Its a really niche build ^^ but go ahead and try it out. The most important thing is that fits to your playstyle :) you dont have to be a meta slave!! :)
so you want a class that is good in every form of content :D staff/bow is good for large scale and PVE. staff/dagger is good in PVP but not so good in PVE...it will be always like this...
In your opinion do you think its likely that sns/wand (paladin) will reliably fufil the role of both tank and healer, and free up a spot for an additional dps? Is this likely to become meta?
From my point of view NO! I think a tank + healer + 4 DPS is way better... because usually you dont play a healer only for heal... the healer will deal also crazy damage ^^ and having a tank (SNS&GS) is just insanely strong because he can buff his group so good :) If you want min/max stuff in PVE you will play a good heal and a good Tank + 4 DPS
Thats really an good Video, but now i had to Choose between Greatsword and Dagger or Greatsword and Staff, well u didnt listed GS+Staff so its that bad?
If you're not too focused on the "meta" and just want to have fun. Then go for what ever build you want to enjoy. At the end of the day it's your time and enjoyment that is important.
thanks mate. I am really not a xbow/dagger expert but the most important stats for dealing more damage are for sure Attack Speed and Heavy Attack Chance. If you are talking about base stats then you should focus on "dexterity". hope that helps :)
What's funny is I use staff and daggers, with my dagger being my defense and staff my offense heavily aggressive with burning stacks so I can using fireball barrage to its max potential of shooting over 20+ fireballs destroying my enemies. So PvE isn't an issue if you know how to build it right.
If i want to do a niece combo like, dagger and wand because I tend to play off meta, how do you think it'll do in pvp and pve and if it struggle in one to much when you get a third weapon what should i pair one with the other with so I can have wand and dagger and another combo for pve/pvp(what ever it struggle more with)
wand/dagger is for sure viable but it is still a niche combo. its better in small scale then large scale pvp. But you can still find a way to make it viable everywhere. but its for sure harder to play then other combos

But for the other 3 I like the concept of being more of a spell blade are there any advantages that the wand or staff offer that xbow doesn’t?
i'll go for SNS/Dagger ..i never played the game ..but are there weapon or stat choices for armors? are we free to customize it to match our playstyle?
How plausible is it to play 3 weapons? Like if I want to main DPS in PvP but heal or tank in PvE to get in groups when needed, would being like Staff/Bow + Wand for heal flex or GS/Dagger + SnS for tank flex, is that a possibility?
yes its possible but i would say its easier as a healer. you will only level your main weapon combination for pvp and ignore your heal/tank build for the beginning. of course you will do less damage and heal worse because your spells are not leveled and your item has a low level. but you will always find groups via the dungeon finder. After a while you will start to level your third weapon. but the question is if you just do that because you get faster groups. In Korea it was pretty easy to find groups even as a DPS. Thats because we have 6 player groups ... so 4 spots for DPS.
@@grobs4678 tysm for the response. When would you say a 0 investment wand or SnS becomes unable to heal or tank in dungeons regardless of the players ability?
@@RKxNiGhTMaReZ its hard to say.. because all the skill specialization which we got will make the early content a lot easier... it really depends on how much they will adapt the early content. but your pvp gear will also just do fine and give you a lot of stats and so on... so I would still say that you should be able to heal all the t1 dungeons.. .even though it will be way harder. for tanking I am actually not sure if you can hold the aggro :D
Would love to be able to play greatsword and staff or greatsword and longbow, but unfortunately, those are subpar compared to others, yet I find them the most fun for my own playstyle. I just hope I won't be too far behind in end-game pve content.
How is about SNS/Wand (main class) for group PVP and group PVE tank + 5 DPS. And SNS/GS (side class) for solo PVE and group PVE tank/heal/4x DPS. Can both of weapon pairs work on the same gear armour and accessories?
Yes, that is totally possible. Of course there can always be a certain item that will be more powerful on your main build then on your secondary build. but as long as you dont want to min max both builds thats totally possible
Thanks for your response I'm 99% sure that I will play SNS/Wand the only my annoying concern is low dmg for solo farming and clearing solo dungeons (if I have to do it regularly) I know it will take extra grinding for the 3rd weapon but let it be 🙂
thats all possible. its not like you deal no damage. When it comes to solo farming its even actually really good. you can make crazy huge pulls. you should for sure just start with your main combo and get the 3rd weapon later... dont do that from the beginning.
im very confused when it comes xbow/dagger , some people say its S tier in pvp some say its low as C tier , i really have no idea if they are good or bad , how much would the weapon that i pick will effect me finding a good guild to join ? if they effect it which dps combo u suggest for me?
