s plan. The opening did something I didn’t think was possible, it made me interested in following a couple of Stab fan’s trying to finish Richie’s movie. It took a Hitchcockian risk, by showing us one of Ghostface’s identities and could have used that as a tool for ratcheting up tension the rest of the movie.
It’s easy to imagine either Jason or Greg as the graffiti artist at the Shrine, probably Greg. Or one of them pouring over old chats and private messages with Stabhead (Richie). Trying to work out the unknown details of his movie and how to finish it off.
The Shrine I think is also easier to accept if it’s not tied to Richie or his family. I just can’t buy Det. Bailey stealing all that over 6 month, changing their names, moving, creating backgrounds that will stand up to a background checks and not being recognized by an FBI agent with a file on Richie or the women who wrote the book on him. A couple of rich kids from Atlanta and an unknown number of internet friends is a lot harder to poke holes in.
The movie does have good visuals, set pieces and I will say Melissa did a great job, the high point of the movie being, Sam and Tara’s relationship and it’s growth.
Worst of the franchise. Reveal was embarrassing and the whole film was a poorer version of scream 2. The opening was not nearly as clever as it thinks it is and could’ve been done much better. By moving the scene from the alley to the apartment, they diffused any tension they built. Gail was pointless and reverted back to scream 2 Gail and Kirby was pointless and under used. Mindy was really annoying this time round and Chad was pointless. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you enjoyed it then great, but as a lifelong fan of the franchise, I was majorly disappointed. I personally don’t think that radio silence have any idea about how to write/make a scream movie. Neve Campbell’s absence is apparent and without her, they are clutching at straws for a reason for any Ghostface at all. They’re so focused on pushing new characters, that they are disrespecting Neve Campbell/Sidney. Radio silence need to pay her what she wants and try and save this franchise in its finale. Two things I did like: Sam and Tara and the ladder scene, but that was literally it. All in all, it was sooo disappointing and to me, a scream movie in name only!!!

ive been avoiding everything scream to go to the movies totally oblivious about everything. i loved the movie. loved gale, and ghostface. tara and samantha were great. chad, kirby and Mindy are less cool but still cool. i had so much fun! tiny bit disappointed that sidney didn't get a line but now I'm convinced she will return in the future.
I could definitely see Detective Bailey being the Ghostface in the bodega, especially because it’s clear that that Ghostface is familiar with firearms

There are cases of people who have been stabbed more than 30 times and survived. A man even survived a knife through the head. It is very possible and realistic for Chad to have survived because it happens in real life. All you have to do is pull up news articles. That being said, Chad still should have died. Not necessarily because of his wounds but for story sake.
I think Scream 7 needs to unify the old and new eras of scream and shift the focus back to Sidney as the main target. Have her face ghostface once more with higher stakes, have her with the core four and gale and maybe kirby facing a more classic style ghostface, one that encompasses all that came before with ties to the past. Take it back to basics with phone calls for most kills, big chase scenes etc. But incorporating the modern horror commentary and modern culture/technology. Make no character safe, kills which hurt the characters and audience when we lose them. Make one final scream film that has the essence of the original three. Shocking killer reveal, do something unexpected that makes sense. Not just bring in a family who want revenge for their psychotic brother.
...oh and if Kirby surived lets bring back Jennifer Jolie 🤣
Neve Campbell isn't coming back, she made that clear. She wasn't paid enough and felt undervalued. Focusing on her at this point is kinda pointless imo. Sam and Tara are the new focus.

It's a safe bet to say the 7th entry will be the last (unless they milk it) and you can't end without Sidney. Any time someone talks about plot armor in this movie the image of blood gushing out of Dewey's mouth in Scream 2 appears in my head. Not to mention the swiss cheese stomach Gail's bound to have

I think they wanted to make the movie not predictable by having most of the main character survive as people including myself were expecting them to sue like in the original trilogy.

The subway scene was boring and we already knew what was happening due to the trailers. Gales fight scene was the only scene tht had me literally heart racing and my hands over my eyes.
This movie was far better than I thought it would be. Ghostface was so intimidating. I feel like the shrine idea was so incredibly wasted though. 😢
The movie has a lot of heart with the Core Four, and they're great, and so is Kirby, but overall, it lacks a soul. Sid's absence was felt. For me, anyway. It was felt deeply. Same with Dewey. I missed him so much. Gale is amazing but she felt really lonely and alone in this one.
I hope Scream 7 brings the characters from the first two seasons of scream the TV series in somehow, even if they're not the main characters. Blend it all together and go in a complete different direction. Have ghostface be truly evil and kill almost everybody, like Freddy at the end of Nightmare part 2. Have ghostface be the original person behind the mask who inspired Roman. Somehow he knows Brandon James and while many people imitated him throughout the years, he was always in the background and was totally the one who said to Kieran, who told you, you could wear my mask.
The fact that Detective Bailey had me briefly doubt my Kirby was brilliant.
I really loved the movie, but for me the main issue, and it was a big one for me, was how they had Quinn and Wayne openly talk about a dead brother/son at the beginning of the movie.
Myself and a friend both saw it together and we both looked at eachother as soon as it was mentioned and we didn’t even need to say anything, just a look, we knew straight away the dead brother/son was Richie and they were his family making them the killers. It was completely unnecessary and basically a spoiler to anyone with common sense, ESPECIALLY as this movie was mirroring 2 quite intensely and 2’s killer was literally also the previous Ghostface’s Parent on a revenge mission.
We would’ve understood the end of the movie without the “ahh, they were talking about RICHIE earlier” moment and we didn’t need it to be spoon-fed. Other than that, I really liked it. Roll on 7!
Before I watched scream vi and saw this thumbnail I thought it was showing that anika was the killer and I was shocked but then watched scream vi and realized this video meant something else
Bring back Dewey and bring back Sydney and give Gail more screen time….. otherwise after watching it a second time I liked it

