Just hearing someone say “to get from 1-50 is going to take a VERY long time” and seeing that I got to 20 after like 5 hours, I realize most of ya’ll probably would not survive a day in Runescape or WoW lol. The point of an MMO isn’t to get in, beat the game and get out. It’s not a speedrun lol. It’s a living breathing world to explore, learn, and adventure.

I don't understand why people get mad when you can't reach max lvl in a few hours, I like games where it takes a long time to lvl up, it gives me time to explore, enjoy the lvling and feels more rewarding when you reach each level.
Agreed, I actually think this game is paced really, really well. I prefer a good 20-40 hours to reach max level because it actually makes sure you know how to play the game competently and don't ruin your endgame groups lol
I've put in 12-hours and already hit 30. Felt like leveling is pretty fast in this game. A lot of the negative reviews on Steam are people just hating on it primarily because it's another Korean F2P MMO.
Im having the best time ever with this game. Its been an exciting time on soulfire server. I love how packed the towns and grinding areas are with players. Reminds me of the old mmos weve all played.
Best MMO I’ve played since ESO I was surprised running around town seeing a lot of characters and thinking they were NPCs because of the volume but I walked up to a lot and they were real people lol!!
It will, add NW:A for cheap, got lots of MMO till something better comes. I'll play just for the DAOC pvp type content. And since it's really Rock Paper Scissors? Whales don't scare me.

@TheDabehofa have you ever played DAOC? Think of this as a monetized version more or less. It's extremely well done, also. I'm finding very little fault, minus minor bugs that will be fixed in time. 7950x 64gigs 6000hz Ram, 4080 super OC ProArt and 240hz monitor. This game runs like butter. I can see some issues clearly. They will be fixed, and issues that are likely causing problems for consoles. I'll exploit them in PvP with the graphical advantages. All in all? The game is rather good so far. (Pro tip, pvp comes early ish, may wanna remember that in your stats) and this almost none existing ping? Hahahaha.... it's so evil.
warframe has currency you pay for with irl money and you can charge that currency for items you sell.. so you can basially get the currency you usually play money for, for free.. i love that TaL has the same thing going on.. its working super well in warframe..

Absolutely loved the Lineage 2 feeling. I've played L2 most of my youth. I'm only on lv12 now but I like the mechanics. Once I master the basics I'm sure it will be a lot of fun. It already is. Also I'm pretty sure it will tons up upgrades and they will listen to players. This is a game you can play for 10-20 years.
Crossbow/dagger is probably what I'll go for, I don't think I'll play early access though, in case there are the typical launch day type issues/crashes
I’ve just started playing (7 hours in so far) and have to say I haven’t felt the need to hand over any real money. If I can earn in game what you can pay for then that’s fine by me. It’s a free game and if I can still continue playing many hours later without handing over my money, fantastic and I may buy a skin to say thanks.
I only bought the battle pass thing they have so I can get more rewards. I agree with everything you said here though. No need to spend your real money unless you want a cosmetic or two 😆

I tried the open beta this summer despite negative reviews had fun decided to try the kr version where they changed so much and let me tell ya this game is extremely enjoyable. If youre looking for an mmo you can sink lots of time into and enjoy progression and a good balance of pvp and pve than give it a try. Its free after all.

I feel like a lot of F2P games shoot themselves in the foot when they sell stuff to make you better and to win. Skins, coins to use in game, cool looking weapons (with no special stats or buffs) is one thing. But allowing them to buy extra levels, special weapons that puts them far and above everyone is just silly.
One note: the little helper guys are called Amitoi and it is a bit of a joke, because they are dolls basically, and when asked they might say, I "Am A Toy"

I hear a lot about picking 2 weapons and sticking with them and I'm all good with that. My question though is at the beginning there is some wiggle room to try the weapons out I hope so you can kind of get a feel for WHAT you like before committing?
Dont be. RPS makes whales not exactly as tough as you would think. I've clowned P2W players on the regular. Just build to kill specific types of players. Im built to currently kill Xbow, dagger players. Ive spent like? $30. After tax. And I trash them, with easy. No matter how much they spend.
I bought traits and played the game a lot on kr this summer and spend around $250 to get pretty much end game geared. So imo not that bad could have gotten it all f2p just slower but the grind is enjoyable so no big deal. Of course they have something called arcboss weapons for the whales too those go around $1k-$2k but honestly they dont really give you a crazy advantage maybe like 30%-40% stronger because of their unique effects.
I wish they made the items more 3d like. Most modern mmo's still lack this. One of the few who had this was Cabal online. This somehow made the items more real.

