Man this interview was on point. Dray asked great questions and made sure to let KD talk and feel comfortable. Nothing was ever rushed, it all flowed together throughout the interview. This is a great interview! Often times as fans, we allow envy and the media to form our personal opinions of athletes. We disregard who they actually are as PEOPLE. Interviews like this allow us to see them for who they really are and understand why they made the decisions we deemed controversial. Respect!

The media is more concerned with getting that viral clip/moment/soundbyte. Their main objective is to gain traffic. This interview with Dray is way more authentic because his main objective is to gain insight. The perspective that he’s listening and asking questions from is that of a fellow player making the convo more genuine too. Pro athletes keep their guard’s up when speaking with talking heads because they don’t know if there’s ulterior motives involved.

It’s lonely at the top, but he was lonelier as a kid at the bottom. I love how genuine & unfiltered both these cats are! It’s too bad they were robbed of the chance to do it like this before. You can tell KD would’ve stayed had it stayed family. That’s what he was drawn to in GS. Steph, Dray, Klay & KD were brothers. It’s a damn shame!
