Hey Adam, look after some chineese Android dual din radio, they use the top din emplacement and leave the second one nerly empty but the front screen is a full dual din size. Look at the dynavin and things like that for the e46. It's always the same electronics but with different front end to fit in each car. That would give you a lot of clearance for the cylinder reservoir.

You could've put an offset on the pull lever maybe use the vice that you have to bend it and it looks like aluminum that will bend easy that way you can mount the base straight versus slanted or pointing towards the driver
Just a psa for anyone with CV axles...dont tighten with an impact or over tighten. Find out the torque spec. Too tight can cause hub assemblies, wheel bearings, axles and diff parts to go out alot sooner than normal. Parts usually have torque specs for a reason. The z looks awesome. Hopefully we get to see the cream and black z sliding together. Btw you should paint the black Z the 240s engine bay color. That would look hot with gold wheels
with the brakes to push the piston back leave the pad in then use a C clamp to push it back on a single piston can use the same process with a multi piston caliper but use 2 c clamps
Adam there is a special tool for the handbrake assembly spring clips and trust me it saved your sanity using it I am sure you can get one from most tool shops ai don't know the name of it but they will know what you want. Your knowledge of car repair modifying has come on loads in a couple of months, and that brake line work was better than I have seen a garage do.
That hydro master looks like it would be a royal P.I.T.A. to fill. The install may be cleaner with it tucked up into the dash. But it sure looks like it makes servicing it miserable. I like to make stuff as easy to work on as possible. Even if that means the looks suffer a little. On the calipers I usually use a old inner pad and a C-clamp to press the piston into the caliper. Using the pad pushes the piston in even. It work great unless the pistons are the kind that thread in.
I haven’t added fluid or had to service the master on my s13 once in the past two years. It’s fine so long as there are no leaks, and the radio/trim takes about 2 min to remove anyway. All clips
Maybe for the radio instead of a single DIN you could get an android disk less double since they are usually very shallow. Then you wouldn't have dead space, it would look good, and since you have the stock ECU you can use the Torque app with an OBDII Bluetooth adapter and add gauges without having to hack up the dash. Might be a clean solution and the are pretty reasonably priced.
Super stoked to see the final set up for the hydro! I was wondering as we get closer to the date where you pick the winner how will you do it? Just an idea but it would be cool to see a live feed on TH-cam of you picking the winner out of a hat or something.

Hey just wanted to let you know I know you have a some harbor freight tools but I also know you go to parts stores fairly often so I'd really recommend looking into the Carlyle tools by Napa and also some of the Duralast tools from AutoZone I find them to be overall nicer quality then harbor freight Pittsburgh pro tools

Is there any way possible you could run the lines for the hydro with out taking off the drive shaft? If so could you explain it in the next video? I really want to do a dual caliper set up and see videos and people always take out the drive shaft and being that I don't have a lift it would be a pain. Thanks !
Justin LaBarge yes but the cable pulls the lever on the calliper which pushes fluid so the piston moves to clamp on the disk. Where as the internal drum style parking brake is all mechanical
Satveer Degun No, it is still mechanical, the cable is attached to a cam inside the caliper. Hence why you need to wind the pistons back in when doing pads on these setups, usually with a janky tool from the auto parts store.

Always release the handbrake tension when doing the parkingbrake, then the autotensioner in the brake assembly should do the rest🙂👌 Edit: i just saw that there isn't any autotensioner :P

For the caliper, to push the piston back in, just use an old brake pad and a giant C-clamp. Works great every time :)

dude use a c-clamp and old brake pad to compress the caliber that way you don't have to pull the brake line off and put it in the vice
