I guess we’re all gonna act like kyrie and Kevin love wasn’t hurt in 2015 in which Lebron pulls out 2 games by his self meaning if kyrie and love played in 2015 they might not have won a chip till Durant got there. So they knew they needed him.

What type of argument is that ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 after 15 there was 16 !!! And those boys were giving the Cavs the business !! THEY WERE UP 3-1 ! Before Draymond got suspended . That was against the Cavs with Lebron, Kyrie and Love …
Everyone and their mama agree if he didn’t get suspended that stuff was over … lebron himself DID ALL HE COULD TO MAKE SURE HE TRIEST TO TAKE DRAYMOND OUT OF HIS GAME (that’s historically NOT LEBRON’s Game, he is usually just the nest player on the court and plays the right way and they win . But they couldn’t … so in desperation he had to resort to other ways , the “dark arts” , it worked ! That’s on Draymond . It’s a battle)
The point remains which ever way you argue it , it is 1-1 . Draymond knows what he is talking about …
You should listen instead of trying to argue , you have tough this through smh …

Real talk u don’t know what ur talking abt tbh bro. The 2017 cavs got way better then the year prior. Picked up shooters and so many peices that made then unstoppable. They lost 1 or 2 games heading into the finals…they had the best shooting% other then the warriors with kd. Lil

    • @judyclarkson5887
      @judyclarkson5887 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I don't think it's bcos of that necessarily. Sure muscle additions is great for his current performance and be a more complete player, but back then Steph just fell in love with the 3 too much. There was soo many moments on that game 7 of 2016 finals where he could've took it to the hoop rather than settling for the 3s that he kept bricking. His issues back then was his immaturity, he wanted to embrace that 'best shooter ever' label to the point that it became too predictable for the opponents to guard and neutralize him. While nowadays he seems to balance out his game that he would simply take what the opponents give him despite he's still attempting many 3s, but there's no much more forcing shots unless he tries to do one of those heat checks stuff.

I also think the part that Candace Parker tweeted and what she said about Steph curry and him being so humble and make that sacrifice his numbers to make the thing work with Kevin Durant as a whole and I think that was also a big thing why it worked as well.🏀

I’m in your lane. It’s absurd to think a 73 win team wouldn’t be able to beat LBJ Cavs the second time around… Warriors was too committed in the regular season trying for the winningest record and was a little too spent I think. Warriors as a whole would’ve gotten better and do what’s needed in order to win if KD wasn’t there. I think in people’s minds they know the truth but they don’t want to downplay KD’s impact when he’s on GSW so they just sticking to moments- KD was the MVP on GSW vs my thought - Steph was the MVP of the team.
Yes, Curry30’s gotten stronger, bulk up means a whole lot for his game - becoming a threat inside the paint as well.

It’s not a knock to KD to say GSW can win without him because it’s true. The Warriors were up 3-1 Vs LBJ/Irving so that do meant something on top that they’re a 73-win team and just beaten a dominant OKC team. In sports, there can be a very fine line between winners and losers. The bigger picture was that the 2016-17 GSW had eliminated one of the bigger threats in the west (KD’s OKC team) before the season even started.

Klay didn’t play well. Game 7 went down to the wire. Yet people act like it was guaranteed that Cavs would’ve won in 2017 and 2018 without Durant. Kinda like what Spurs did in 2014 with the same squad after the heartbreak that they got the yr before. I think Dray was a bit disrespectful here with his take (maybe in part to give Kd his due respects and credits).
Curry didn't necessarily needed to be that guy for them to win against Cavs. They won that game 1 & 2 of 2016 finals by a blowout fashion while Curry only scored 13 & 18 points. What they needed was for their wingman (especially Barnes) to hit his open shots off of the double teams that Curry's consistently drawn. Besides, Curry still performed to his standard in some of those gms which was game 4 where he scored 38, game 5 he scored 25, and game 6 he got 30 despite his controversial foul trouble. Game 7 was where he absolutely choked, mainly in the last stretch of the 4th quarter after he hit a 3 to tie the game at 83 all.

Just finished watching the full games of games 1 and 2 of the 2015 finals.
Both games went into OT and were spectacular if you are a fan of defense.
I thought being down Kevin Love, Coach Blatt had a nice game plan in both games.
Game two he had to adjust to not having both K Love and Kyrie and The Cavs were well prepared defensively.
End of game two with The Cavs going crazy with an emotional win, there was a sort of weird scene i caught of Coach Blatt trying to give Bron a rather warm embrace but Bron seemed a little cold towards him in the exchange.
Probably not a huge deal as The Cavs would go on to win game 3 in Cleveland but given that Blatt was released the next season, there must have been some internal differences between head coach and star player?
I am just speculating here and would love to hear from Coach Blatt about his time in Cleveland.
Coaching in the nba is certainly not easy.
Hard to know what would have happened with a healthy K Love and Kyrie in that series because neither is known as great defenders but both are known shot makers, so who knows?
    Great games by the way!
I suggest nba fans re-watch both games 1 and 2 to remember the intensity of the moments!

Draymond is either trying to be nice to his friend, the sensitive, KD. Or he is simply delusional. The Warriors set the record of 73 games won in 2016 regular season without KD. And came 1 win away from repeating as champs. With KD they never got anywhere close to that #. Maybe it helped in the playoffs. But I doubt that the whole league would just suddenly know how to beat them the very next season after they set the all time record and would have won it all if not for a suspension and other factors going against them. KD is a very good player though.

And so much for "teams have figured them out" when this yr has been 5 yrs from that point of time, and teams still looks so clueless in order to neutralize this team when they're on a roll. Still no one plays like them and outsmart them in fact as we've seen in this recent postseason. Like cmon Dray you can be better than this in your assessment lol

Dray just trying to be nice because he’s partially the blame for Warriors finals lost in 15. He knows full well the Warriors as is were heads and shoulders above all other teams as they showed in the regular season and playoff including the finals. If big man Bogut didn’t go down Warriors would have mopped the Cavs in 5. They lost all 3 games after he went out.

Think about it, Warriors were already not motivated after choking a 3-1 lead. Why do you think they were going to beat a "healthy" and motivated Cavs team in 2017's finals? What? You think Harrison barnes was going to fill KD's gap? People seem to forget that KD averaged 35 ppg shooting 55% from the field in 2017's finals which no one else in the league at that time could've averaged such crazy numbers except for Lebron so they needed someone to match Lebron's high scoring games and efficiency and KD filled that role perfectly. You heard it from a guy that actually plays in the team so anything else said by fans talking out of their ass invalid because Draymond just ended that delusional discussion thinking the Cavs were going to beat a healthy Cavs team 2017/2018 without KD...

    • @JohnnyBGood-vm7rx

They could have won it in 2016 if the league didn't step in to suspend Dray and take out Steph in game 6 with the softest fouls called ever in a finals. Dray has an enhanced visualization of himself. It’s ok. It’s healthy. But, the Cavs beat the Warriors in 16 cuz Steph was playing on a bad wheel, Bogut couldn’t finish the series due to injury, Dray got suspended, and Iggy was hurt as well I believe. Change any of those factors and the Warriors win. Steph didn’t lack that ability at the time, he was just hampered.
