Born and raised in Cleveland. To this day whenever I watch film from this game 7 I still get chills! I remember being so anxious the whole game I couldn’t even eat. Then how happy our city was people from all walks of life just hugging each other and crying. I loved that for us

Only thing I have a problem with is calling Draymonds Suspension questionable. Only because he didn’t get suspended for hitting Lebron when he stepped over him, Draymond got a Technical Foul and in the playoffs if you reach a certain number of Technicals you get suspended and he had 1 Tech left before he would be suspended. So if he didn’t get so many Techs in the playoffs he wouldn’t have been suspended for Game 5. But I still believe the outcome would’ve still been the same, but thats just me.
Everyone seems to forget he should of been suspends against okc when he kicked Steven adams in the nuts but they let it slide cuz obviously wanted golden state vs cavs way bigger match up and storyline

That's the definition of Most VALUABLE Player. It's most valuable to your team not most valuable to your individual stats. Which is why Kobe got his MVP with less eye popping numbers than that 05-06 szn cause he just shot the ball less but had a lot better team success. Also Bron that year was 2nd in MVP voting because he took his team to 50 wins (didn't have that great of a cast just like Kobe) and his individual stats was 31/7/6 shooting only 23 shots a game. So similar numbers to Kobe that year on less shots with better team success while also not having the best cast of players around him

He had a lot to do with achieving the comeback, obviously. Back to back 41 point games, a 27/11/11 triple double with 2 steals and 3 blocks in game 7. Regardless of other factors, they saw him do that to them, and just honestly admit how great he was.
The GSW had their own fluke circumstances. Every team they faced along the way had their starting point guards out with injuries, easing their way.