So XBow/Dagger has for sure its place in all form ov PVP content. But its by far the hardest class to play in PVP. So if you are really good on the class then guilds will for sure love you :) but there are always classes that not so many people play but are really needed. if you play such a class then you will for sure find a guild way more easy. so for DPS in large scale its probably Staff/bow. easy to play and always really really good and needed
I worry that the SnS/wand tank will make pure healers redundant in PVE content. Is the 1x Tank/healer 5x DPS composition doing more damage than the 1x Tank 1x Healer 4x DPS composition?
From my point of view NO! I think you are talking about PVE correct? Its not as bad anymore. NCSOFT is trying to nerf xbow more and more in PVE and now its actually getting closer... so dont worry too much about it :)
does it matter whether staff or bow is the main weapon? if it does what changes does it make? i see some videos where staff is main and some videos where bow is main
There is no "main" weapon in the game, maybe your playstyle defines what your main weapon is, but not the game. It mostly just defines your auto attack. Some other small things, but this is ignoreable.
I assume SnS/GS would require the least amount of investment for a tank from what other ppl been saying, but how about for DPS? Which would you say requires the least amount of investment but is still really good in PvE solo? I was planning on going xbow/dagger cause it looks cool, but ive been hearing that it requires a lot of investment to have the necessary gear/stats esp archeweapons later on
yeah xbow/dagger can feel a lot better with more items. but to be honest every other dps class is totally fine. dont think too much about. take what fits your gameplay. way more important :)
@@grobs4678 oh okay sweet. btw u mentioned staff and bow is like stationary artillery. does that mean im animation locked in place when casting spells? or am i still able to move around to position?
is there any point going GS/DG Over GS/SNS ? GS/SNS just seems better in most situation. Another issue I get with TNL is that the time investment for weapon skills seems super high so how do the devs handle balancing ? could they ever potentionally nerf gs/sns when people have to invest so much into a specific playstyle?
So yes, SNS/GS is broken at the moment, but it's not necessarily better in every type of content. A well-played GS/Dagger player can still perform well. However, it definitely shines more in small-scale PvP, as it's more of an assassin playstyle. Don't pick the weapon combo just because it's broken-pick the one that fits your playstyle. There are weekly patches in Korea, with frequent tweaks to the weapons. You might start playing SNS/GS because it's currently broken, but in a month, it could be nerfed to the ground. So, play what suits your playstyle best :)
I really want to try Throne amd Liberty however i dont see a Hand to hand combat style class like a monk i would literally try Fist/Dagger combo for best dps
Im old school MMORPG I played DAOC when it came out over 30 years ago.. im going to play this only a few worries .. is pvp skill base? Looks spamy like get hit with everything...i like to also solo pvp and that doesn't look like a thing.. and the combat..if can share some light in these I'd appreciate it
PvP in the game is skill-based, especially in small-scale. However, gear also plays a significant role, meaning if you're significantly under-geared, it can be tough. For solo PvP, there are two main options: the 3v3 Arena and dynamic events. Dynamic events are timed activities that occur in specific areas where you're automatically placed into one of three teams. While you're part of a team, the events allow for individual playstyles, so you can focus on your own objectives alongside others. There is also some open world PVP but thats just in nights in open world dungeons... As you already noticed focus is large scale PVP.
So all those 3 have completely different playstyles. SNS/GS is a tank. yes it also does a lot of damage and its broken at the moment but its still a tank. SNS/Wand you are an assassin in small scale with crazy burst damage and in large scale you are just a sleep bomber (so you set up engages for your team). And GS/Dagger you are a bruiser/assassin that shines in small scale pvp and is really hard to play in large scale. NCSOFT will release frequent patches to balance these weapon combinations. So you better not pick SNS/GS because its broken right now. Because they already said they will nerf it and you will either deal damage or be a tank. Think about whats your gameplay, where do you see yourself? its different from other MMOs. currently we have every week a patch that could always come with balancing of the weapons :)
I Played greatsword and dagger in the beta. It wasnt doing alot dmg and i could die quick. Was lvl 30 but had all blue gear like +6 because of the event that boosted. Now im considering playing sword and either greatsword or wand - but dont know which to choose. Im mainly playing solo, so i need to stay alive alot but also wanna do alot of dmg and i like flashy big aoe skills alot
Eh… I’d have to disagree with bow/dagger being bad at pve, single target damage is good with the marks, and you can Aoe clear somewhat efficiently. Also can be an off brand healer with bow skills
I heard that there were problems in korea launching the game on the "purple" client from NCSOFT. Now it will be on steam... I would assume it is also possible but I have actually no experience with MAC :S maybe someone else can help?