If you have a piece of gear, say a blue piece that's level 6, you can transfer the level/xp to another piece of gear. So, if you drop a purple piece for example that would be a nice upgrade, you don't have to level it up again from base - you "feed" your level 6 blue piece into it and all that CP is applied to the new piece but the piece is destroyed in the process. In ESO terms, it would be like taking your Orders Wrath gold dagger and feeding it into your green Relequin dagger - the Orders Wrath dagger would be destroyed but the Relequin dagger would be upgraded to gold

I feel like some community needs to learn free to play games last longer with micro transactions. Even longer with pay to win. Look at Neverwinter that games been around for 12 to 13 years with a constant community and it's free to play with micro transactions and some pay to win aspects.

When it comes to campaign chapters everything is unlocked and its just level gated. However open world content is locked behind the milestone system but is global. So after a certain amount of time content unlocks for everyone. ATM I believe NA East is on Chapter 4 of the Milestone. And these take anywhere from 12-24 hrs to unlock. So ever 12-24 hrs the next step in the chapter can be done for bonus loot and on e the time runs out the content for that level is unlocked for player. Its kinda lame but is meant to slow down world progression on launch.
Yes, but you have to pay for it There are no classes, you just have to switch weapons and upgrade your skills in it. I don't know, yet, but it looks like yes.
I do Sword/Shield mainhand and Wand offhand. The killspeed as opposed to a dedicated DPS is atrocious but i always play Tank / Support so the slower speed doesn't bother me. I always get dungeon spots quickly and when soloing i can just gather a bunch of mobs and burn them down all at once.
I was using same setup and definitely nice but I suggest trying great sword main with sword and shield backup the survivability is even better and kill speed is definitely quicker or maybe great sword and wand if you still want your support buffs not as much survivability but way better dps
Struggling between wand/staff and wand/bow. I’m a support player in MMOs so wand/bow is more beneficial due to more heals…but wand/staff is just more fun to me 🥲 leaning towards going with what’s more fun to me
@@KirtAkaKj the struggle could be cause you have ranged weapons. Try a range and close combat? I start off attacking at range and when they get close I pull out the sword. Works great so far.

Wait did I hear that right? There's rng in upgrading? And you can possibly destroy or not upgrade the item at all? Sheesh I hope that mechanic does not exist in the NA version because that's what destroyed BDO early on. BDO eventually removed that mechanic where the item can be destroyed. It also didn't help that people were paying 2 win to increase their rng chances with items they bought with RMT.
TBH, I miss MMO's where you had to choose a class and stay with it. I used to love being specialized within either tanking, healing or dps. Even though it sometimes took longer to get a group for raids or dungeons, it was fun.
I like this style, it makes me able to do multiple roles, from what I feel like doing, or from who I play with. It was good in New World. Only drawback is the lack of amount of skills. Having only a few moves is kinda sad. I like the variaty, so hopefully this game will provide in both areas.
So I got a question for you, I went into the options (settings>character>amitoi) option to control at what HP you want your amitoi to use the world tree leaves isn't there, did they move it or am I just blind?
Fortunately there is none of the pay 2 win mechanics that were in the korean version the only thing u can buy is premium currency that you can spend in the auction house to give to other players for lythograms they farmed and sell.

I was so excited. started to dig in to the game. PvP focused. open world? -portals. ATLEAST some P2W.. maps LOOK big.. i installed New World nd started playing that even before Aeternum comes.. :D
Ya slow and easy is to my way of thinking, most notably the first char I put in a game. F2P or monthly cost, it is learning and exploring that is the draw.
Lvling dpesnt take a long time. I already have a lvl 50 got it on my third day. Made a new character its a day old and lvl 37 ill be 50 by tonight an i work full time. D the main story quests. When you hit a stop in the quests do the aquisition quests in an area sinilar lvl to you for like 30 min an yoir back to the main story after gwtting a lvl.or 2.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR UPGRADE MATERIALS. The game is pretty easy and I made it to level 50 during the beta while wearing the original pants I got at the beginning of the game. I didn't upgrade anything until I was almost level 45
Why would you do that? Thats hindering yourself from having better stats. Besides, it’s not like you can’t get the upgrade materials again. It’s what you’re literally meant to do lol

the main difference, is that throne has lockouts, like weekly and daily lockouts. WF on the other hand, you can farm to your hearts desire.

