Great work guys, the building looks really good. The only thing i find odd though is the slope in the resin floor, it would have looked much better if it was levelled off
Looks stunning 🤩 Not made my mind up about the resin, I kinda think it should have been level. (Not something I’ll ever have to worry about anyway way 😂) top job 👍👍
Being a pleb, this level of workmanship is just phenomenal - I am a helicopter Critical Care Paramedic and we all have our trades, but still, just awesome.
lol who's here because this is the only video popped up when you search for mat's weekly video on sunday night. man, without this video, i wouldn't call my weekend completed.
Superb work guys! Work really well done. I think you missed the opportunity to add light behind the stretch fabric, this could have added a nice brightness at nights or dark days
Accidentally found the first one of the build and had to watch the rest. Outstanding job, very jealous of Matt's new gaff. You do a great job of presenting the jobs needed, definite new subscriber.
Wow. just wow, haha I've worked for a few garden room companies but this build is another level 👌 massive respect to you all it looks absolutely amazing 😍
I have really enjoyed watching this job. The workmanship is absolutely top notch. Personal OCD, I would have had to dig out for that other step, so it was uniform with the other one. I know it slopes down on the left so would have probably had to create a step in there as well but my OCD couldn't handle it lol
Hopefully this is a precursor to working on Mat's house overall! Top work, loving the series... Need more top quality gents like yourselves down under 🙏
Great job lads. here's a little pro tip for you, if you have bags of cement, plaster, ect, put them into large vacuum bags they will last forever. if the bags are open roll the top of the bag and tape closed then put into vacuum bag , saves you a lot over the year no waste
Found through watching Matt now look forward to each episode - being an ex spark its good to see proper quality tradesman at work, the ton of cowboys out there could learn a bit from these lot! Bravo lads!
23:45 A couple of weeks back when you put the additional strengthening under the rear deck area I predicted a hut-tub jacuzzi would be going in there. Not disappointed! We have ours under cover too, and it’s amazing to be in the hot water when it’s tipping it down with rain. Great job 👍
Nah mate, sunken hot tubs are the worst. Makes maintenance a nightmare and it's awkward to get in and out of the tub. Sure they might look better hidden out of sight but having made a deck with a sunken hot tub and had to live with it for years it really wasn't worth that hassle. You need to have access to the sides to change the pump and heating element if they ever go wrong (which they do)
@@phejom yeah he has access under the decking. In the 10yrs I've had mine I've not had to replace any. Composite deck boards come up in an instant too :) I loved stepping down into mine
I've watched this whole series TWICE! Just fabulous. Does Matt know there's new Socal Housing high-rise flats being built opposite? These guys are another level.
I think the LED lights on the posts would look great facing inwards rather than out into the dark paddock, so evening guests can see them. -(or better still, lights on both sides of the posts) Wonderful looking job, nice work lads!
Great job guys , don’t know if you can get them in the uk, you can get little plugs which are colour matched to the decking to cover the stainless steel screws in the face of the board. 👌🏻
Stretch ceilings have been used in Russia for years. I had my entire house done with this. Huge advantage over conventional ceilings. You can put lights anywhere, you can add ‘features’ low maintenance, different colours, patterns and designs and when you get bored with it, just order a new skin and change it..much better in vinyl as opposed to fabric like this, as it’s much easier to keep clean, available in Matt, satin or gloss and easier to install as you install it then heat shrink it.
Looks beautiful. Not sure what it's actually going to be used for but I like it. So when it's all done you guys are going to do the inside renovations for the house?
I thought you lot were building a shed in my garden. I should of known you were building your own house 🙃

Enjoy the r8 lads! Well deserved.
😁🙏🏼🙏🏼
Quality of workmanship is sublime
Love the work. Think it was a mistake to follow the fall of the ground however, and should have been built up level like you did with the decking
Very rare I ever watch videos twice, this is a first for me…I’ve watched from the first one to this but just a stunning build. Job satisfaction 1000%
Thanks mate much appreciated
Huge props to all you lot that work outdoors in that weather.

Yeah definitely looks wrong with the resin not being level
That is the coolest deck lighting system I've ever seen, and the sleekest post and railing kit ever... Love it!!
Wow, thanks!
That stretched fabric ceiling is absolute mustard. Chefs kiss 🤌🏻
😁 first time seeing it and agree such a quality product plus can be any colour or even printed pictures etc 😁

That's absolutely mental. Love it. Soon as i seen the stretched bit thought it would look amazing with start lights.
Wow, that exterior 😍😍 The lights against the Thermo Ayous is absolutely stunning!

Matt should have recessed the hot tub - it could have sat on the ground and reduced the load on the raised deck :)
but if he ever needs to replace or remove it, it's better to keep it on deck.