I can say that it used to work on Linux ( should work on Mac as well i guess, if you can install protondb or something similar ) but it stopped working 2 months ago, so who knows, maybe they added some anti cheat rule... Currently it doesn't work BUT i would suggest you anyway give it a try next month when it releases
I played Dagger/Staff on KR with 300 ping and had 0 problems in PvE. In fact it was so easy to grind that I am very surprised you called it a low damage spec for PvE. You can literally run around gathering mobs and killing them all with 2-3 spell casts, but then again I think your opinion on this is more of a skill issue. :)
yeah dont know what I should answer on this. You obviously have not played extensively in Korea. like there is no way a staff/dagger can compete with bow/staff or Bow/XBow in dungeons ^^ its not even close because it is all about consistent DPS and that is what a staff/dagger can provide ;)
Pala Build i think 😉(cause ill like to heal and support like sometimes an off-tank)......and Tank / Healers are will be rare.....if played enough mmo´s 😆........so with pala build you can play both role´s.....
If PVE: 1. actually all roles are pretty balanced. does not matter if Heal, DPS or Tank. Just because there are 4x DPS, 1x Heal and 1x Tank. Its not as bad as in other MMOs. 2. If I am honest as soon as people understood the meta. people might kick you because of that pick (as a healer). I am not saying its not possible to tank or heal as Pala. But the damage of the party will be so much lower compared to normal tank or heal. And after a while people always want to play meta ^^ If PVP: PALA IS GIGA Broken :)
So over on Reddit people are saying to focus on only 2 weapons because they are so resource intensive (mentioned 1 year in people on kr servers are finally maxing out weapons). How accurate is this? Will you be hamstringing yourself if you work on 3 or 4 weapons so you can have a pvp/pve set or is it best to find something you like that's a balance between them and only focus on 2 weapons?
1 year to max out weapons? these guys are not actively playing the game. 4 weapons is definitely too much at the beginning, but you can play 3 weapons. of course you focus on leveling and traiting 2 weapons first. the third weapon you will only level and not trait in the beginning but this is totally fine for pve. so yes for pvp you focus 100% on 2 weapons but after a few months you will still have 3 weapons because the meta is always changing and with that often the playstyle of the weapon combo. just having a third weapon gives you 2 more combinations to play with. :)

so you want a class that is good in every form of content :D staff/bow is good for large scale and PVE. staff/dagger is good in PVP but not so good in PVE...it will be always like this...
@@grobs4678 alr, what do you think abt bow/staff then also leveling up dagger that way I can swap between them depending on what I’m doing
@@Slick244 yeah you can do that. but first focus on 2 weapons for a while then get a third weapon :)
@@grobs4678 alright, thanks! 👍
today what best damage for pve/pvp? staff dagger or GS dagger
Staff dagger 4/5 in PVP and 2/5 in PVE
GS dagger 4/5 in PVP (5/5 in small scale and 3/5 in large scale) and 3.5/5 in PVE
Which bow is it for the healer class? Wand and which bow?
longbow
What do you recommand for newbies ?
DPS, Tank or Heal?
For heal? Verter BOw anda Wand pero SS and wand
Hi,
I'd like to be a healer in parties but be able to PVE on my own. What combination would be the most suitable for this?
Thanks for the video!
For PVE you can pair the wand with whatever you want. But I would say the easiest and most efficient combo is for sure staff + wand :)
@@grobs4678 Thanks! So this would make me able to do solo PVE and still be a valuable party healer?
@@Fent89 yes for sure :)
Thats really an good Video, but now i had to Choose between Greatsword and Dagger or Greatsword and Staff, well u didnt listed GS+Staff so its that bad?
it is not that bad but it is for sure not meta :D so what do you want to accomplish with your build? where do you want to shine?
If you're not too focused on the "meta" and just want to have fun. Then go for what ever build you want to enjoy. At the end of the day it's your time and enjoyment that is important.
As a xbox/dagger main, what stats should i focus most on improving??? Great video btw!!
thanks mate. I am really not a xbow/dagger expert but the most important stats for dealing more damage are for sure Attack Speed and Heavy Attack Chance. If you are talking about base stats then you should focus on "dexterity". hope that helps :)
@@grobs4678 Thank you so much!
Don't know if that GS/Dagger outfit can be found in game, but from a business perspective. Put that in the shop and will sell like crazy
thats gear is out of dungeons :) but you wont be able to farm that on release ...will come out later with the introduction of T2 dungeons.
@@grobs4678 I'm fine with that. I can wait. Looks sick tho
What's funny is I use staff and daggers, with my dagger being my defense and staff my offense heavily aggressive with burning stacks so I can using fireball barrage to its max potential of shooting over 20+ fireballs destroying my enemies. So PvE isn't an issue if you know how to build it right.
an issue it is for sure not ^^ you can play everything in PVE
so.. no dagger dagger...???
:D
@@grobs4678 ???