Here’s what the problem is. I truly think that both The Fans and Radio Silence misunderstood what Scream and the Original 3 movies were. Scream was a SATIRE, not a SPOOF. Scream 1, 2, and 3 are satire. Scream 4, 5, and 6, are spoofs. The original 3 occupied some version of realism. The second Both Sidney and Kirby were stabbed in life threatening places and still lived, Scream 4 transformed into something silly. Two characters were stabbed in the neck, and die instantly…Tara, Chad, and Richie are stabbed MULTIPLE times in the chest and stomach, still breathing. When the in universe defy our REAL universe logic, the film is no-longer a satire, it’s a spoof.
Most of the complaints for this movie could EASILY be applied to all the other movies, especially the original trilogy. Ghostface disappearing like magic (cop car in scream 2), plot armor (Dewey getting attacked and surviving every movie) like c'mon 😂
Except it's ridiculous in this film, no way in hell that Chad and Gale could survived their attacks.
Yes there’s plot armor in the other films but not to this extent. This movie took plot armor to a whole different level

but like, Dewey only had a stab at his back in Scream 1. For the 2nd movie he got stabbed h3lla bunch but the consequences of those injuries were apparent in 3, 4 and 5 with his limping and nerve damage. Chad on the other hand is perfectly fine? Even when he was on the stretcher during the ending he was flirting with Tara like, shouldn’t you be unconscious from all those stab wounds and blood loss?

I loved this film. I’m like you.. I didn’t enjoy the 5th film at all. This was a pleasant surprise!
I think each killer was supposed to have there own little side qualities, obviously they all wanted revenge but the dad came off as wanting to kill them but also needing to justify his actions like when he killed the opening murderers, Quinn absolutely felt like she was furious about her brothers death and there’s no doubt in my mind she was the killer at the store, and than Ethan felt like a little sibling, as if he enjoyed the killing and saw it like a game, such as when he killed Anika and toyed with her on the ladder.
Quinn 100% was not the killer at the store. Between the 3 only a police detective could've killed those 3 grown men so easily and then manage to hold and use the gun with such effencity.
Don't understand 2 things about scream fans:
1) why do they hate scream3 so much?
2) why do they love kirby reed so much?
I think you are neglecting a couple points: they took risks when they killed off Dewey. Chad took severe damage in S5 and survived that, aswell.. Tara, too! We’ve seen Ghostfaces under Wes’s helm survive some severe damage before being finished off. And they’re trying to make it seem like it’s a lot harder to kill someone than it is in our reality, as a means to bring back Stu. I’m telling you, they’re bringing back Stu! And I’m a guy that always said Stu died and he’s my favorite ghostface! Just check out Radio Silence’s recent interviews and the Easter Eggs/references in S5/S6, that’s their PLAN.

Absolutely loved the movie!! I’ve had the same gripe as mostly everyone else; too many survivors.
This movie was almost as emotional as Scream 5. Going forward there is so much on the line. I wanna see a Mrs. Loomis vision, also Sid and Mark, Martha and possibly Joel.
I still love this movie it’s crazy and funny and ridiculous and over the top and pure fun. If you put this much thought into other scream movies there’s stuff there that wouldn’t make sense.
I think about this and the double standards people have.
The original is my favorite horror movie of all time but if people complain that the Ghostface reveals are predictable or their plan doesn't make sense why is it only reserved for the sequels and not the original?
You had to be pretty much brain dead to not know that Billy was in on it and how does their plan make sense? They would get caught out in a couple of hours of investigation.
Dna technology existed in 1996. As much as I love Wes Craven and his franchise, people claim that the new movies are terrible in comparison and the Wes Craven movies were far superior. But he made the two worst sequels according to most people. I love them all though.

This movie was so perfect on the first watch, but I’m sure it won’t be as good the more I rewatch it. The opposite of the rest of the series.
I’m pissed, because like I said. It’s a good movie, only if you can switch off your brain. And I loved watching Scream movies wondering and letting myself be taken by the story. I wasn’t able to once in this one, after the first half of the opening scene. Unbelievable, right? And the movie NEVER felt like Scream, not once. And every time they tried to put elements reminiscent of that, it sounded off and dishonest. I hate how they plan a scream 7 already, with the same team that destroyed its aura. The franchise feels so tacky and commercial now, ugh…
Are we gong to also use the Core 4 now? Sigh. Plot armor is nice.