Appreciate this, I work in fast paced healthcare and I don’t mind slow progression because patients come first. The fishing looks addictive 😂

Yes you can, and it's fine. You have to keep 2 once you start training them when they are blue.
The tutorial throws every weapon at you to mess with. It doesn’t have all the skills unlocked but it gives you a feel of what you’ll be messing with…

It’s just like city of heros(NCsoft biggest mmorpg in early 2000s) but way more in depth with its leveling system

I feel like some community needs to learn free to play games last longer with micro transactions. Even longer with pay to win. Look at Neverwinter that games been around for 12 to 13 years with a constant community and it's free to play with micro transactions and some pay to win aspects.

When it comes to campaign chapters everything is unlocked and its just level gated.
However open world content is locked behind the milestone system but is global. So after a certain amount of time content unlocks for everyone. ATM I believe NA East is on Chapter 4 of the Milestone. And these take anywhere from 12-24 hrs to unlock. So ever 12-24 hrs the next step in the chapter can be done for bonus loot and on e the time runs out the content for that level is unlocked for player. Its kinda lame but is meant to slow down world progression on launch.

There are no classes, you just have to switch weapons and upgrade your skills in it.

I’m main the daggers but I have the great sword for its abilities like the aoes and extra survival, I just started.
it seems clear to me that this review was based on early in the KR launch. Lots of outdated information.
Thinking of going bow/staff or bow/daggers but Is there opportunity to try all the weapons/abilities before locking in??
I do Sword/Shield mainhand and Wand offhand.
The killspeed as opposed to a dedicated DPS is atrocious but i always play Tank / Support so the slower speed doesn't bother me.
I always get dungeon spots quickly and when soloing i can just gather a bunch of mobs and burn them down all at once.
I was using same setup and definitely nice but I suggest trying great sword main with sword and shield backup the survivability is even better and kill speed is definitely quicker or maybe great sword and wand if you still want your support buffs not as much survivability but way better dps
so can i try the weapon before i upgrade them or upgarde the skills of them?

Struggling between wand/staff and wand/bow. I’m a support player in MMOs so wand/bow is more beneficial due to more heals…but wand/staff is just more fun to me 🥲 leaning towards going with what’s more fun to me
@@KirtAkaKj the struggle could be cause you have ranged weapons. Try a range and close combat? I start off attacking at range and when they get close I pull out the sword. Works great so far.

Wait did I hear that right? There's rng in upgrading? And you can possibly destroy or not upgrade the item at all? Sheesh I hope that mechanic does not exist in the NA version because that's what destroyed BDO early on. BDO eventually removed that mechanic where the item can be destroyed. It also didn't help that people were paying 2 win to increase their rng chances with items they bought with RMT.
It's not that much rng and no you can't destroy it by upgrading it
TBH, I miss MMO's where you had to choose a class and stay with it. I used to love being specialized within either tanking, healing or dps. Even though it sometimes took longer to get a group for raids or dungeons, it was fun.

I like this style, it makes me able to do multiple roles, from what I feel like doing, or from who I play with. It was good in New World. Only drawback is the lack of amount of skills. Having only a few moves is kinda sad. I like the variaty, so hopefully this game will provide in both areas.

Lvling dpesnt take a long time. I already have a lvl 50 got it on my third day. Made a new character its a day old and lvl 37 ill be 50 by tonight an i work full time. D the main story quests. When you hit a stop in the quests do the aquisition quests in an area sinilar lvl to you for like 30 min an yoir back to the main story after gwtting a lvl.or 2.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR UPGRADE MATERIALS. The game is pretty easy and I made it to level 50 during the beta while wearing the original pants I got at the beginning of the game. I didn't upgrade anything until I was almost level 45
you can transfer the upgrades to other items
Why would you do that? Thats hindering yourself from having better stats. Besides, it’s not like you can’t get the upgrade materials again. It’s what you’re literally meant to do lol