This game sucks, you cant duel wield shields smh
If i want to do a niece combo like, dagger and wand because I tend to play off meta, how do you think it'll do in pvp and pve and if it struggle in one to much when you get a third weapon what should i pair one with the other with so I can have wand and dagger and another combo for pve/pvp(what ever it struggle more with)
Can I ask a question? How viable is dagger and wand if you’re using wand for debuffs and dagger for damage. Mostly looking at it in a pvp aspect
wand/dagger is for sure viable but it is still a niche combo. its better in small scale then large scale pvp. But you can still find a way to make it viable everywhere. but its for sure harder to play then other combos
@@grobs4678 yeah I like unorthodox methods usually and playing like a degenerate so if it offers that kind of utility I’m down :) I can always swap to staff or SnS for large scale
@@CatLordSix yes :)
@@grobs4678 may I ask a few more questions? I’m on Xbox so we don’t get it till next week.
I’m planning on maining daggers. I mostly wanna do PvP for my secondary my options are
Xbow, staff, wand, SnS.
I understand Xbow is highest single target dps. But for the other 3 I like the concept of being more of a spell blade are there any advantages that the wand or staff offer that xbow doesn’t?
i'll go for SNS/Dagger ..i never played the game ..but are there weapon or stat choices for armors? are we free to customize it to match our playstyle?
you can customize so much in this game its crazy :D
Bow+SnS or Wand+Dagger. Xbow+Mag looks good. Xbow+GS to, I think
Would love to be able to play greatsword and staff or greatsword and longbow, but unfortunately, those are subpar compared to others, yet I find them the most fun for my own playstyle. I just hope I won't be too far behind in end-game pve content.
Greatsword and bow could work because bow has a heal that provide meaningful utility
you left out the machine gun fire ball for xbow and staffs? Why? That combo melts
its just less popular :S this was a meta snapshot... and its fun and good but not meta :S
Thanks for your response
I'm 99% sure that I will play SNS/Wand the only my annoying concern is low dmg for solo farming and clearing solo dungeons (if I have to do it regularly)
I know it will take extra grinding for the 3rd weapon but let it be 🙂
thats all possible. its not like you deal no damage. When it comes to solo farming its even actually really good. you can make crazy huge pulls. you should for sure just start with your main combo and get the 3rd weapon later... dont do that from the beginning.
Is Tome and Shield a good combination?
yes. the classical paladin! really strong
what is armor name of gs and dagger build ?
Is it viable to just run 1 weapon? So far the only one i enjoy using is the great sword
you can do that but nothing positive about it :D
im very confused when it comes xbow/dagger , some people say its S tier in pvp some say its low as C tier , i really have no idea if they are good or bad , how much would the weapon that i pick will effect me finding a good guild to join ? if they effect it which dps combo u suggest for me?
So XBow/Dagger has for sure its place in all form ov PVP content. But its by far the hardest class to play in PVP. So if you are really good on the class then guilds will for sure love you :)
but there are always classes that not so many people play but are really needed. if you play such a class then you will for sure find a guild way more easy. so for DPS in large scale its probably Staff/bow. easy to play and always really really good and needed
I worry that the SnS/wand tank will make pure healers redundant in PVE content. Is the 1x Tank/healer 5x DPS composition doing more damage than the 1x Tank 1x Healer 4x DPS composition?
From my point of view NO!
Sword/Greatsword has a lot of utility and damage as a PvE tank and does decent damage
Can u do sword shield and bow a tank with a long range attacks
between xbow/dagger and staff/bow, is there a lot of difference in DPS?
I think you are talking about PVE correct? Its not as bad anymore. NCSOFT is trying to nerf xbow more and more in PVE and now its actually getting closer... so dont worry too much about it :)
When I want to Bow and Staff that means my main weapon is Bow and secondary Staff? Is it matter?
I do long bow and wand but still do primarily dps. More or less I see it as a healer support but not nearly as good
does it matter whether staff or bow is the main weapon? if it does what changes does it make? i see some videos where staff is main and some videos where bow is main
I was planning on going xbow/dagger cause it looks cool, but ive been hearing that it requires a lot of investment to have the necessary gear/stats esp archeweapons later on
yeah xbow/dagger can feel a lot better with more items. but to be honest every other dps class is totally fine. dont think too much about. take what fits your gameplay. way more important :)

is there any point going GS/DG Over GS/SNS ?

Everything I’ve been watching seems to point me towards sns/gs. Been debating between that along with sns/wand or gs/dagger.

If PVE:
1. actually all roles are pretty balanced. does not matter if Heal, DPS or Tank.
And after a while people always want to play meta ^^
If PVP:
PALA IS GIGA Broken :)
@@grobs4678 Appreciate the response and feedback as always, thank you
